These reviews are scary

These reviews are scary.
I recently paid privately for a small operation, I paid on the day, 9/02/26 but today I have received an invoice for consultants fee from Medserv which was included in my previous payment.
I have all the proof I need but I am dealing with a serious illness and do not need any extra stress. These people need to communicate properly.

TrustPilit/Mediserve..I think the TrustPilot blurb at…

I think that the TrustPilot blurb at the beginning of the reviews is completely incorrect and misleading. It says 4/ 5 star reviews. The overall reviews on the graph do not have 4/5 reviews. The reviews are bad. TrustPilot please get upto date and factual.

Malicious incompetency

Had similar experience as with other reviewers.

Medserv repeatedly chased an alleged consultation fee despite the account being formally disputed and without providing any documentary evidence that the charge was outstanding. Instead of substantiating the invoice, they sent repetitive payment demands and referenced debt collection while the dispute was unresolved.

The issue only stopped once I asserted my legal position clearly. Poor record-keeping, poor dispute handling, and unnecessary pressure. I would advise anyone dealing with Medserv to demand written proof immediately and challenge unsupported charges.

Annoying Credit control . All for £37.10p

Chased for payment by multiple methods simultaneously although payment sent. After first call Medserv agreed to advise when payment received but failed to do so just sent another reminder. After calling back I find they had payment the day after I first spoke to them but they failed to keep me informed. More interested in sending out hasteners! I will now always check my consultant is not using Medserv.

Threats of courts and CCJ's

Sent an email threatening me with court orders and CCJs because a bill of circa £50 wasn't paid quickly enough for their liking (literally just 8 days after the payment date which they had seemingly plucked out of the sky).

It is a shame as some of the medical consultants they represent are brilliant and compassionate, a far cry from the bullying and aggressive tone that this nasty little company use.

Bad admin or bad manners, or very probably both.

I am reluctant to give these people as much as one star. My Bupa excess did not cover a Consultant’s fee, so on 29 September his secretary sent me an invoice, which I paid on the very same day. These people then sent me an invoice for the same amount on 10 October, and I sent them a copy of the Bank entry as evidence of payment on 15 October. I did not get a response. I do accept that in this IT age there will be the occasional admin hiccup, so all that was required was a short explanation and an apology. I nudged them on 25 October, asking if the absence of the courtesy of a reply reflected the quality of their admin and, of course, received no response to that message either. Employing debt-collectors of this calibre reflects badly on the Consultant – it is a real pity that this website does not offer a grading below one star.

Inaccurate information on payments made

It seems that Medserve send consultants bills to the insurer. If the insurer does not cover consultant's invoices, the insurer eventually lets the patient know. In the case of AXa Health this insurer does not forward the Medserve invoice to the patient. Instead Axa provides the patient with bank account details of the consultant's private practice.
On 5 Sept, I made payment to the consultant's private practice account for a consultation on 26 August. On 11 Sept Medserve sent me an invoice, but it went to my spam folder. On 26 Sept Medserve sent me a credit control warning, which did make it to my inbox. They said they would not mark my account as paid until they had verification from the consultant. Howeve when I rang the consultant's practice, I was told that they only make appointments and have no knowledge of the financial side of things. Moral to the story: find a consultant who does not use Medserve.

Absolutely rude unprofessional company

I received a terrible email stating that an invoice was unpaid after a week followed by threats of debt collection unbelievable!!! I am actually privately insured so called their customer service team what a rude arrogant operator I spoke to and explained the situation and of course she blamed the consultants/ secretary. The call was so rude not even good morning no good afternoon was name dob was so blunt and wasn't interested in listening to the situation at all . Don't do customer services if you aren't interested in helping customers. courtesy costs absolutely nothing. I will be addressing this with my consultant!!!

Rubbish patient paynent website

I tried to make a payment with a Tesco Mastercard and after the last continue got the Windows error message "www medserv co uk unexpectedly closed the connection". I checked wth Mastercard and by email to Medserv to see if the payment had been made and it had not so I tried again later with a Halifax Visa card and got the same error message. However on checking the Visa account found that the payment had been made and I also got a confirmatiom email from Medserv.

When making any other payment online I always get some kind of online confirmation immediately whether it is simply the word Done or more usually Thanks for your payment and don't expect a Windows error message. So the Medserv service is good, thanks Busani, but the website is rubbish.
