I went into consulting recruiting with zero casing background, which felt pretty daunting at first. Working with George Cary through Management Consulted, that changed fast. Sessions were structured but never felt like a script. After a few weeks I noticed I was adapting to unfamiliar case types instead of freezing up or forcing a memorized framework onto everything.

The PEI side ended up being just as valuable, maybe more so since I'd underrated how much it mattered going in. My stories got sharper and more specific with each round, to the point where they actually answered what interviewers were probing for instead of just sounding like a good anecdote.

If you're starting from scratch on casing and want a coach who actually gets you there, George is who I'd point you to.

I was preparing for my McKinsey interviews, and my casing skills improved exponentially working with him. He knows exactly what the interviewers are looking for and gives you feedback you can actually use. He never rushed me, never made me feel like I was asking too many questions, and every session I walked away better than I came in.

He also prepared me very well for the PEI. That part of the McKinsey process is easy to underestimate, and George helped me get my stories to where they needed to be.

Honestly? Not great, but not bad. Their content is incredibly dated for what you’ll get in a real interview. It will give you the basics and help you understand the structure of cases, but definitely won’t prepare you for a 2nd-final round.

The coaches are fine (knowledge-wise), but don’t expect a patient, kind coach. I always left discouraged after my sessions because I felt their feedback was way too harsh to even call it “actionable or constructive”. However, it still helped me identify my weaknesses, so that was helpful.

I’d try other options if I had the chance to invest in a course or 1:1s, all over again!

The coaches were patient and always provided actionable feedback for me when I completed a case. I immediately felt more comfortable navigating through cases after each session especially when I hit a roadblock. They provided me with the necessary structure to create a strong framework that would help me start off on the right foot. Highly recommend for anyone who is aiming for a management consulting position!

My coach that I worked consistently with Tobe, was incredibly smart and generous with his time. He consistently gave me actionable feedback as well as homework so I was actually improving that feedback. I definitely recommend!

Black Belt is great, definitely worth $2000 for an offer. Without coaching I won't know anything about how to nail my PEI. Highly recommend and don't be stingy on $2000 for a $200k job.

I go to a non-target but good state school for undergrad, never did a case or consulting club. Received final rounds at 2 and offer at 1 of the MBB firms in my region. Very helpful!

Black-belt program was great because of the resume and cover letter edits + the coaching. The curriculum was solid, but I had to rewatch videos a few times.

For the coaching, I had two. The first was solid but I just didn't click. The second one was phenomenal. Go with who you think would be best suited for your personality or firm goals. I would also recommend trying to have a solid footing in casing before the first coaching call so you can get the most out of it, but they will help you if you are coming from zero background knowledge.

One of the nicest parts is the structure to your case-prep it provides. It allows you to benchmark where you should be, which was especially helpful for me as I had no prior experience or friends to case with (worked fluid and late hours over summer due to an internship)

The Black Belt program is worth every penny, and I paid for additional coaching sessions after I was invited to interview with McKinsey and BCG. The resume/cover letter edits were amazing and definitely helped my resume/cover letter stand out. I worked with Jon Martinez, Dongyi Wang, and Ish Mawla who are incredible coaches. They helped me shine my best during the interviews. McKinsey gave me an offer on the spot.

I worked with two coaches (Laura and Tobe) to prepare for all 3 MBB interviews. I had already secured the interview so didn't need the coaching for the resume or online testing - but I really needed case prep. Both coaches and the support of the Management Consulted team were phenomenal. I got real-time feedback that was clear on how to implement. One of the most valuable things in case prep, is doing cases with a partner - having an experienced hire on the other end was incredibly valuable. Additionally, the plethora of case resources MC have was extremely helpful after running out of others - it gave me exposure to various functional areas and industries. I also appreciate the rigorous vetting process that the coaches go through. I rate the service highly - it got me 2 MBB offers.

VERY helpful service for case prep, especially for drills such as Math Drills, Framework drills, etc. The Case Interview Bootcamp was also a useful step by step walk-thru. Only complaint is the quality of the case library, the cases are sufficient but often not as close to MBB cases as others case prep sites.

Worth the investment! The access to the resources due to being a school partner was super valuable, I followed the 12-week plan completing all the cases, drills, and mental math drills. I also invested in meeting with the MC coaches, which I believed gave me the right guidance and super valuable tips on what separates candidates. A great use of my time and money to get an offer at MasterCard as a consultant!

There are a lot of resources on the internet available when one is researching about consulting, the interview process, etc, but Management Consulted has by far the most detailed, easy to digest, and organized information of them all. The amazing free resources that MC has convinced me to also pay for the Black Belt program. The personalized case coaching and resume edits were excellent and ultimately helped me land my dream job at BCG! I highly recommend Management Consulted as the one stop shop to learn about consulting industry compensation, differences between the popular firms, interview prep, networking tips, resume editing, and more!

Listening to the podcasts helped a great deal during my case interview prep process. The detailed feedback given after each case really helps listeners understand what the case interviewer expects. Would definitely recommend!

The materials are fine, but my experience with the coach was pretty terrible. Always sounded like he was on his way to a class at Chicago Business School while he was administering the case.

Management Consulted provided me the guidance I needed to succeed and eventually get interviews and offers. Thanks to their customized resume and cover letter support, I landed interviews at Bain, BCG, PwC, Cornerstone Research, Gartner and other large and small consulting firms and for management/strategy roles in multiple Fortune 500 companies. From there, I worked with multiple coaches, each person helped me with their different expertise and helped identify areas for improvement. I continued to improve based on the feedback and eventually landed multiple offers, and will be joining PwC/Strategy&. My coaches informed me exactly what I could expect in the case and each round of interview, and exactly how I should answer those questions. Having worked with other consulting prep companies as well, I can say that at least out of the ones I worked with, management consulted provided me with the most help. The company was also helpful outside sessions, answering quick last minute questions I had related to multiple areas which went along way in helping me succeed. I would recommend working with Namaan to identify the right coach for you and try a few sessions.
