Since 2014, we at Leon Cycle have been selling electric bicycles from our Headquarters in Hanover, Germany. Under the brands "Leisger" and "NCM," we offer e-bikes for everyone in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the USA. Starting in the E-Commerce Business, we established a vast service network with local bicycle shops and opened our brand stores in 2019. We offer a wide range of different models, in different sizes and colors, from the categories of e-mountain bikes, e-trekking, e-city bikes, and e-folding bikes. Our models are named after European cities. NCM bikes are enjoying tremendous growth in popularity, partly due to our e-bike batteries' outstanding range, which is up to 150 kilometers, far above the average. In addition to the battery, other components distinguish the e-bike from a standard bicycle, above all the electric motor.

I bought a NCM Venice plus bike 4 years…

I bought a NCM Venice plus bike nearly 4 years ago and had absolutely no problems with it so i gave it my son and treated myself to the NCM M7 bike a month ago and both times i've been more than impressed by what i've recieved for my money...

I was due to have an interview and they didn’t bother showing up

I was due to have an interview. The interviewer was a no show. If this is how they treat potential employees I wouldn’t like to find out how they treat customers.

I waited patiently. Maybe they were held up in a meeting? I’ve had similar situations myself although, as the interviewer, I would drop the candidate a message to let them know. Never mind- benefit of the doubt and all that.

Then I get a LinkedIn message asking if I’m joining. Yes, I am. I’m waiting to be admitted to the meeting. The panic- is it me? No, I’m definitely in the right meeting. I let them know that I’ll leave and try joining again. I do. No response. I let them know that I’ll try a different device. I do. I message them saying I’m waiting again… silence.

After 20 minutes I received an automated ‘meeting cancelled’ email from Teams. I emailed, I messaged on LinkedIn again… ghosted.

AVOID AT ALL COST! SERIOUSLY AVOID!

I really wish I had spent some time reading the reviews here, but I thought nah its a legitimate company selling ebikes I will be fine. One of the gravest mistakes of my life. This bike has caused me nothing but sadness. Its come apart twice where I've fallen off twice injuring myself severely, both pedals have fallen off while riding. I swear I had to pay a bike mechanic down my road to fix the left one today (BECAUSE WHILE I HAVE WARRANTY, LEON CYCLE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS! PLEASE BELIEVE THE REVIEWS, YOU WILL NEVER GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM) As I rode back from getting it fixed, guess what the right one also fell off! The controls and steering is weak as anything, and I've been close to falling off (very experienced bike rider over many years and motorcycle owner) many times. IT IS NOW 7 MONTHS SINCE MY LAST EMAIL ASKING THEM TO RESPOND AND I HAVE NOTHING FROM THEM. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T WARNED!

If you buy from this company and you…

If you buy from this company and you have a problem with your bike don't expect any help from them. They don't answer emails or the phone number on their contract us website. Very poor after sales service.

If I could give this company a minus…

If I could give this company a minus star I would! I have never had such bad service, they need to smarten up their service! I bought 2 electric folding bikes, one didn’t work….i was just ignored, no response by email, can’t get anyone on the phone, eventually I had a message to ask if I could send an email of it not working. I did that…no response, eventually after several emails I had a message back saying that someone would come to collect between 9-5. I waited in all day….no one turned up. I got a message saying that DPD would pick it up on the 4 December in between 9-5, they did…. And guess what, no one knows where it is! Do not deal with this company….absolutely abysmal customer service!

I placed an order

I placed an order, but there is no progress regarding the order, I sent an email, I tried the communication methods, you cannot get a response, it seems like a fraudulent company, probably, I don't know what other way I should try, I think it is necessary to complain about this company to Citizen Advise Bureau.

I bought a NCM Venice bike

I bought a NCM Venice bike in March 2023,the bike was great except some problems with the bolt of the handle stem. The bolt that holds the handle bars into the stem is of poor quality. I did not use the bike much, once a month et al. Then my electrics went, the battery is dead and will not charge. So though the battery is not working I still do not know if the rest of the electronics are dead. Leon Cycles has no phone number, no chat on their website, they are still hiding behind corvid epidemic restrictions.

What is worst is you cannot send a lithium battery by normal post so Leon has to advise and do it, as battery is dangerous esp. if faulty. I have sent emails and NO reply. They say you have to send a video to show the problems or they will not honour the warranty. The warranty list is massive and there are lots of ifs and buts on it, so that is a bad sign. It appears they will use that to get out of their obligations. I sent the video twice still no answer. I will have to talk to my bank to see what they can do with a charge back as the bike cost £1000, a lot of money. Again if they continue to ignore my emails I will have to complain to the local office of trading standards. If no joy from there I will have to go to court.

Also there is a design flaw in the battery. So what does this mean? At the bottom of the battery there is a charging port and that is covered by a flimsy rubber button. It is not enough to keep any water or any other moisture or dirt out, as the charging port is near the chain wheel and pedals. Dirt, oil or water can seep into the charging port and into the inside of the battery causing damage to the internals. It does not need a large amount of dirt, oil, moisture/water do this as the rubber button/cover is not adequate for the for the job. It is very flimsy and not of good quality. So if you buy this bike there is big danger the electronics can die on you even if you ride on a dry track with minor puddles or tracks with lots of loose dust or a bit of mud, roads that are slightly wet or it rains lightly. This is also true of dirt, that can get into the charging port and do some damage. This is despite Leon cycle saying its a trekking bike and it can be used in rain or for trekking with all the issue it can have on the bike. I have never used the bike in rain or gone trekking.

