This site steals people's time with fabricated information. The information it recommends for the high -volume business model and the service providers have nothing to do with the issue. With the advice, I applied to a provider that he said best, but with the answer, I saw that they did not meet the high -volume business model. For this reason, the recommendations of this site are only a waste of time.

Merchant Maverick scores Electronic Merchant Systems very low which is legit but on their same platform they push Payment Cloud as highly recommended. EMS and Payment Cloud are the same entity. Running on a fresh look of Payment Cloud to fool the consumer. 45.00 chargeback fees produced by their own employees. Theft of funds, Erroneous holds and a 600.00 cancellation fee once you reach that marker in sales. Their own employees stole customer bank accounts and money in the millions. They will hopefully be looking at some serious time. Dont believe me? Go look up Electronic Merchant Systems on the BBB and lawsuits. Merchant Mavericks is obviously giving poorly researched reviews. And only in it for a referral fee. Because of this funnel you are costing many people their livelyhoods. Or let me guess.. Your with EMS too. My Duh..

Thank you for the feedback, White Hat Charlie. You're certainly correct that Payment Cloud is now an EMS company; they were purchased last year. Although I believe that despite the acquisition, Payment Cloud still functions and operates as a separate entity with its processes/procedures, I will ensure that our editorial team keeps a watchful eye on their development.
To your point about chargeback fees, early termination fees, and withholding of funds, I'm curious: do you operate in a high-risk industry? If so, do you mind telling me what industry? Higher-risk businesses tend to have less favorable terms to hedge against that risk. Even before the EMS acquisition, Payment Cloud has had different terms and pricing for high-risk accounts; which is standard practice in the industry.
I'm happy to continue the discussion.

Looks like Merchant Maverick is not that "unbiased" as they state. There are many complaints about unreasonably low review ratings here on TrustPilot and other websites. It seems like they play with review ratings depending on how much they get paid by the reviewed software competitors.
For example. There's a CS-Cart review published on Merchant Maverick.
If you read the review, it is mostly a good review but the overall rating is very low. The rating of 2.5 disagrees with the content and the mood of the review. Seems like someone paid them to lower the rating.
We've tried to contact Merchant Maverick multiple times to discuss the CS-Cart review, update it, correct some facts and inaccuracies. They never replied. I think that's because their reviews are sponsored by competitors.

Our target audience is small business owners who still might be concerned with the issues addressed in the review, namely: fees, a lack of customer support, and a lack of integrations.

Historically, since we are based in the U.S., most of our research tends to be on offerings available in the U.S.. That said, we have been working hard on growing our Canadian content and have just recently published a few new articles that may be more in line with what you are hoping to see more of. Also, you may have tried this, but we do have a search bar on our site which should populate several pages of content specific to small businesses in Canada, though we know it can be difficult to decipher sometimes. Either way, you are absolutely correct--We have far less Canadian content, and we appreciate you calling it out. We hear you!
