A lovely shop
A lovely shop, Clean and bright.The lenses are beautifully arranged for perusing.

Seriously let down by a Locum
I was seen by a Locum optician and it was quite frankly the most uncomfortable and unprofessional medical appointment I've ever had. I understand that as a locum systems might be unfamiliar, but there was absolutely no need for his unprofessional and quite frankly rude behaviour during the consultation. The frames were literally shoved on my face without warning when I asked him to explain the numbers between my old prescription and new. He had a moment during the examination where he lost his temper because he thought he'd lost other patients notes and also had 4 other patients notes open on the screen whilst I was there with their details clearly visible. I offered to step outside the consultanting room on 3 occasions whilst he got some help for his IT problems, composed himself and calmed down a bit, but was told no and stay there. Whilst I get this might not be the experience you would normally get at Leighton's in Southampton, this was mine and it will ensure I never step foot in any of their Optical centres again.

What an exceptional and pleasant…
What an exceptional and pleasant experience my visit was to the Southampton store to have my glasses looked at . The staff were superb and caring and I would recommend them to anyone seeking glasses or eye care, not only did I get the glasses sorted but it was done almost immediately.

I had mixed experiences with Leightons…
I had mixed experiences with Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care in Southampton. On one hand, the service and staff, including the audiologists and opticians, were professional and polite. My hearing aids and contact lenses have been well-fitted and comfortable, and the advice given throughout felt thorough and thoughtful. However, not everything felt perfect, as problems with glasses required follow-up visits to resolve. Overall, good customer care but a few minor hiccups along the way. A solid 3-star experience.

A warm welcome
