Chrispin from Kushiland Tours provided an excellent service both in planning and executing our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Our trip was very diverse and we had many changes in our planning, and he was so patient and accommodating all the way, and provided the most helpful tips and suggestions. It would have been impossible to set up our holiday without him, his hard work and constant presence as well as his affable personality are really unique and made us feel safe, confident and comfortable all through the preparation and the actual vacation. Everything worked out just perfectly and he was always present and timely and helpful. We cannot recommend Kushiland Tours enough for anyone wishing to explore Tanzania and Zanzibar!

We recently completed a Kilimanjaro trek via the Rongai Route with Kushiland Tours, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Although it’s a small local company, their service, organization, and personal attention were outstanding from start to finish.

In the months leading up to our trip, the owner Chrispin stayed in regular contact with us by email, patiently answering questions and making sure we felt fully prepared. He even met us personally at the airport, which was a wonderful and reassuring touch after a long journey.

Our guides were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We felt safe and well supported every step of the way. When we reached the higher altitudes and started doubting ourselves, they were a constant source of motivation—encouraging us, pacing us perfectly, and ultimately helping us reach the summit.

The camp service was also exceptional. Our cook prepared delicious, varied meals three times a day. We had brought plenty of snacks as backup but never needed them; the food was more than enough and always tasty.

Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Kushiland Tours delivered a truly memorable Kilimanjaro adventure on the beautiful Rongai Route, and we highly recommend them to anyone considering this incredible trek.

La Tanzania è un paese meraviglioso con una grande varietà di paesaggi: dal mare con spiagge bianche di sabbia e barriera corallina di Zanzibar ai parchi pieni di animali come Tarangire e Ngorongoro, alle piantagioni di banani sulle pendici del Kilimangiaro ...ma soprattutto quello che abbiamo apprezzato di più è stato il rapporto con la popolazione locale molto simpatica e accogliente. Infine un ringraziamento particolare a Chrispin della Kushiland Tours, un'agenzia di viaggi locale estremamente ben organizzata e professionale: assolutamente da consigliare!!!

Quest'estate siamo stati in Tanzania per 15 giorni tra luglio e agosto. Viaggio di famiglia con amici. Siamo stati nella zona di Dar e Bagamoyo, poi abbiamo attraversato la Tanzania in autobus ( molto confortevole) per arrivare alle falde del Kilimangiaro, poi safari a Tarangire e Ngorongoro e infine vita di mare e natura meravigliosa a Zanzibar. Il tutto organizzato benissimo da Chrispin della Kushiland Tours, agenzia di viaggio locale efficiente e professionale, da consigliare assolutamente per ogni tipo di viaggio in Tanzania ( anche ascensioni sul Kilimangiaro!!)

I retained Kushiland Tours for a private trip up Kilimanjaro in January 2019 with my son and highly recommend them. There are many competing companies. But Kushiland is locally owned, professionally run, dependable and focused on their clients’ success as well as their wellbeing. The guides were so knowledgeable, the porters hard working, the cooks great at fabulous meals.

We had a wonderful adventure with Chrispin's team. Our trip was back in 2013 and it was one I'll never forget. They were organized and welcoming. They worked with all different levels to make sure everyone was comfortable and able to trek together safely. They went above and beyond during our rain season and were able to help us even have roofs over our heads that were not expected a night or two of our journey up Kilimanjaro! The whole crew was enjoyable to be around and full of good information. I would definitely use them again when I climb the back glacier side for a larger challenge =). Nothing but kudos.

My partner Greg and I climbed Kilimanjaro with Kushiland Tours in October 2018. The planning began a year in advance with frequent back-and-forth emails to refine our itinerary so that it would coincide with other plans that we had made for after the climb and to ensure that we had all the information we needed beforehand to get prepared. We were able to wire money ahead of time to cover tips for the guides and porters so that we wouldn't have to carry large quantities of cash. Chrispin met us at the airport and got us settled in our hotel, where we met with our guides and went over all the gear we had brought to make sure we weren't missing anything important. We were given an extremely detailed itinerary beforehand so we would know exactly what to expect on each day of the climb. Our two guides were beyond exceptional. They knew everything about the flora and fauna of Kilimanjaro as well as political, cultural and historical information about the area. I was interested in learning Swahili, and they were glad to practice with me and teach me new words and phrases. Every evening they reviewed the next day's hike and checked our blood oxygen levels to ensure that we were in good enough shape to keep climbing. By the time we reached camp each afternoon, our tent would be set up, and one of the porters would being us hot water to wash off with. Food was delicious and plentiful. The last push to the summit at midnight was particularly arduous, seven hours with freezing temperatures in a sleet storm. Our guides, one in front and one in back, urged us on, made sure we drank enough water and didn't push ourselves too hard, and helped us make it to the top. On the way back down, which was arduous in a different way, they were right there to make sure we didn't slip as we descended in loose scree. When we got back to the hotel, Chrispin showed up with dollars we had sent converted into Tanzanian currency and gave the porters their tips. The next day, he personally drove us to Arusha to meet up with our next group. I cannot recommend Kushiland Tours enough. The attention to detail and professionalism is exemplary. If i return to Tanzania, I will definitely use them to plan my next tour.

There is only one way to climb Kilimanjaro and that is with Kushiland Tours. Their attention to detail, safety and focus on us as climbers was meticulous - they made the success of this climb a certainty, looking after us all the way. Possibly the best experience of my life :)

We had a fantastic experience with Chrispin and his team. They were attentive and caring and made sure we had the best experience climbing Kilimanjaro. They also did a wonderful job of booking our hotels before and after the climb. They were slightly more expensive than some of the other operators and the reason was clear and apparent - they pay their porters well and equip them properly. Beware of cheap operators they skimp on porter salaries and safety if something goes wrong. Looking forward to a third climb up Kili in future!

Chrispin has a very high level of personal integrity, work ethic, and competence, and that is reflected in Kushiland's customer service and day-to-day operations.
From my initial planning phase one year prior to the trip all the way through our reluctant departure from the country, Chrispin and his team went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience during our adventures in Tanzania. He is a positive and effective leader and manager and that shined through in his team's flawless commitment to our happiness and health on the mountain.
My son and I are so grateful that we chose Chrispin's team for our Kilimanjaro hike and other local trips (Arusha National Park, Massai Tribal Village, Hot Springs, Lake Chala) and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives.
