As a returning customer, having bought several items in the past from this company, five months ago I booked a Big Green Egg cookery class, costing £295.
Unfortunately, due to a medical issue (prolapsed discs affecting my neck and right arm…. the six hour round tip alone is impossible), I asked if I could postpone. I was met with no empathy and was simply told they’d check terms and conditions. Even when I offered proof of my condition, they reverted to policy. No clear alternative was offered; just a vague mention of reselling my spot.
For a £295 event, it’s a major commitment. Theatres offer small insurance options for much cheaper tickets,why not here? Life is unpredictable. I hope they consider this, because otherwise customers stand to lose everything.
Lastly, as a business owner, I was disappointed by the short-term thinking. I had friends ready to book if it went well. Now, I’ll never return, for classes or products (I will buy from Big Green Egg themselves or other resellers ) and so they’ve lost that future business. Customer relationships matter more than rigid policy.
Edited 18 April 11:11: the gesture of good will was received an hour after posting my review. Reactive over proactive is how I interpreted it. I failed to see it noteworthy.

Nic and Helena were super helpful in getting our big4space table delivered and assembled.We had many questions regarding the use of our Kamado Joe and they both took time to explain how to get the best from our grill. You can tell they are both extremely passionate about their products and business and we plan to follow their on-going guidance with their live cooks on instagram.
Nic’s knowledge and advice was second to none. He was very patient with my constant queries and questions. I’m incredibly happy with my BGE and can wholeheartedly recommend Meat Smoke Fire as the company to buy from.
I booked Nic to service my XL BGE, it had been leaking smoke and struggled to hold temps. Nic quickly identified the issue:. I had a warped dome, which is very rare. BGE were amazing and replaced the dome next day, the lifetime warranty means that exactly. Nic came back to install the new dome and made sure the setup was running. I've fallen in love with my BGE all over again. Highly recommend Nic & BGE

I ordered a LetzQ rotisserie as a gift for a friend which was quickly dispatched. Unfortunately the couriers lost it so I contacted Nic and he promptly arranged for delivery of a replacement rotisserie.
I cannot praise enough the Customer Service Nic has provided.

My wife booked me on the Meat Smoke Fire Cooking Class earlier this week. I had a really good time, ate some amazing food and it really inspired me to get back to the Egg.
I have ordered a Letz-Q rotisserie from Nic, a MEATER probe amd also Eggpsander system for the Big Green Egg. All of my orders were dispatched promptly and have proven to be excellent additions to my Big Green Egg cooks.
Having subscribed to the YouTube channel I am also able to try out new recipes and ideas from the weekly live cooks.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in either getting started or expanding their knowledge of what a Big Green Egg can offer.
I ordered a Letzq Rotisserie after discovering it would fit my BGE. I had already decided I would be cooking our Christmas joint on the Egg. I ordered the Letzq 21 Dec not expecting it to arrive in time. It arrived the next day! Plenty of time to set it up and try on a smaller joint before the big day.
Well done for a speedy service!

Julie came to the home and did an afternoon of cooking on the egg which was amazing as we had only used it once rior for a BBQ. Julie was good value and kept us amused plus the food was a bonus.
High point was the 'dirty steak'

Fantastic experience. Educational and fun at the same time. I learnt all the basics about using a Big Green Egg and how to cook beef, chicken, fish, puddings and bake bread.
I attended the class 1 cookery school a few days ago after watching many of Nic’s live cooks and ordering many items via his website. I found the cookery school extremely relaxed, very well organised and very informative. The whole day went so quickly. I will definitely be attending a second level class next year. Ordering stuff is such a breeze, I am kept informed throughout the process. And unless the items are in stock they won’t take your money. Such honesty these days is rare. I will be ordering all my egg requirements from Nic and have recommended him and his wife Helena to all my BBQ friends. I have also found that you can drop them an email or message for some advise on a cook and either Helena or Nic reply incredibly quickly.

Ordered and my item was delivered. Fast and hassle free. The rotisserie is ace! First cook on Sunday and it worked a treat. No more birds in the oven from now on!
