These guys say no win no fee, than pull random figures out of their arse for disbursements ranging from 20k-40k to coerce you into accepting a measly $50k settlement on a TPD after nine years of deliberation. Maurice Blackburn are in the business of racketeering and wouldn’t surprise me if they were on the Super’s payroll.

Absolutely pathetic , first claim was on my superannuation, supposed to have money released at 5-7 days, day 19 I called my superannuation and got it sorted out, they lied and said there was a priority on it , they didn’t even make a phone call to my superannuation for $6000 ripped off on that one big time!!
Second was my impairment, they knew nothing of me going for an assessment, no paperwork organised , finally got my money , they took $8250 quick smart , no further communication from them for 7 weeks , I call them about how my common law claim was progressing, no call just an email with a questionnaire, so I’ve sacked them and will never deal with them again.
Very happy with my new lawyers handling my common law , professional, communicate well and doing as they promised.
Do your research and don’t deal with these muppets !

Incorrect and inconsistent advice, poor communication, and a $60,000 fee for very little work. My super fund was far more supportive—even though they had more reason to reject my claim. I handled it myself in the end and was successful. I also know others who’ve had the same experience. Would not recommend.

Disgusting service. Rang for no win no fee and the girl was amazing. She was smart had left the company. No one rang me so I rang to see what was going on. Spoke to the manager of the area and she told me Vincent would ring me on Monday with an update. That was back in early May. Still waiting in late August. Professionalism gone out the window here

TPD claim, I should have completed the claim form myself. No compassion or empathy. Disappointed!!

I'd give them a zero if I could - paid $690 for an initial consultation with a lawyer that was young and inexperienced. The information he gave me was wrong, he wasn't interested in my case at all. I had clear evidence but was told it wouldn't be beneficial for them to move forward and it would have costed $4000 to fill out a form for me. I have lost all respect for Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. Do your research before dealing with them. HOPELESS!

Maurice Blackburn lawyers assigned a wee little lawyer. However, at the time, this wee little Maurice Blackburn lawyer forgot to mention (whilst he was dealing with my Australian Government Insurance claim) he had applied for and accepted a job with the Australian Government Insurer.

In addition to not declaring this very significant conflict of interest, the wee little lawyer also allowed me to attend an Australian Government Insurer medical examination with the Australian Governments very own medico-legal doctors. Any decent lawyer/law firm would not allow this to occur because this particular medico-legal firm is on the Australian Governments regular payroll (standing contract panel), and therefore, these medico-legal bullies are the solution the Australian Government Insurer relies upon to get a narrative that works against you the claimant. I was very unwell at this time and completely reliant on the advice of Maurice Blackburn's wee little lawyer (he certainly fooled me).

The now ex wee little Maurice Blackburn lawyer works for the Australian Government Insurer which is great for Maurice Blackburn because they have an inside man, so to speak. Yet this arrangement is very odd because this ex wee little Maurice Blackburn lawyer has oversight of active compensation case management i.e. claims that he was involved with whilst working for Maurice Blackburn.

Maurice Blackburn's wee little lawyer managed to get me the absolute minimum compensation because of what the so-called independent medical examination report said i.e. a report written by doctor employed by the Australian Government Insurer. Once again, any decent reputable law firm would not allow their clients to attend an examination with a medico-legal company that is reliant upon ongoing business from the insurer.

I lost everything because of the reckless bungling created by the investigators employed by the Australian Government Insurer. The incompetent mismanagement of my complaint of industrial workplace bullying was further supported (seamlessly) by the wee little Maurice Blackburn lawyer because without any doubt he wanted to impress his soon to be employer. As things transpire we now know that Maurice Blackburn were working to achieve the best possible outcome for the Australian Government Insurer. To the point, as at 22 January 2025, I received an email from the Maurice Blackburn Senior Executive Client Liaison Manager (Melbourne) and Mr X clearly states in his email that Maurice Blackburn were instructed by the Australian Government Insurer to send me to their doctor.

If you have left a positive review about Maurice Blackburn, then I would suggest that your experience was attributed to the individuals who assisted and represented you.

Maurice Blackburn's senior leadership certainly does not and would not give a hoot about you. To prove this point, as mentioned above, Maurice Blackburn were instructed by the Australian Government Insurer to send me to a specific doctor with a well known reputation for aiding the agenda of the Australian Government Insurer.

Until today (07 Feb 2025), I had a more accurate review with Trustpilot about what happened, however, Maurice Blackburn managed to strong-arm this review from existence by means of Trustpilot's very own policy. Right now, because I have only mentioned exactly what happened without naming the individuals (who should be held to account), it is now necessary for Maurice Blackburn to issue a Cease and Desist.

Oddly in my recent email volley with Maurice Blackburn, the Senior Executive Client Liaison Officer (Melbourne) acknowledged the severity of my condition per the narrative in the standing examination report which was valid at the time when the wee little Maurice Blackburn lawyer allowed me to attend a medical examination with a particular renowned medico-legal doctor. Simply put, by taking this course of action, Maurice Blackburn achieved the highest possible fee, whilst I received the absolute minimum amount of compensation possible.

Please accept my experience as a warning about Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, they are not to be trusted or engaged, please stay well clear.

You win my son's case the settlement but can't use the money NSW Trustee and Guardian are making it extremely difficult to access the funds I didn't want to put the funds with them it's virtually impossible to get the funds out of them in time to plan anytime can't believe the money is going to be held with them for another 3.5 years if i knew it was going to be this difficult to access the funds i wouldn't have started the case in the first place my son is not happy with your service neither am I.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IN THE NT!!!!! I used Maurice and Blackburn because I thought they fought for fare. All they did was charge me over $60 000.00 in "mediation costs" got me a pathetic permanent disability payout and told me to Go Away. I'm still on Workers Compensation because they can't and won't do anything but gut you dry. I was born in Darwin and this low act is just so typical of the NT.

Waiting over a week for a reply... multiple phonecalls.."well get an email to them to call you as a senior will call you back this day .. nothing? So called to check up whays happening...Ah well they will call by the next day... nothing called again... ahh by next week. Specific days given". Waiting so I took phone everywhere...waiting...Still no response... when i called again today...guess what they finish at 3pm on fridays.. tried another number after hours... took another message...getting concerned at the lack of professionalism here 😟 come on maurice blackburn. I had a very complicated medical issue as a result of a motor car accident that I required legal expertise with. I needed an estate lawyer - signed up with Maurice Blackburn - then found out estates is ran through cairns office not locally - rarely spoke to solicitor, was given contradictory info, all direction I needed to research myself - it was a mess - initially thought the person I was speaking too was solicitor- only a paralegal - felt like Chinese whispers
