Mallard Jewellers and Pawnbrokers has been an independent family jewellers since 1932. We have 7 stores in Basildon, Romford, Ilford, Southend, Nottingham, Leicester and Peterborough. We specialise in selling pre-owned luxury watches and pre-owned diamond and gold jewellery. We also stock a stunning range of designer jewellery, watches and new diamond jewellery. When you visit our stores, whether it be choosing an engagement ring or changing a watch battery. We pride ourselves on our customer service making sure we offer the best advice and service. Our staff are highly trained professionals, passionate about their job, who think nothing of going out of their way to help customers. Our pawnbroking service is a quick and easy process loan secured on your jewellery. You can visit any store, no appointment needed. If you have unwanted jewellery we can buy this for cash or part exchange for that special item you have always dreamed of. We can advise and quote for repairs to your jewellery and watches, with a majority of watch batteries being changed in store and some repairs can be a same day service. If you need your jewellery valued for insurance we can do this too. Just ask in store for details or contact us via the website.

Excellent follow on service
A very friendly and professional service from Judith in Nottingham who took the time to show me other chains that I had not initially seen on display, and I did indeed finally choose one of those.
I asked for an insurance valuation in addition to the receipt given on purchase and was promised this by the following Wednesday - delighted when this arrived as promised, - A4 certificate with full details and photos.
To me its the quality and reliability of follow up service that sets a company above others and I shall certainly be visiting Mallards, Nottingham again.

Another great service
Always a great service from very helpful staff at Mallards, Romford store. Alison was very helpful indeed. As were the other staff when I dropped my two pieces of jewellery off for repair. I always go back there. Their jeweller is on site which I like as I don’t like my jewellery being sent off to other sites.

Purchase and resizing of ring
Mallards had a good selection of pretty rings for reasonable prices. The ring we chose together had also been discounted after Christmas, so was very well priced. Sally served us & advised on the stone (a sapphire) and how to care for it. The ring needed resizing, which didn't cost a lot and was expertly done. Very happy with both the item & the service. Would always return to Mallards as my preferred jeweller as the staff are helpful and knowledgable.

Mallard Peterborough
Visited Mallard Peterborough today. Paul was excellent and very knowledgeable. The shops mixture of new and pre-owned stock meant we had a real variety of items to choose from.

Very professional & friendly
We have been served by Emily and another colleague, both of whom were excellent. They took such great care in ensuring the work would be right (resizing 3 rings) and were very patient with us. The gentleman who works there is friendly and very expert in valuing and identifying the stones etc. We would wholeheartedly recommend this shop.
The prices were also reasonable.

Leicester store
Used the Leicester store for a Christmas present. The staff were brilliant, patient and knowledgeable. Made me feel really at ease even though I was being a pain changing my order. Couldn't recommend enough. Will definitely go back. Thank you ladies

Fantastic service
Fantastic service! I found a ring on line from another store and asked about it through the website - Andrea had it sent to my nearest Store in Peterborough to view - it was there within a couple of days and the peterborough store phoned to let me know it had arrived. When i went to try it on, all of the ladies that worked there were super helpful - We paid a deposit and collected within a few days - i will be buying from here again, excellent experience. Lovely shop lovely people.
I visited the shop in Leicester on Sunday the 1st of December with my boyfriend.
We were made welcome by a lovely lady, who endeavoured to help me as my fingers were warm and fatter than usual. I chose a beautiful ring with the help of the three ladies serving in the shop. I definitely recommend this place it's worth a visit. Thank you.

White gold chain
I've bought a few pieces from Mallards now and the staff have been very helpful as I'm buying on line. With just a few photos to look at. But the staff provided extra photos and took the time to listen to my requirements. Can't thank them enough. My wife loves the chain.
