I reached out to Gokhan for a solo shoot in Rome focused on body and form and am so glad that I did. He made me feel immediately comfortable, had incredible attention to detail, was fun, and easy to work with. He has such a sharp eye and was so creative throughout. My friend Ekin and I wanted to capture the end of our Via Francigena pilgrimage and the friendship that carried us through the journey, and Gökhan did an amazing job. As agreed, he and his assistant Aslı were waiting for us during the last kilometers before reaching the Vatican. Communication was easy from the beginning, and the whole process felt effortless.

After days of walking, we were tired and definitely not looking our best, but somehow Gökhan still managed to create incredible photos. What I loved most was how natural everything felt—we almost forgot we were being photographed. We had so much fun during the shoot that it felt more like meeting friends in Rome than a professional photoshoot. The photos are beautiful and will always remind us of this special journey.

Looking back, I honestly can’t imagine a better person to capture this moment for us. Choosing Gökhan was one of the best decisions we made for this trip, and we’re so grateful to have these memories preserved so beautifully.

We had an absolutely wonderful couple‘s shooting with Gökhan. We both don‘t love having our picture taken, but Gökhan made us feel so at ease, so that we ended up having a great time. It really just felt like spending an afternoon with a friend and the photos turned out beautifully :)

From the very first message to the end of the photoshoot, Gökhan was incredibly helpful and professional. You can immediately tell how passionate he is about photography. He really listens to what you want and is always open to communication, whether it’s about outfits, locations, or the overall style of the shoot.

He was also like a wonderful tour guide during the session. I mentioned that I love Audrey Hepburn, and he even changed the location to create the perfect Roman Holiday atmosphere for us. His eye for light and shadow is amazing, which you can clearly see from his Instagram and of course in the final photos.

Many beautiful shots were taken naturally while we wandered around Rome, ate Gelato and the whole experience felt relaxed, fun, and memorable. We are so happy we found him for our pre-wedding photoshoot in Rome.

Gökhan was our dream wedding photographer in Rome! We were looking for someone who understood our vision, was open to going in an unconventional direction, and just took beautiful, artistic photographs. My husband and I did a small and intimate vow exchange at home, with our closest friends and family. No photographer, just captured moments from everyone there but I knew I wanted our honeymoon in Italy to be captured with professional intention. I saw one of Gokhan's images on Pinterest, months before and immediately fell in love so I went looking for the person who captured that Image. I have no regrets in choosing Gokhan over the many wedding photographers in Italy, because he's so much more than a wedding photographer.

We met at a coffee shop on a quiet Monday morning in Florence where time didn't feel pressured or rushed to get the perfect shot. Gokhan knew exactly what story he wanted to capture and how to get it, calmly stopping us where the light was just right. The city unfolded around us as we walked to the next location while strangers wished us well. At one point we even had a crowd gathered around, cheering us on with genuine joy.

On that trip I also started reading Gokhan's third book, Slow Travel. He is a master at his craft, able to tell a beautiful and raw story with his words and his images. Nothing about his style is slow and boring, but with every bit of ease, intention and magic! Kyle and I are in awe with the images we received of that day, seeing for the first time why we would stop and the frame Gokhan saw before he even captured it, is remarkable!

Me and my boyfriend had been following Mr. Gokhan and his arts for some time without each other's knowledge and we dreamed same dream without other's knowledge; to have Mr. Gokhan take our wedding photos. For this dream, we went to Rome from Istanbul.

You're out and about in Rome, and your friend's taking pictures of you—and they're actually pretty darn good, like a movie scene.

Me and my husband had an amazing couple photoshoot experience with Gökhan. I contacted him for a pre-wedding photoshoot in Bologna (was a surprise gift for my husband), a city that none of us knew much. On the photoshoot day, Gökhan welcomed us in a nice bar to know us a bit more and break the ice, and then took us to some beautiful spots around the city to take memorable photos. We really appreciate the research he made before meeting us to make sure to catch the best photographic spots in Bologna!

It’s been a great experience for us, especially because - since we are quite introverted - we were a bit worried about being at the centre of attention. Gökhan made us feel relaxed and comfortable after a nice chat (with a glass of wine ;) ) and some initial photos…we ended up having so much fun! And didn’t care anymore about the crowd around us, not even with the most challenging poses and dances 🤪

Our family photography session in Rome was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we met, Gokhan created a relaxed atmosphere and was so familiar for us. What impressed us most was how skillfully he made our son participate and enjoy the shoot.

Some things become much more special when they happen at the right time, in the right place, and with the right people. That’s exactly how it was in our story. Two years ago, we couldn’t have the photoshoot we wanted in Europe because of the weather conditions on the shooting day. But as we said, sometimes things not happening can actually pave the way for something even better.

Two years later, when we finally had the chance to travel abroad again, our very first thought was: we must do the postponed shoot. And that’s exactly when our paths crossed with Gökhan. Since we had been following his work and admiring his photos, we knew we had to be one of the couples captured through his lens.

Our journey began with the very first hello email we wrote with excitement and enthusiasm, and Gökhan’s reply that carried the very same energy and passion. One of the things that impressed us most was that Gökhan asked us to write a short summary about ourselves before the shoot, so he could get to know us better. Even before meeting, he wanted to build a connection and plan how to frame us in his lens.

On the other hand, as a couple, we have always been fascinated by the mystery of the analog world—its tones, its colors, and that warm feeling it evokes. When this was combined with Gökhan’s talent in analog photography, the result was these perfect shots.

The joy we felt during the shoot, the way we let ourselves enjoy the moment without thinking about anything else, and Gökhan’s wonderful conversation made everything even more delightful. What we brought home from Rome was not just these beautiful photos, but also the memory of meeting someone who became a true friend.
