Lusso Avis 

Nice to get some warm tights from a GB company. A little on the tight side but I did go large. Nice and warm maybe a tad too warm in our changing climate. Nice price nice fit but I thought I was getting a"bee" on the bum.???

First of all. The products from Lusso are always top class and it's fantastic to be able to purchase items that are made locally. For that, I give them 5*. However, I had real issues with delivery to France. I made my original order on the 8th Jan and didn't receive my items until the 19th Feb. Granted, the first lot they sent were lost by FedEx (but it still took a disproportionate amount of time to establish this and get replacement items sent, around 2 weeks), and then when the replacement items were sent, Lusso's system didn't include the relevant customs forms and so they were held at the border for another 2 weeks until this was sorted out. On both occasions, I felt the time it took for Lusso to get this sorted with FedEx took way too long, although customer service were trying, for which I say thank you. They did refund my delivery fee which was very much appreciated but purely down to the amount of time I had to wait for the items, and the fact the second delay was down to Lusso, I can't go above 3* for the whole experience.

Great service - cycle tights fit perfectly following their advice on sizing

Prompt supply, and prompt, human, response when I had to return item and have a different size supplied.

Lusso cycle clothing is excellent quality in terms of design and quality. Prices are competative and by 'go-to' for cycling kit.

Excellent jacket for cycling in winter in Scotland. If it is very wet rain shell can go over it without getting too hot.

A local company with a local lad at the helm, Lusso's service is second to none even allowing a pick up option if you prefer. Little details make all the difference, a repair service for damaged clothing is a nice touch. The quality and design of all their products is a high standard and who doesn't like the Manchester Bee🐝. One of my last purchases, the Paragon Deep Winter Base Layer 2.0 is definitely a must for this time of year, a warm fitted base layer that keeps you toasty at this time of year, washes well and doesn't lose its shape.

Not the first purchase from Lusso and it certainly won’t be the last; excellent products that are reasonably priced and hand made in the UK. The online shopping experience is faultless and I love the new packaging.

I bought a lusso acqua repel jacket 2 years ago. At the time I was also looking at a castelli gabba which was roughly the same price. I bought the lesson because it was stated to have a higher waterproof rating. This was a mistake. Seams are not taped. The fabric is not waterproof. As I subsequently discovered, it is no comparison with a gabba. On a positive note, fit is good and its well made. But its not worth 160 quid. I posted a balanced and truthful review on the lusso website. They removed it and only retained the 5 star reviews. I am never buying anything from them again for this reason.

I have subsequently seen Lusso's response below. A couple of comments: I bought a castelli gabba and the seams are taped - i should add that i bought a gabba because i was disappointed with the performance of the Lusso. The gabba is a thinner garment, but way more waterproof. In the case of the lusso garment I went for a 1 hour ride in sustained drizzle (not rain) shortly after buying it (ie not 2 years later), and the water made its way through. That was very disappointing. In similar weather a gabba was way better. Lusso have also not responded to my comment about removing unfavourable reviews. That, more than the performance of the garment, was the shocker for me.

In summary, for me the jacket fits well and has a long back. It's extremely comfortable. But don't buy this thinking it's any more water resistant than a decent fleece, it's not.

Bought Lusso for many years. Quality cycle clothing at great prices. Another advantage is you can collect direct from the factory so you can be sure of correct sizing. Great service, a pleasure to shop there.
