Linguix Grammar Checker and Rewrite Tool Avis 42

I've had Linguix for approximately eighteen months. My first year wasn't too bad because I had support when I needed it. I've been experiencing the dreaded "offline" glitch for more than a month, and I deleted it after sending multiple emails without hearing back. I canceled the auto renewal a long time ago, but I'll keep an eye on it because I don't trust them anymore.
UPDATE: Well, Linguix is back online but still no customer service. They came back with a huge price increase and won't honor my premium account that I paid 40.00 for only 5 months ago. So, they stole my money.

Trash company. Their help desk does not reply to tickets. Their pop-up doesn't work on most sites, and their help site gives 500 errors. Just proof they won't be in business much longer. Obviously a cash grab until it stops working. Now I am getting an offline error when I am online.

Unable to reach customer service to cancel my subscription and they have no listed phone number. I will have to cancel my credit card.

I have been trying to contact someone from Linguix for months about my subscription. I have emailed support several times and have never received a reply. This is the only way I could think of to get response from someone there. The product itself is fine, but the customer service is lacking.

I originally reached out to Linguix after discovering that my lifetime plan had been unexpectedly marked as expired. I sent multiple emails over the course of two weeks, providing everything needed to verify my purchase—receipts, account info, and details on past upgrades.

While my account was eventually reactivated, there was never any direct reply or explanation from the support team. No confirmation, no acknowledgment—just silence, then the access quietly returned.

I’m relieved the issue was resolved, but the lack of communication is still disappointing. A simple confirmation would have gone a long way in building trust. If you run into a problem, just be prepared for support to be hit or miss—even for long-time customers.

The product itself is solid. The customer service? Still leaves a lot to be desired.

It has been functioning well overall; occasionally, it fails to load on pages, and I have to refresh to get it to show up, but I’m unsure why others are experiencing issues with it not correcting sentences. It has been working quite well for me.

Cannot spellcheck even basic words that as soon as I copy and paste into google it spells them straight away. Sometimes just two letters are around the wrong way and it doesn't get it.
What's the point of a spellcheck that can't spellcheck!
And it's surgested - (linguix spellcheck) = (suggested
from google!) sentences are nothing short of word salads, utter waffle just to look like it's doing something.
Oh, but it has other features. I'm sure it does, but if it can't spellcheck I'm sure they are just as pathertic (linguix spellcheck) pathetic = from google.

This app is not based on GPT4, but on GPT-3.0.

Be cautious: this is a scam; they will steal money from your account. I paid for an annual subscription at $66. After a few months, the extension began to glitch, producing strange output and freezing browser windows; consequently, I stopped using it.

Recently, however, they deducted $120 from my account for another year's subscription. It turned out they had linked my card and enabled recurring payments without clear consent. Furthermore, the payment doubled to $120 for an application that is non-functional, and which I haven't used in more than six months!

They refused to refund the money.

Beware of these fraudsters. I do not recommend this service.

It's very hard to find a great text expander that wouldn't cost you too much. Linguix is great. We have been using it for some time for grammar checking and they have added a text expander which is an additional bonus for us. Copy + Paste your default answers in emails work as expected.

This company is only interested in selling, profit and getting as much money out of you as possible. I cancelled in July, received a notification that my subscription had been cancelled on 22nd July and yet a further subscription was taken on August 7th.Don't waste your money. Managed to cancel myself using Paypal "Automatic Payments" settings.

Disappointment. tons of functionality errors while working on a word document. they say ''it is a beta version so it can happen''.

If you are an academician or a student, avoid Linguix. pay more money and go for grammarly. I just wasted 60 USD. and now buying grammarly again.

I could ramble on for hours about how bad this software is, but at the time of writing, it is just downright awful. Linguix loves to suggest ways to "simplify" your sentences, which don't shorten them, or make them more concise. "If I had more time I would have written you a shorter letter," as Churchill said. Linguix takes a different approach, and decides to completely change your sentence structure, adding repetition or switching things around so characters behave in unintended ways.

I've used Grammarly before, and it never made any suggestions such as these, nor did ProWritingAid, so this isn't an issue shared by all AI Powered writing assistants. Linguix seems to have been trained to rewrite, rather than revise or suggest, and it shows when you try introducing creative works to it. Just try adding well written, already published novels into it and enjoy some of the outrageous as idiotic suggestions this AI presents. A chapter of Harry Potter in Grammarly shows 0 errors and no suggestions to improve it, while Linguix has the audacity to suggest changes that would alter the narrative. It's beyond terrible! It absolutely wastes your time.

I just started using Linguix after Grammarly became so expensive. Linguix seems fine so far. My only gripe is that they don't seem to give you an option to set it to either UK or US English. I get fed up with words like colour or digitise being marked as errors. Also, I don't like the little score down on the right-hand side telling you what a 'dope' you are, solely for the above reason.

To be candid, a linguix grammar checker is teaching people how to improve and perfect their communication skills by making the right correction in grammar.

I'm an English Teacher and use Linguix as a handy tool to improve and sanity check my writing. It also came in super handy during the writing of my masters thesis!

I recently found linguix and installed rhe chrome extension. So far, it's been a seamless experience. It's helped me write better and easily edit my content... It's as great as Top grammar checker for less the price. Totally recommend
