Absolutely 100% recommend, Helpful, Kind Supportive Mentors, Everything you need to know, they explain clearly. Helps you make an informed decision
I am not exaggerating when I say that the ‘Get Into Medicine Conference’ will be beneficial to you. Because it will. Not only was I able to make an informed decision on choosing Medicine as my future career. (The night before, I was stressing as I was choosing between engineering and medicine as a future career.) But the conference really helped to see a true insight into medicine.
Not only have I always been interested in medicine, but the conference also enabled me to learn things I never knew before. The Staff and Mentors were so nice and delivered the conference amazingly. They go through what makes a good personal statement, what's included in medicine, personal experiences from mentors, they talk about interviews and common questions they could ask you, and they clearly explain what's required for medicine (subjects, grades, UCAT, etc). Before the conference, I had a minimal idea what the UCAT was and I didn’t know what was expected of me.
They explained ideas so clearly, helping you to understand well. The Conference is recorded, so you won't need to rush and write notes. I decided to sign up for the Platinum Pathway Plus right after the conference. (The Platinum Pathway is a Pathway that includes Summer School Residential, UCAT Preparation, Virtual Work Experience, and Non-Stop help from mentors. And much more.) The Virtual Work Experience is especially good for those who can't find work experience locally (I had a good look at the sections, which include pretty much every aspect of medicine; I cannot wait to start it this weekend).
I can recall that I paid for the Platinum + Pathway right after the conference. That's how drawn I was into medicine. I 100% recommend joining the conference, especially if you’re unsure if medicine is right for you or not. Also, they allow you to ask questions, so if there are questions you would like to ask experienced mentors, then please don't hesitate and join. Despite my Mother being a doctor, it was nice hearing different perspectives on Medicine and the journey of mentors.
The Conference as a whole made me more passionate about medicine and gave me a goal to work towards. Knowing that I have access to mentors and resources and everything else included in the Platinum Pathway gives me a sense of relief, as Medicine is intensely competitive. Before the conference, my mind was scrambled, I was stressed because I didn't have access to anything, and I was still deciding whether medicine was right for me. But the conference helped me make the right decision. Knowing that I have this main goal to get into medical school, motivates me to do well in A levels.
I am forever grateful for the help I received, so thank you, mentors, and I can't wait to continue my academic journey with you.
