I shopped around a little bit to find a culinary grade matcha that seemed to be the best quality for both its weight and price as I've been using samidori in my lattes (lol, incredibly financially unsustainable. and perhaps also a little bit sacriligious. :^D) and landed on matchaandbeyond.com.
It was £12.50 for 100g and dispatched to me a day later, and, after furiously ripping open the box in excitement on its arrival, I was absolutely over the moon to see and smell such a verdant, grassy powder. I've had so-called ceremonial grades in the past that have been so dull in looks, flavour and fragrance that were more expensive, for less product!
Thus far I've had the culinary grade matcha in cold strawberry lattes and even velvetised it with vanilla hot chocolate flakes and it has absolutely slapped every time. It's very savoury and lovely.
I've grand plans to make basque cheesecake and tiramisu with it, and will undoubtedly be repurchasing from matchaandbeyond.com when my pouch is nearing its end. Thank you!!

I have personally selected each grades from visiting numerous tea farms in japan and wanted to offer a selection of grades to suit every palate and use. Our culinary is what many brands would call premium matcha and is a versatile matcha to use in lattes, with or without added flavours as well as for baking, because it is a blend of summer and autumn harvest (rather than being a late autumn harvest, it has an appealing green colour and has low astringency. As much as I love Samidori or Okumidori cultivar they tend to be very expensive and are a niche market, but this something, I may introduce as guests matcha in the future, stay tuned! For recipes, visit our instagram they are plenty matcha based recipes and I am planning to make a basque matcha cheesecake in June, Matcha tiramisu recipe was posted in December.

Their matcha is high quality and amazing! I've been trying to find where I could buy high quality matcha and authentic from Japan that's based in the UK. Tried their Hojicha that they will release soon and it's been my absolute fave type of matcha since last year, so glad that i've found them and I know where I can hoard my hojicha goods <3333

I am a monthly subscriber to the ceremonial grade matcha and I can highly recommend. I drink with just water and it is delicious. I would be lost without my daily cup. The packaging is lovely and the fact that you can subscribe to a refill bag makes it excellent value in my opinion. Moreover the customer service is swift and excellent. Best I have tasted and I have tasted a few.
