I don’t understand why this skin care brand isn’t bigger! The products are amazing!! Such good quality - smell good and chemical free and so nourishing. Mike’s better than the bigger brands that charge so much more for products loaded with chemicals!
Wishing this company well.

I first discovered Líha Beauty on Dragons’ Den and was instantly drawn in. Although the brand’s Instagram often highlights products on Black skin, I loved the ethos, ingredients, and ritual-like approach to skincare, so I decided to try them for myself.
For context, I’m 51 with what you’d call typical English rose skin — pale, sensitive, and lately suffering from the joys of menopause: dryness, itchiness, and irritation galore.
The Orinrin Cleansing Balm immediately stood out. Unlike many balms that are almost solid, this one has a semi-melted texture that scoops easily from the jar. It feels beautifully rich and luxurious — very much high-end, even though the price sits in that mid-range sweet spot. Compared to the Elemis balm, I’d say this one needs a little more product per cleanse, and I’d happily love to see Líha offer a larger jar.
The texture is gorgeous; I’ve used smoother balms, but few that feel this effective. It melts makeup and grime effortlessly, and my skin feels properly cleansed but never tight. I love massaging it in and then showering it off — it leaves my skin smooth, nourished, and balanced.
Being a die-hard triple cleanse girl, I followed with the Ose Gidi Black Soap. This is only shown as used on the body and whilst I shall absolutely indulge, I did use this on my face. The scent is earthy, almost antiseptic, but don’t let that put you off as it is a pleasant smell — it is anything but harsh. I usually avoid soaps, but for the sake of a fair trial, I gave this one a go, and I’m genuinely impressed. It lathers softly and feels like massaging silk into the skin. There’s no dryness, no stripping — just clean, calm, almost toned skin and my inflamed neck area loves it. The relief it’s brought to my dry, itchy skin has been extraordinary.
Finally, the Shea Butters — I bought both the Ivory and the Gold. They’re solid and need warming in the hands, but once melted, they’re a dream. The Ivory has a slightly textured, almost exfoliating feel and has worked wonders on my upper arms; the crepiness has visibly improved after just a few days of use, morning and night. It’s also brilliant for elbows and knees.
But the Gold Shea Butter… this one has completely stolen my heart. I use it on my chest, shoulders, and face, and the overnight relief has been astonishing. Redness and irritation have reduced dramatically, and my skin has developed a glow I honestly can’t remember seeing in years.
Overall, these products may be celebrated for African and Nigerian skin types, but I can confidently say they’re for everyone. The formulas, textures, and results are universal — effective, nurturing, and indulgent. Líha has earned a permanent place on my repeat-buy list.
✨ Favourites: Orinrin Cleansing Balm & Gold Shea Butter
💰 Price Range: Mid-range feel, high-end results
💬 Skin Type: Mature, menopausal, dry and sensitive
🌸 Overall Verdict: 10/10 — nourishing, healing, and beautifully unique
I have been using Liha products for over a year now and they truly are exceptional. The Idan oil is stunning, luxurious and so versatile, whilst the candles have an incredible scent throw and are beautiful to look at. I have always experienced exceptional service from them too!
