Been using McConechys in Rankine St Johnstone for what must be 10 years now. Used to be Strathclyde Tyres back in the day. Always great service in there.
The boys are always chirpy and got a bit of chat for you. Work done is always explained to you and returned on time agreed without fail. Been keeping my old Volvo V70 on the road for many a year. I like a wee bit of a deal and the boys are always accommodating and can come and go a little on the price.
Wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else.

We had an emergency tyre incident and we managed to get to the fort William branch with only 30 minutes free time as we had a ferry to catch in Mallaig. The guys in the branch were first class and helped us get back on the road and made the ferry with 10 mins to spare. A first class service.

I visited the Blairgowrie branch of McConechys and asked if they could look at the slow puncture on my car tyre. Disappointingly the guy in charge told me that there was nothing he could do for me as his Internet was down and therefore couldn't do anything. This was particularly irksome as the workers adjacent to me were busy working on x2 wheels!

What is most annoying though is that the guy in reception stopped me mid sentence to answer the phone that started to ring. As he has no idea whom was on the other end of that call, why is a phone ringing instantly more important than the customer standing in front of you? This just makes me think that my inquiry/ custom is instantly not as important as the unknown phone caller, whom, incidently got his/her issue fully dealt with before coming back to my issue. This is nothing but rude. Surely you deal with one customer before moving on to the next?

McConechys-Peebles street Ayr 14/01/21. Only reason 1 star was given was because 2 rear tyres fitting was successful. Visible Damage was done to rear of my vehicle & regional manager had refused to accept liability. I trusted this business to look after my vehicle while it was in their possession. However they’ve accidentally damaged my vehicle & are not accepting blame. No business Cctv available & my rear dash camera footage has recorded over as the manager took days to get back to me. My word against 3 technicians that worked on my vehicle including the Manager as they couldn’t get my rear tail gate open or put the spare wheel back correctly under my truck. No body condition report was completed identifying any marks/ dents prior to work. Apart from few stone chips on the bonnet, there are no bumps / scrapes as vehicle is only 2 years old. First time in 24 years of driving this has happened to me. Word of caution/warning -if using this garage-Don’t leave your vehicle unattended with them.

I have bought 4 tyres from asda tyres and got them fitted in the McConechy's Airdrie in February 2020. Once they have replaced them I got in the car and the under inflated tyre light was on(front left). I got back to the fitter and he added some air and told me that the car needs to calibrate itself and drive some distance for it to reset.
When driving home from garage my car was pulling to the left constantly and didn’t drive well. When I got home Ive seen there was not much air left so I have used compressor to top it up enough to go back to garage to check it over again. While pumping the air a bubble came up on top of the tyre and it burst. Damaging the side panel, rubber underneath and my hand - as I was trying undo the air hose. The pressure gauge was showing 1 and was still in red zone. I have contacted McConechy's and they have sent the mobile van and replaced the tyre. While changing the tyre the fitter seen there was one nut wheel missing. I went to the garage next day and the manager inspected the car further, could not find any nail in the tyre or damage apart from the blow. Ive contacted asda tyres and they told me to send form and that the tyre will be investiagted. After a lot of chasing I have found out the tyre was never sent and they claim the damage to the car couldnt happen by the tyre blow. Nobody wants to take responsibility and the cost to repair would be around 500.

Rude manager at Sighthill. Staff changed since Halfords took over. Won't be back as gone downhill

These guys took time out of their busy schedule recently to come to the aid of my friend when her car battery went flat. Well done guys, would recommend you to anyone.

I wanted to put a review up here and thank the lads that helped us on the auchindinny road this morning at 9.00am approx We got stuck on this road trying to get to work (we work for the nhs) these lovely lads pushed us up the hill and back on our way. We had been travelling to Edinburgh from peebles. We had been on route for over 2 hours most of which was spent by the side of the road trying to shovel ourselves out of the snow. Any way thank you so much for your help. I’m just sorry I never got your names to be able to thank you personally 😊

Had a slow puncture in my tyre. The garage noted they were new and on checking that I had bought them there several months previous. They found an object in my tyre and repaired it free of charge. This was all done without an appointment, without hassle and with great service and a smile 😊 Top service and exactly what a business needs in these challenging times 👏🏻👏🏻

My car was booked in for an MOT today at 4pm, staff were friendly and professional, took my vehicle straight away and completed within an hour. Thank you very much for the great service

I would like to put a big thank you to all the team at Mcconechys in Perth, not only have they helped me out and gone out of their way in more ways than one but they have been amazing. Words cannot express how much gratitude I have for them during these tough times, thank you for getting me back on the road and going out of your way in terms of customer service. It's lovely to know that I now have a trustworthy and professional garage than I can make my only choice when needing any work done.

Hi just want to say thanks so much to stuart and David at the mc conechys halfords garage in east kilbride so friendly and helpful dont no what I would of done without your help so what happend guys is a had my two kids in car and thought I was driving with a slow puncture but my tyre was worse so dangerous thanks to stuart n David takin me and my kids to get one and fit it for us we got home safe and sound would recommend them to everyone words cant really explain how happy a am with there help.

I am only giving them 1 star because they don’t have any ratings lower. Still waiting for my money to be returned since the 16th September the number they supplied for the customer service department doesn’t work and the branch don’t even know the company address or telephone number. I was angry now I’m just pissed off.

Terrible customer service and experience getting new tyres.

Brilliant service as always. Gent even helped with my seized valve caps while he was doing the other tyres for no charge. Always had the best customer experience compared to other garages in paisley.

Got 2 valves on front tyres fitted at Dock Street, Dundee. Done quickly and efficiently and wasn't ripped off. To go to dealership that car originally came from would have cost around 4 times as much.
