Terrible, stressful, and exhausting experience
I am sharing my experience with Younes Arabab of Labboho, a Moroccan homewares supplier, to hopefully prevent others from being misled. I paid a substantial deposit in mid-September, with Younes promising my goods would be ready when I traveled to Agadir. When I arrived in early October, most of my order was missing, yet he asked me to pay another substantial deposit, assuring me the remaining items would be completed and shipped.
Younes is well-spoken and initially appears to be credible, but his conduct was disorganized, unprofessional, and his promises were not kept. After returning to Canada, I was repeatedly told that product photographs and shipment details would be forthcoming, but Younes later stopped communicating entirely.
It took me returning to Morocco at the end of November and involving local authorities for Younes to take any action, and even then there were continued delays. Ultimately, only about half of my original order was available. When my shipment did arrive (two days before Christmas), three rugs were missing and there were several defective items. As partial resolution for my significant out-of-pocket expenses caused by his failings, Younes paid for the shipping — but he still owes me over $2,000 for the 3 missing rugs and for the deposit I paid in excess of the value of the goods delivered. Younes has again stopped all communication.
I have spent countless hours and energy trying to recover what is rightfully mine. This was a business order and his failures not only affected me but also my customers. I cannot recommend working with Younes or Labboho under any circumstances.
