Extremely dissapointed
I have no issues with the purchasing process, order processing time, or delivery. My concern is solely with the quality of the product.
I ordered a teardrop lamp, at this high price point, I was expecting it to be much more authentic and well-crafted than what I received. Unfortunately, the quality of the metal is extremely poor—it's only slightly thicker than tin foil—and the overall workmanship is equally disappointing. Based on the cost, description and photos, I expected a far higher standard of quality.

Hi Diane, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sincerely sorry to hear that the teardrop lamp did not meet the high standards you expected, even though we are glad the purchasing and delivery processes were seamless for you.
Our Moroccan lighting pieces are entirely handcrafted by artisans. The metal is often worked to a specific thinness to allow for the intricate, traditional hand-piercing techniques required to cast those beautiful geometric shadows. However, it should never feel flimsy or lacking in durability, and we are disappointed that this piece fell short of our usual quality standards.
We truly value your satisfaction and want to make this right. Please reach out to us directly at info@marrakeche.com. We hope to have the chance to restore your trust in our craftsmanship.

This bag will last for years. A great keepsake of my Moroccan trip!

Hi Dianne, thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review and for choosing The Weekender bag as a keepsake of your Moroccan trip! We are thrilled that you love the beautiful leather and roomy design.
We also wanted to leave a quick note for you and anyone else reading regarding the zipper tabs (sometimes referred to as 'cloud tongues'). Please rest assured they are completely brand new! They are crafted from solid copper, which is specifically chosen because it provides a beautiful, intentionally antique look while offering exceptional durability. As you noticed, they work smoothly, and this sturdy copper hardware ensures your bag truly will last for years to come.
Thank you again for your support and for taking the time to share your experience!
Great!
The pieces I ordered are absolutely beautiful and the delivery time was as expected. Will definitely be shopping here again in the future.

Hi Kurban,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We are very glad to hear that you are pleased with the overall quality of the bag.
We appreciate your note regarding the strap length. this straw bag is designed with fixed, non-adjustable straps, as mentioned in the product description. However, we completely understand that strap fit can vary from person to person.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us as we look for ways to improve our future designs. Thank you again for your support!
Best regards,

very disappointed
For $200 each of the pouf, I would expect an exceptional quality and service, but it's not. It took an entire one month to receive the pouf in America - and for most part, there's no tracking details updated. And when it finally arrived, it was not in a box, but just the pouf itself wrapped in a thousand layers of cling film, like a big trash bag. It's not a good experience even after its arrival, because lots of grease oil was needed to unwrap those plastics! Completely disappointed and wouldn't recommend at all.

Hi NN,
We are sorry to hear the delivery and unboxing experience was frustrating. It sounds like this might be your first time ordering a fully stuffed pouf from overseas, so we’d like to provide some context.
At checkout, you selected our free shipping and international packaging options. To offer complimentary shipping on such bulky items to America, we tightly wrap them in heavy-duty protective film rather than using standard cardboard boxes.
While we know cutting through this wrapping takes some effort, this method is essential to protect the pouf from moisture, dirt, and damage during its month-long journey. Our primary goal is to ensure your product arrives completely intact. Since your pouf safely survived the trip undamaged, the packaging successfully did its job.
We hope that now it is unpacked, you can enjoy your new pouf!
Best regards,

Dear Gene,
Thank you for your review. We're surprised by this feedback, as this is the first complaint of this nature we've received. We sell these tissue box covers regularly, with many customers purchasing multiple units, and quality has never been an issue.
We also notice that you did not contact us before posting this review. We have a responsive customer service team ready to resolve any concern — a simple message would have been enough for us to arrange an immediate replacement or refund.
Going straight to a 1-star review without giving us the chance to help doesn't reflect how we do business. We stand behind every product we sell.
That said, our offer still stands. Please reach out to us directly at customer-care@marrakeche.com, and we'll resolve this for you right away.
Regards,
The Marrakeche Crafts Team

Thank you very much Igor for the positive review!
A solid 3/5
The bag looks nice, fits a surprising amount, and is comfortable. It is a good deal for the price. It does still smell quite strongly even a month after getting it. In the heat it smelled stronger than usual, and it wasn't pleasant. It was also shipped in a bag instead of a box. I appreciate free shipping, but the bag allowed the backpack to get squished. This made the pocket on the front look a little weird, and it still has creases. I would rather pay for shipping and have it be shipped nicer.

Hi Emma, thank you so much for your honest feedback — we really appreciate it!
We're glad you love the look, fit, and comfort of your backpack. Regarding the leather smell, this is actually a sign of genuine, naturally tanned leather. The scent does fade over time, especially if you leave the bag in a well-ventilated area for a few days. We understand it can be stronger in warmer weather, and we appreciate your patience with it.
Your point about the packaging is well taken. We always want our products to arrive in perfect condition, and we're looking into improved packaging options, including box shipping, to prevent any creasing during transit. In the meantime, any creases from shipping should gradually smooth out with regular use — you can also gently stuff the bag to help reshape it.
If there's anything else we can do to make your experience better, please don't hesitate to reach out. We truly value your support!
Warm regards,
The Marrakeche Crafts Team