I would avoid this company as they are seem very poor at helping you if you have problems. As for contacting Leon the emails given by them below only one seems to work, the first one is the only email that is working. The other one is dead also there is indeed a Facebook page but no one from Leon Cycles is answering, the last post was from mid 2022. Many people on their Facebook page is not getting any replies to their messages or support.

Update, I have still had no reply to my emails/messages by Leon. I looked at there website again much more closely for the UK, there no UK address or UK telephone number. The number they did list on the their UK website is based in France. Why give a French number for a UK site? This is extremely worrying. I can only concluded this is company is a scam in my view.

Update:
Leon UK told me to open the battery, and replace the fuses. Leon UK will not say if I open the battery the warranty is voided. It does say on their website a customer should not open the battery. So asking me to so is daft and dangerous. Leon UK also refused to tell me what amp the fuses are and what type of fused should use. Also Leon told me to take the battery to a local shop if I do not want to open the battery and refuse to honour the warranty. Madness. I did eventually do as Leon asked and replaced the fuses - battery still dead. There is a red light on the battery Motherboard or battery management system, so that is a fault. Leon agreed the battery is faulty but said they have no batteries to replace it. It means they are refusing to do so. I would do a charge back via your bank, also report them to your local office of trading standards, also take them to court. Leon cycles UK is now ignoring me again.

There is an UK address for Leon cycles but its a sham one. There is no UK company listed on the UK Government website. Check it yourself. I would report Leon cycles to action fraud website - its a police website.

I have been in touch with Leon cycles Australia and they told me a lot ebikes belonging to Leon have been ceased by the French as something to with fraud or wrong regulations or safety. They said it was
also due to a trade war between Australia and the EU. If so why did not they not prepare for that and it does not affect the UK as they are not in the EU. Leon company was boss arrested and released. 26 million euro fraud et al. Leon cycles UK was forced to closed down by the UK government in June 2023

I got an NCM MOSCOW

I got an NCM MOSCOW early last year I've never had any issues with it so much so that 2 of my friends bought the beach cruiser delivery was within 3 days of purchase for theirs and mine took 7 days due to a bank holiday I have done over 350km on it and have had no parts break I can't comment on customer service as not needed it my local bike shop said for the £800 I paid the build quality is better than a lot he's seen in same price range I love the bike

Honestly shocking

Honestly shocking. Do not buy from these guys. I was riding along and the bolt holding the saddle snapped clean off. I hurt myself pretty bad and was limping for a week. Sent them two emails. No reply. Tried to call the number (its a foreign number based in Brisbane???) No one picked up. What a waste of money.

BEWARE THIS IS NOT A UK COMPANY. Their customer service is appalling, had to wait weeks for a reply when I received an E Bike that was faulty. They even had the nerve to say that I hadn't put it together correctly and I should take it to a shop. The bikes headset does not fit correctly due to there being a lack of spacers and the press fit bearing was in three pieces when the bike arrived. I had to go through the credit card company with a Section 75 to get my money back. They don't even deserve one star, cheaply made faulty products from a Chinese based company. They have been dissolved in the UK Companies house website. Yet they still claim to be in the UK. Avoid at all costs. Complete scum company

Ho acquistato una MOSCOW sulla piattaforma AMAZON di cui all'epoca mi sono dichiarato pienamente soddisfatto sia per la qualità del prodotto acquistato sia per la solerzia del venditore nell'aiutarmi a risolvere un piccolo problema che si era presentato e questo fin quando questi "signori" erano presenti su Amazon.
Recentemente ho avuto un problema, suppongo a qualche componente elettronico, che non permette più al motore di attivarsi il che rende di fatto la e-bike una normale bicicletta muscolare.
Purtroppo non sono più presenti su Amazon per cui li ho contattati direttamente sulla loro email di supporto ( su cui in precedenza li avevo contattati) inviando molteplici messaggio di richiesta assistenza ma NON SI SONO NEMMENO DEGNATI di rispondermi.
Pensavo che i tedeschi fossero gente seria ma mi accorgo che non lo sono affatto (comunque, indagando un po' viene a galla che dietro ci sono i soliti spregiudicati cinesi).
Chiunque pensasse di acquistare da costoro faccia tesoro di questa mia negativa esperienza.per la qualità del prodotto acquistato sia per la solerzia del venditore nell'aiutarmi a risolvere un piccolo problema che si era presentato e questo fin quando questi "signori" erano presenti su Amazon.

Horrendous company

Horrendous company. Had nothing but problems with NCM Milano plus since I bought it. Customer service is virtually non-existent - no phone number and takes weeks to get a response by email, and even then they don’t do what you need. Avoid at all costs.

Bikes x2 arrived damaged tried to call and emailed three times with photos and information but never received a reply, absolutely appalling customer service from the company. I will never buy again as no customer service.
