Just awful

Just awful. Paid £45 for them to use a free app to "spend many hours restoring my photo of my late aunt". I asked for a full refund. Was disgusting and disrespectful. Not sure how they thought they'd get away with it. Looked nothing like the people in the picture and just looked like cartoons!!

Doesn’t deliver what it says on the tin!

After following on instagram for a while and loving their published work I took the plunge and paid for a photograph restoration. The photo was only taken just over a year ago but it wasn’t great!
It turns out though it was better than the edited version. One person in the edited photo has grown slugs for eyebrows and my poor mum looks like she’s had her head chopped off, heavily edited and stuck back on at an angle.
I showed my sister the ‘improved version’ and she thought it was hilarious (until she noticed her slug eyebrows).
Purchased for a Mother’s Day present but not used as what I’ve received is laughable.
I don’t write bad reviews normally. Everyone makes mistakes and you should always give people the opportunity to rectify. Although they said they would ‘take another look’ they haven’t. I’ve subsequently asked for a refund and I’ve been ignored. I’ll now have to pursue via Visa. The concept is great, the reality less so.

Had seen on Instagram the work that…

Had seen on Instagram the work that they have done for others. I wanted to get my dad something special for Xmas and wasn’t disappointed. They done such a lovely job on 2 photos of my Nan and grandad, just loved them. Communication was amazing and so helpful, and delivery was very quick. I would defo recommend. Thank you 😊

Full Marks - Everyone deserves a second chance.

I leaving a new rating which gives full marks to Loved Ones Forever. Following a bad experience with them last year, I have to say, they responded and rectified everything for me.

I believe that everyone deserves the chance to put things right, and the team Ben works with certainly worked hard to do just that. My Mums reaction to her restored photo on Christmas Day was utterly priceless. I am so happy, that I am about to place a second photo restoration for my Nans 90th.

Thank you Ben & Loved Ones Forever team.

They tried their best but grateful for their efforts.

I used them to try and get a photo of my grandparents restored for my mother and her siblings, sadly the photo I sent was far too pixelated for a truly accurate restoration.I was offered a full refund and I will be using them again in the new year however as I have more to send. hopefully I’ll find the original photo somewhere for them to try again. I appreciate their efforts a great deal and very happy with the communication I’ve received with Benjamin during the process. They really tried their best but on this occasion it was too much.

Fraud, uses apps

For those who follow this guy ( Ben Lopez) & thanks (Hull Live) for printing it, he's a con artist, not a photo artist. He claimed to colour a photo of Captain Tom for his grandson, the family don't even know this guy, never mind requested it. He's not a colourist or restoration artist.
He uses apps, that take all of 2 minutes, not 9 hours like he's claimed, this guy is putting true colourists/restorers, out of business.. Search Ben Lopez Captain sir tom Hull Daily Mail. fraudster.

Really disappointing

Had to chase Ben so many times. He provided a really poorly colourised image (when I had requested black and white) and then when I queried it he said a replacement would be sent and never did. I asked for a refund and it never arrived

Such a scam. Was meant to be a present for my father in law and I would have been better off throwing money into the bin.

Awful to deal with and not worth the final product.

It's scary that this company is getting so many celebrity endorsements.

Sent Ben 4 photos last year. Pictures of my Grandma, who I never got to meet and who died when my Dad was young. I thought it would be nice to have some photos of her restored for his birthday.

Before I sent my photos Ben assured me that he'd be able to restore all the photos within 2 days.

I sent the photos through to Ben and he sent me one of the restored photos very shortly after, which looked great. A few more days went by and, after I chased him, he sent another photo through.

Then this was all I heard for over a week, my Dad's birthday getting closer I chased Ben several times and despite him being active constantly on Instagram he either refused to get back to me or just told me he was working on them.

4 weeks later and well past my Dad's birthday and Ben's self-imposed deadline of 2 days I found myself having to comment on Ben's instagram photos just to get his attention.

Begrudgingly Ben sent another one of the photos through (all sent through instagram messenger and not through email, despite me insisting. So the resolution was of course very poor and not suitable for blowing up or printing), but then went quiet when I asked about the final photo.

The next day, after seeing again that Ben was posting other people's photos on Instagram, I messaged and asked for a refund or my final photo. To which Ben told me "Just dull working on it that's all" and "it's out of wrk hours...I don't work 24 hours a day buddy"!

