Bad Haircuts
Actually hate my haircut. Again, i've been to Menspire twice and both times was really bad.

I had a haircut at st.albans academy today by Luke. He did a top job, absolutely superb under the guidance of Chelle.
Can only recommend them.
Thank you for a great job.

Excellent cut. Very happy with the attention to detail and competent stylist. Will definitely be back for my next haircut
Mo the barber was very good, professional and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and also my beard and at such a good price of £35 can’t go wrong. Really top barber and skillful 💇
I was a customer since Menspire originally opened and was always impressed by their dedication to their craft and custom service. However, prices have become absurd and they seem to have just raised them without any sort of consideration. Mine went from £35 to £50 over the space of just over 12 months. They do provide a good haircut but £50 for a standard men's haircut is absurd.
Nosediving quality and emerging arrogance - this is how I'd sum up Menspire.
I have been a customer of Menspire for many years now, at multiple locations i.e. Radlett, St Albans, Watford, and am truly baffled by how the culture and quality of the shops is declining.
Now you may be wondering, if I disapprove of the haircuts so much why am I still a regular of their "salons"? Well the answer is I'm stupid, but DO NOT make the same mistake as me.
Let me start with the behaviour of the barbers themselves. Generally speaking they are (relatively) knowledgeable (which I'd hope considering how they only give you a 30 minute haircut to maximise profits), but are definitely not customer-focused. Usually they are watching the TV during the haircuts, start chatting with each other, go on their phones during the haircut, or wander off to see what someone else is doing which is not only extremely unprofessional, but distracts the barber and removes continuity of the haircut which is not a nice feeling, and is usually detrimental to the haircut.
Funnily enough, it's usually the "senior stylists" who charge the most, and cut the worst. I suppose they feel like they have nothing to prove, and when charging £30-£40 per haircut I can see why they might feel this way. In the past I've even had a barber tell me that he is getting a bit too big for his boots, and is "arrogant" yet gave me a terrible haircut which I found laughable (but damning for my wallet).
Menspire Academy presents itself as a way for young aspiring barbers to rise through the ranks but being surrounded by the culture I've described above will just make them follow in the same footsteps, and leave a stain on this industry that has only just made a resurgence.
The whole business needs a complete culture shift - the focus should be on the customers and only the customers. I want to feel like my money has gone to a barber who actually cares about giving me the best haircut, while tailoring it to my specific needs, instead of wanting to get as many haircuts done in one day as possible.
I don't write this scathing review lightly, but it gets to a point where something needs to be done. I will also be leaving this review on google. If Menspire want to reach out for further clarification they can do that, but I think management will know exactly what I'm talking about.
Quality over quantity is NOT a key tenet of Menspire, flip it and that's what this business is about. In its current state, avoid at all costs.
