The letter you got referred to a general situation where packages are lost in transit, it does not refer to stolen mail from your mailbox.
When an order we ship is lost in transit, we usually resend the order to the customer and then issue a claim with the USPS, who has the ultimate responsibility, since they are the ones who lost the package, not us.
However, in your case, the order was delivered to your mailbox. The same mailbox that you admit “has been broken into periodically. “ So we’re not sure why do you assume it is our responsibility to pay for the stolen item when you knew your mailbox was not secured and did nothing about it? You are the one who neglected to secure the box, so why do you think we have to pay for it? You should file a report with the police, and claim the loss with your insurance company.
Furthermore, please refer to our Shipping Policy posted on our website: “An order is considered delivered and complete when the order is confirmed by the carrier as “Delivered.”
Based on all the above, we have no obligation to refund or reship your order; however, as a gesture, we would agree to reship your order (which you’ll have to sign for upon delivery).

I still haven't received it. I got an email from USPS that parcel is held by customs (that was 3 weeks ago) and that was not true. After looking for my parcel I found it on at post and I had to pay import duties and only now it is going to customs. USPS is very bad choice of delivery company. I won't order it any more.
