Multiple times they have sent me broken…
Multiple times they have sent me broken used gear while rating it as acceptable. They do not have proper quality assurance and at this point should not be relied upon for anything that you may actually want to use in a professional setting. I simply cannot have gear that is just bought from them go down on set. Their unprofessional nature should not be a reflection on me. Shame on me I guess. Very frustrating and annoying to have to return used products when they could just be up front about the condition of the item. I will not use them ever again and I’d advise industry professionals to do the same. It’s one thing if I break something but broken straight from the box is absurd.
A company that cares about you
What could have turned into a complete disaster became the reason I trust LensRentals more, because their team stepped in quickly and took responsibility when it mattered.
My large rental order was not delivered on time as a fedex driver didnt knock on my door and just left a notice saying they missed me, it was captured on camera, not having it arrive on time caused real stress, lost preparation time, and financial loss before a professional job. Because the gear arrived late, I did not have the proper time I normally need to inspect everything, test it, organize it, and prepare calmly.
That said, LensRentals’ team took the situation seriously. They jumped in, the same day, took responsibility for the loss, and overnighted what was needed so I did not miss the entire rehearsal day. That mattered a lot.
Even though the delay created real problems for me, the way their team responded built trust. They put the customer first in the best way they could under the circumstances, and took care of what was needed to cover what i lost financially and because of that, I would feel comfortable using them again.

I was looking for a DJI Avata drone
I was looking for a DJI Avata drone, and used was acceptable, if it came with all the parts (battery, props and was unbound) for a reasonable price. Going blind to a website, I have seen a number of well done scam sites, but after evaluating Lens Rentals website, because they offered rentals and used items, I decided to take a chance. The drone was competitively priced, included spare props, and a battery, I was shocked when it arrived, WELL packaged, quickly, in the original RETAIL box, with the accessories package (screws, allen wrench, a L and R prop, charge cradle, cable and original charger, missing only the user manual. I already had DJI FPV Goggles V2 and an original Motion Controller, so I specifically said, 'if this is 'unbound', do not ship it'; I never heard anything, back, so when it arrived quickly, I set about to bind it to the Goggles, which it showed bound, but gave me the option to 'unbind' (from the previous owner', which it did, bound immediately to the Goggles, and then the Controller, so I was able to immediately go out and teach myself to fly it successfully. I want to say I am VERY happy with Len's Rentals and will certainly go there for future drone and photography needs. 20 Stars. You can rest assured these guys are a quality operation. I've used Lens Rentals for over 3 years and they have treated me like family. I have actually never rented from them, but I've purchased everything from cinema cameras to cheap SD cards. I do need to call attention to why people do not agree with their grading. They only have 4 tiers, and I've purchased items that are "working" but look absolutely terrible. Reach out to them if you have issues they've gone above and beyond for me for my own mistakes when I contacted them. When I'm in need of professional used gear I always go to Lens Rentals first.

I've seen mostly good reviews about this company, and they have some really competitive pricing. However, if you're a first-time buyer, forget it!
They wait 30 minutes after an order is placed, then ask you for the most random information, like a website. Then they come back an hour later and say my information is fake, and they want a $4,000 deposit!!!
I mean, at that point, you may as well just buy the camera outright, brand new! Also, if you're renting a camera, it's obvious you won't have the money to pay that deposit. What a scam this company is. I definitely will not be working with them.

