I contacted Lanes for Drains to have a Highway sewer jetted and CCTV surveyed, I made contact via email and had a call back the same day, once we had discussed the requirements, Lanes were on site the next day and gave me a report the same week, this was a perfectly smooth service and I received exactly what I needed, I would definitely recommend Lanes for Drains.

I recently had a blocked pipe in the bathroom. Lanes for Drains attended organised by my insurance company. 1st visit was not successful but a follow up the next day was followed by the team in Broxburn at short notice as I had taken the day off to get the job done. Great, courteous and cheery staff I’d definitely recommend!! Thanks very much

Lanes Drains are very efficient and they came when they said they would. They got on with the work and it would appear to be a good job and hopefully the drains are now cleared of tree roots and a manhole fitted. Dave Barton and Mark from the Manchester depot finished the job and were very pleasant and hard working as were the other men who worked on the job over the three days.

Not a good experience. Now had three visits to try & unblock a drain from a cleaners sink. Communication between the the visits was extremely poor. Communication from the guys coming to site was not good. The last visit left the cleaners sink area in a poor state & did not clean this area before leaving. The sink is still blocked & you are stating that a camera is required, of which has already been used. I am not satisfied with this service :(

Have a blocked drain gully. Called Thames Water as I have shared drains. Lanes were sent out on behalf of Thames. Came 24 hours after my first contact on behalf Thames. Issue identified as my problem as the blockage was in my private drain. Told to contact my insurance. I did.

Insurance informed me that a contractor will be sent within 6 hours. Lanes called to say they had been contracted by the insurance company. They can’t come out for another 48 hours as they are very busy! Ironically they were here 30 mins beforehand under the guise of Thames Water.

I called back my insurance company who apologised and stated the time delay from Lanes was not acceptable.

Metro Rod were assigned the Job instead and came out within 4 hours. I have a feeling that Lanes have gotten too big to provide a quick service and simply do not care about the end customer.

If you are assigned Lanes by your insurance company may I suggest that you refuse and ask for an alternative contractor instead if you want a quick service.

Dave Barton and Mark came over after we were without a working toilet for 4 days. They cleared it quickly, (after 2 other companies couldn’t), they were friendly, professional and really helpful. Thank you!
