I’m actually glad that I made my own…

I’m actually glad that I made my own decision not based off the reviews to try out longstories.ai . I did the free trial initially and based off my free trial it made me want to go to a paid subscription a lot of the reviews say you don’t get what you ask for and that the characters facial features change during scenes as well as it being a waste of money. I moved to the $60 subscription and at first I was a little annoyed but once I realize it was an error on my part I can’t be mad at the first video I WasteD. But after that one mistake everything has been uphill from there. A lot of people think that you can just tell AI what to do and it’s going to do exactly that when that’s true but it’s also false. You can be one word off and that one word will change the complete outcome of your idea. You have to be very detailed with clear expectations in order to get what you’re looking for. I’m excited and actually just purchased more credit to get more videos completed. I’m not sure why people are saying they don’t have a good support team I was able to reach though chat to get a rundown of what I did wrong which I understood when it was all set and done and I was also able to get them to walk me through other things that I was trying to do in order to make sure I didn’t waste time or credit which worked out perfectly. My opinion is well worth it and no I’m not a bot review lol my TT @ is @Bossyizzmyname

Good concept

Good concept, but character consistency and instruction-following need major improvement

I have been using LongStories.ai to create longer AI story videos, including children's stories and talking-character videos. The platform has a very good concept and one major advantage: it can take a script and create a complete long-form video with characters, narration, voices, scenes, animation and lip-sync in one place. This saves a considerable amount of time compared with creating many individual AI clips and combining them manually.

However, after producing several videos, I experienced significant problems with character consistency, scene continuity and understanding even fairly clear instructions.

For example, characters sometimes disappeared when another character was speaking, character positions changed between scenes, objects were placed incorrectly, and some generated scenes did not logically match the story. In one royal story, a character appeared with an unnatural duplicate/“ghost” face, a crown was oriented incorrectly when the character was viewed from behind, and a coronation was initially staged like a private interaction instead of the public royal ceremony requested.

The biggest frustration came when trying to correct these problems. Sometimes regenerating or editing a scene fixed the original issue but introduced a completely different problem. In another scene, I corrected the visual successfully, but when I re-animated it, an English-speaking character unexpectedly spoke in another language. Repeating the generation with explicit instructions to use English did not solve it.

This means users can spend additional credits trying to repair AI mistakes without knowing whether the regeneration will actually improve the scene.

What I like: LongStories.ai makes long-form AI video creation remarkably convenient. The interface brings script, characters, voices, animation and scenes together, and it can produce attractive visuals without requiring professional video-editing knowledge.

What needs improvement: The platform needs much stronger character locking, spatial and scene continuity, prompt understanding, dialogue/language control, and especially reliable scene-level editing. When a user asks to change one specific thing, the system should preserve everything else instead of potentially redesigning the scene.

I believe LongStories.ai has considerable potential, and I hope the developers continue improving it. But users considering the platform—especially those who require consistent recurring characters and precise storytelling across many scenes—should understand these limitations before purchasing a large credit package.

My suggestion to the developers: Focus less on adding more features for now and more on making the AI understand context across the entire story. A long-form storytelling platform needs to remember who each character is, where they are standing, what they are wearing, which direction they are facing, who is speaking, and what happened in the previous scene.

If these issues are substantially improved, LongStories.ai could become a very strong long-form AI storytelling platform.

Advertised Consistent Videos, Delivered a Different Character Every Timexpecting…

I subscribed to the Pro plan expecting consistent AI-generated character videos, as advertised. Despite following their process exactly - creating a detailed Character Profile and even rebuilding it from scratch using premium credits to generate a full 9-image Reference Sheet (which came out
perfectly consistent) - the actual video generation kept producing a completely different-looking character in the scenes.
I contacted their live chat support twice over several days, laying out the issue clearly with screenshots as evidence. Both messages were left on read with no response. Looking into it further, this doesn't seem to be an isolated issue - other reviews here describe the same core problem: advertised consistency across
scenes/clips that doesn't hold up once you actually pay and generate. Disappointing experience given the promising concept - I wanted this to work.

Absolute Rip Off

Absolute Rip Off. Got a nice teaser so I subscribed for 59 USD. first video generation failed but it took all my credits. Then they finally wrote me back telling me the script for a video has limitations. End of story I was asked to get even more credit to create a new short video. Money gone and video. Terrible. I do not recommend!!!!!!

They can't create scenes more than 10 seconds, no long videos

They claim to be able to make longer videos than other AI websites. This is a complete fraud. They can stitch together 5 second clips to build a long video, but none of the clips are consistent as they lie about in their advertisement, and I settled trying to make a video of someone sitting and writing for 1 minute without any camera movement and they said it just can't be done. They claimed there was no AI ever that could do this, even though they advertise that you can make videos up to 15 minutes that are consistent. However once you pay they finally admit that they can't create videos that are longer than 9 seconds without any scene changes. This website is falsely advertised because you can't create long stories like they advertise, but you can create a bunch of 5 second stories stitched together poorly with jumpy scenes and jumpy movement. I tried to create 1 scene on a video and they created over 20 scenes and took my money for the extra scenes and wouldn't fix the problem. There seems to be more of an interest in people paying after signing up, then getting little to no real help when their credits disappear without warning. Spent a lot of money and have absolutely nothing to show for it, because they couldn't even make the simplest video I needed which was literally just someone sitting and writing a letter.
