Everything went without a hitch
Everything went without a hitch. We had a lovely time in Cuba and would recommend it others. We always felt that we were taken care of and our guide Leidy was always easy to contact through Whatsapp. We also had the travel agencys phone number but didn’t have to use it.
We always felt welcome in all the places we stayed at. We met our guide Leidy in the first morning and she explained everything about the trip. Including traveling to the other destinations in Cuba, where and when we would meet our local guides and what to expect. She also contacted us a couple of times just to check that everything is alright. I also want to thank our local guides in Havana, Viñales and Trinidad. They showed us many things we would never have found ourselves, told us the history of Cuba and about general life there. We also got tips about where to eat and where not to.
Everything was well organized and we always felt safe and taken care of.

Unsere Reise nach Kuba im Januar 2026 war in jeder Hinsicht ein voller Erfolg. Von der Vorbereitung über die Durchführung bis zum Rückflug verlief alles reibungslos und bestens organisiert.
Bereits am Ankunftstag in Havanna wurde das gesamte Reiseprogramm mit Leidy im Detail mit uns durchgesprochen, alle Gutscheine übergeben und eine 24-Stunden-Notfallnummer bereitgestellt – die wir glücklicherweise nie benötigten.
Das Wetter während der gesamten Reise war ideal: durchgehend 25–28 Grad, sonnig und trocken – nur an einem einzigen Tag fiel leichter Regen.
Die Reiseroute führte uns durch viele der eindrucksvollsten Regionen Kubas:
Von Havanna über Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba bis nach Holguín – jede Station hatte ihren ganz eigenen Charakter. Den Abschluss bildeten erholsame Tage am Meer in Cayo Coco – ein idealer Ausklang der Reise.
Ein besonderes Highlight war der Besuch von vier UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätten:
die Altstadt von Havanna, Trinidad mit dem Valle de los Ingenios, Camagüey sowie das historische Zentrum von Cienfuegos.
Die Transfers zwischen den Städten wurden per Taxi durchgeführt – komfortabel, pünktlich und mit freundlichen Fahrern.
Alle lokalen Reiseleiterinnen und Reiseleiter überzeugten mit Fachwissen, Freundlichkeit und sehr guter Betreuung. Sie haben mit spürbarer Leidenschaft ihr Land vorgestellt.
Kuba hat uns kulturell und menschlich tief beeindruckt. Es war großartig, die reiche Kultur, die allgegenwärtige Musik und die Herzlichkeit der Menschen hautnah zu erleben.
Besonders bewegt hat uns, mit welchem Lebensmut und Optimismus die Menschen dem Alltag begegnen, trotz der spürbaren Herausforderungen im Land – wie etwa eingeschränkter Verfügbarkeit von Lebensmitteln, Hygieneartikeln oder Medikamenten. Dieser respektvolle Umgang mit schwierigen Rahmenbedingungen und die offene, warme Art der Bevölkerung hinterließen bei uns bleibenden Eindruck.
Die Auswahl der Unterkünfte war hervorragend – gepflegt, authentisch, meist in sehr guter Lage und mit viel Liebe zum Detail.
Ebenso überzeugte die Balance zwischen strukturiertem Programm und freier Zeit, die uns ermöglichte, eigene Entdeckungen zu machen.
Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis dieser individuell gestalteten Reise war für uns absolut stimmig.
Unser Fazit:
Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen WeDesignTrips (Planung) und Latin America Travel (Durchführung vor Ort) war ausgezeichnet.
Wer Kuba abseits klassischer Gruppenreisen intensiv und komfortabel erleben möchte, ist bei diesen Partnern in besten Händen.
Eine Reise, die uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.

Cuba! Just a short flight from Mexico!
Cuba was an amazing destination. Occasionally challenging, but always so interesting. A short trip but included so much in 9 days. With the exception of the first hotel in Havana and a a few disappointing meals (in government restaurants) accommodation and included meals and experiences were generally excellent! Beautiful Havana and stunning Vinales were highlights of a memorable experience.

Kubareise
Wir haben uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Alles war bestens organisiert inkl. Tips wie Wechsel in Pesos oder Restaurantbesuche.
Wir hatten meist das Transportmittel und den Guide für uns allein - purer Luxus. Es wurde komplett auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten.

Tourcompass and Latin American Travel
Our trip to Cuba was organized by Tourcompass in collaboration with Latin America Travel based in Havana. From the moment of booking the trip to the end we had a very pleasant experience. Tourcompass was very helpful and their mobile App gives all the details about the trip from flight to itinerary. They also helped us in obtaining Cuban visas. In Cuba we were greeted by Leidy, (her name) from LAT who had all details about us. All planned excursions and transports between towns were on time with very courteous drivers. We enjoyed our stay in Cuba. I am a photographer and had plenty of opportunities to photograph people and places.
I would certainly go again with LTA