The next day I messaged Ben (within work hours) to check he was working on my final photo. A few hours later he came back with a terrible colourised version of the photo, which probably would have looked better done with one of those free restore apps, accompanied by "there you go unfortunately as you rushed me I was unable to do my best work" and "You fault completely so sorry you was impatient".

Some constructive criticism for the company: 1. Don't set deadlines that you can't keep. 2. Keep customers updated, especially if you're not going to be able to keep to your own deadlines. 3. Learn to sincerely apologise when you make a mistake.

A warning for potential customers: If you decide to give this company your money be prepared to chase them constantly for your product and take any deadlines they give you with a good pinch of salt.

SCAM!!!! AVOID. Lied and took my money!!

Absolutely awful service. I sent an email with a picture to be restored. I was told it was not possible to restore, but I could send another picture. I did not want another picture restoring, I chose the original for a reason.
I politely requested a refund, Ben replied and asked for my details so he could issue it, so I replied with the info but he did not issue the refund. I enquired about it again and was told 'sorry, can you send it again', and I re-sent it, but he still did not issue the refund. I messaged several times after that and each time he fobbed me off! This went on for weeks. Then, he said 'but I did do the picture', but he absolutely did not – and why say, for weeks, that you will issue a refund and then suddenly turn around and tell me ‘no, I have done the picture’? I once again requested a refund, but he did not reply after that, at all. I got notification that Ben had cancelled my request (on PayPal), without issuing a refund.
Ben should be ashamed; he is exploiting people. I reported it as fraud and contacted his bank about it, they advised they would investigate and make a note of it but were unable to recover my money.
Interestingly, I can see how many others have had similar issues and are getting excuses from him - he is gaslighting, he says he will refund and then keeps the money. The worst customer experience I have ever had.

Ben, you claim to aim to ‘fight back on mental health’ but you are not, you are taking money from people and exploiting them and then lying to them, and then behaving as though you are doing good. I work in mental health. I have warned my organisation to be aware of you, as we have to protect vulnerable people from scammers like you.

You mentioned us being a scam and exploiting people, this is absolutely not the case, and is a misunderstanding.
Our aim is to bring happiness and fight mental health.

I understand that there was a period prior to February 2022 where Ben was working on his own, and may have been overwhelmed with work.
We reached out to all customers with jobs that may be overlooked and offered a full refund.

As a part of our service, we also offer an alternative restoration, or a full
refund if our customer is not happy with their photo. Our customers have a money back guarantee, if we can't deliver, we refund.

Our team cant seem to locate your order.

SCAM.

I was scammed by this person and even reported to the Police as I connected with numerous individuals online who went through the same. Money was transferred over and then communication stopped. Weeks went past and it wasn’t until I posted on the social media page was I contacted. My comment was deleted and I was then blocked after I asked for a refund. If you notice on the social media pages, comments are deleted. This is because numerous people are saying the same as me. Do not fall for this.

CON ARTIST!! If I could give this seller ZERO stars I would!!! Honestly never been so disappointed in my life, I gave this man a photo of my Late uncle and mum (who has since passed away) I wanted a photo of them both restored as a gift to my mum. However, what I received was shocking!! It looked like he had put the photo through a mobile app to restore, it didn't even look like my mum in the end result!!! I was very upset with the final product and I asked for a refund, he said he wouldn't refund the full amount as he had spent time on this photo I said fine and we agree a return price that he would refund me, I had to ask multiple times for the refund and he would say yes of course, send voice notes ect!! I NEVER received a refund, in the end i gave up trying!!! I have a screen recording of this chat which was made via his Instagram page AS PROOF. I have since found out he has done this to multiple people!!! Please be careful who you buy from, he seems to do a great job for celebrities but not for the average everyday person!!!!!! He comes across as genuine and kind giving his sad story about his mums passing to take your money!!! Well thanks to him I never got to give my mum her gift (that I paid for) before she passed away!!!!

Firstly I am so so sorry for the loss of your mother I know it’s truly a difficult time to go through.

Secondly I am also very sorry that on this occasion I wasn’t able to restore your photo as you wanted, some photos are more difficult than others and this happens also to celebrities I have let down on occasions.

My aim is to try my absolute best to restore these memories and bring happiness back to families I really wish I could get it right every time.

I did spent lots of time on your photo and offered you a half refund and also I offered to do another photo free of charge. If you are still not happy with this, of course I will give you a full refund I don’t want anyone to feel upset. Please know my intentions are pure and from my heart.

I will always be here should you wish to talk about your mum and also any photo at any point in time you come across please send that in and I will do that for you.