I’m absolutely pissed save your self mental energy this company IS TERRIBLE. I’m in deep regret now because I just purchased a used camera from them a few days prior now I’m afraid something is wrong with it because of how terrible there quality control is.
Excellent experience
I purchased a used piece of equipment for recording(Cloudlifter Z). Product came very well packaged and worked excellent!
Also customer service was great! Very friendly, and patient. I needed to fix my address after package was shipped(my fault). They made sure to reach out to UPS in a timely manner, and kept me updated throughout.
Unmatched
Lensrentals always provides unmatched customer service. Their team is uber-efficient, kind and committed, and knowledgeable in all assets. I’ve used them since High School, will always use them, and will always recommend them to everyone. They’re truly unmatched.
Horrible
Hi, here in 2026 trying to do 1st time business with this company by renting and giving them a shot, but unfortunately they declined my request. 1 camera, apparently there fake verification process couldn't verify me. Then when I called to verify, they still couldn't verify me with submitted information. What a joke.
All around great experience
Excellent support. I have rented and purchased equipment from Lens Rental and everything was in better shape than listed. Their phone support and email support are amazing. Fast response for emails and someone always answers the phone.
Charged for a cable that was never in the kit
I rented a gimbal, it didn’t have the cord I needed to connect the accessories to my camera (no problem I bought one of my own). However they ended up charging me $20 for some cable they said was in the kit that I didn’t send back which is absolute nonsense because I meticulously kept track of everything that was in that case for that specific reason, that I didn’t want to get charged for something. Go with another rental company!
Disappointed After Past Good Experience
I’ve had solid experiences with Lensrentals in the past, but this latest one was a letdown.
I ordered a flash with a one-day buffer before my shoot—still arrived late. Frustrating, but I decided to keep the flash and went through their “keeper” purchase process. Got the quote, paid it, tossed the return box, and moved on.
Weeks later, I get an email saying I’m being charged $75 for not returning the generic hard case (Pelican-style). That case was never mentioned as part of the keeper quote. No warning, no heads-up—just a surprise charge.
I reached out and offered to return the case if they sent me a box. Instead, I got a response from Kelsey in customer service citing the rental contract and threatening additional charges. I said I’d be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge. Thankfully, another rep stepped in and agreed to remove the fee while waiting for the case return.
Bottom line: if you’re buying gear through their keeper program, be warned—the case isn’t included, and they won’t tell you upfront. It’s a hidden charge that feels like a trap. If you’re just renting, this won’t affect you. But if you plan to buy, make sure you clarify what’s actually yours.
Disappointed to see this kind of shady practice from a company I used to trust. Do better, Lensrentals.
They are so invasive -- they demand an…
They are so invasive -- they demand an explanation for your address (did you move recently, is this where you're working), information about unrelated work and business accounts, all of your social media, everything. It's like they're an invasive data broker not a rental company. There are better alternatives out there.
They ask for your work information
They ask for your work information, where you work and your title, work phone number etc. Isn't ID sufficient and you want to contact our workplace for a personal rental? They ask for social media and other info as well. It's getting a little personal and uncomfortable, especially I received several calls after filling out their online forms and entered card information--everything should be settled at that point. The fact that they called so many times is annoy.
From a Professional Wedding Photographer Who Uses LensRentals Almost Every Week
As a professional wedding photographer, I've used LensRentals as my main source to rent lenses and cameras on a regular basis. I've never once had a negative experience with them—on the contrary, they've always been extremely efficient, the equipment has always been delivered in terrific conditions, and on occasions in which I had to make any changes to an order, their customer service has always been perhaps the most prompt and friendly I have ever communicated with. I can't recommend this company and their services enough!

I’ve used Lensrentals multiple times and it’s always an easy experience. Their equipment is always in great condition, but what truly sets them apart is their customer support.
My package is currently lost in transit a day before an important photoshoot. I have been STRESSING OUT all day and their team immediately stepped in and offered to ship a replacement overnight so I wouldn't miss the shoot. Jose and Jay were incredibly helpful and kind! It’s rare to find a company that cares this much to keep their customers happy!!
I can’t recommend them enough. This type of support is exactly why I’ll keep coming back!! Thank you so much again. Really appreciate it.
Sometimes it's better to rent than to buy something to find out later you don't need it!
I've rented multiple time from this company and I have never had any issues with them. The equipment is in working order, customer service is always easy to reach and mailing has never been an issue at all. I plan on using them especially if I want to try out a piece of gear that I am not sure if I want or need. I just rented the Sony 300mm F 2.8 G lens and man I just wanted to use it not want to go out and buy one now. I wish I had the money for one of them because I would.

They overcharge for items and don't offer good customer service. They will pretend like they do though
