Peace of mind is exactly the point, so it's great to hear that's what it's given you. With a soft-top especially, a visible deterrent does a lot of heavy lifting. Most would-be thieves are looking for the quick, quiet job, and the moment they spot a lock on the wheel they tend to move on to an easier target. They see it, they walk.

You've summed it up better than our ad copy does, honestly. We've never pretended any lock is impossible to defeat, because that's not real. The job is to turn a thirty-second grab into a loud, fiddly, drawn-out hassle that most won't want a bar of, and the bright colour means they're weighing that up before they've even reached the car. Easy for you to fit, a headache for anyone else. That's the balance we're after.

That little test you did with the pouch is the best way to prove it to yourself. If the car can't find the key, neither can a relay thief standing outside your door at 2am trying to clone the signal. That's exactly what it's there for. Pair it with the wheel lock and you've got two very different problems for anyone eyeing the car off, which is the whole idea behind bundling them together.

You've actually diagnosed it spot on. Nine times out of ten the sticky unlock is the mechanism sitting under a bit of tension rather than anything faulty. If you ease that pressure off first, a small nudge of the wheel so the lock isn't being pulled tight, then turn the key, it tends to release clean every time. Once the technique clicks it becomes second nature, but if it ever feels off, flick our team a message and we'll walk you through it properly.

Drew, the pouch catching people off guard is one of our favourite bits, glad it landed that way for you.

You've got the idea exactly right. Keep your keys in it and the signal can't be picked up or copied from outside, which shuts down the relay trick thieves use on keyless cars without ever touching the vehicle.
