Large Print London Avis 

I had a very disappointing experience with this company.

I paid over £300 for a premium, fast-turnaround printing service for an image-heavy book, expecting the high-quality printing and quick delivery advertised on their website.

Unfortunately, the books I received were well below an acceptable standard. The corners were damaged, the pages had not been cut square, and the print colours appeared faded in some pages. I understand that minor imperfections can occasionally happen, especially with a tight deadline, but the overall quality was far below what I had paid for. Please see thephotographs.

As soon as I inspected the order, I emailed the company asking them to put the issue right by reprinting the books, or at the very least replacing the copy I urgently needed. That email failed to send because of the Fasthosts email outage, although I wasn't notified until later that evening when I received a bounce-back message. As soon as I became aware of this, I resent the email from my Hotmail account and telephoned the company first thing the following morning. I have evidence of the failed email and the server outage.

Rather than trying to resolve the problem, the person I spoke to was very rude and abrupt. He simply said, "If you're not happy, send it back." When I asked whether they would be willing to help, he replied, "No," and hung up.

I then sent another email asking for the return address so I could send the books back, but I received no response. When I called again, I was told to put everything in writing, which I explained I had already done, and was also asked to send a WhatsApp or text message. I did so, but again received no reply.

When I phoned again, the person I spoke to repeatedly interrupted me, shouted over me, and would not allow me to explain the issue. He kept telling me that I didn't appreciate their hard work and repeatedly said, "Send an email," whenever I tried to speak, before hanging up again.

To date, I still do not have a usable product, I have received no meaningful customer support, and despite requesting it several times—including immediately after I was notified that the order had been dispatched—I have still not been provided with a VAT invoice.

If a company accepts an order, it should be able to produce work to a professional standard and deal with genuine quality concerns respectfully. In my opinion, these books should never have left the factory in the condition they arrived.

As I paid by BACS, I have very little protection as a consumer. The company has my money, I have an unusable product, and I still have no VAT invoice despite repeated requests. Given the lack of communication and refusal to resolve the issue, I genuinely feel let down by the entire experience.

Based on both the poor product quality and the way my complaint was handled, I cannot recommend this company. I have retained evidence of the defects, my correspondence, and my attempts to resolve the matter, and I will also be reporting the issue to Trading Standards.

UPDATE: They have gone back to me last Saturday and have asked for the books to be sent back for the quality team to check them to see if I am entitled to a refund, which I will do. No mentioned to the abusive behaviour over the phone, the fact I could not pay with a card or the invoice I have requested.
