Appalling service
Bought a double sofa bed from Debenhams, which actually came from MHStar, definitely wasn’t a double when arrived.Arranged a return which failed twice even though they told Debenhams they had received my return.I sent photographic evidence it was still sat in my conservatory awaiting pick up!!!
It’s now been nearly 6 wks and still haven’t received my refund ???
Why are Debenhams still using this company it is not doing their reputation any good whatsoever

Debenhams should stop selling MH Star products
Brought an air fryer from Debenhams website. But Debenhams pass the buck to HM Star as they supplied the product. Followed instructions and product started to buzz and burn. Fan is dead. Tried to return but no phone number and no reply to emails….

Ordered an electric scooter on debenhams website for my sons birthday. This was sent from 3rd party (mh star) scooter is faulty and not to mention DANGEROUS. Handle bar will not screw on properly.
The back and forth emails with debenhams in the middle is beyond a joke it is taking up to a week to receive a response.
Initially i requested a spare part which was completely ignored. Ive been offered a measily 15% discount to keep the faulty scooter. Of course i rejected this offer and have been offered 75% to keep. All i want is a replacement or a refund ???!!!

Ordered garden furniture through B&Q thinking I could at least trust them to deliver in time. Turns out that the furniture is coming through a verified seller, did not realise B&Q were acting as a middle man! The link to the seller doesn’t work and seem to have no way to deal with them directly. The item is currently almost a week overdue for delivery, the courier have 1 parcel out of the 3 so are holding that until this company has the other 2 parts of the package. B&Q are no help as they have to put it to their marketplace team who have still not even acknowledged the issue since my first complaint 3 days ago. I have asked for a refund which only MH Star can process but they are not even able to contact so I’m left in limbo, no furniture and over a thousand pound out of pocket! Absolute waste of time and just wish I’d read other reviews here before I trusted even using B&Q. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Absolute shambles of a company
Absolute shambles of a company! They own outsunny products. But wouldn’t help me source the runners as mine went missing. Told me to contact mhstar who couldn’t help me either!! Why make products if you can’t/wont help with spares!! I’ve currently got an expensive shell of a gazebo with no canopy on it at the moment!!!

Poor quality/faulty goods and refusal to remove items and provide refund
I have purchased a garden furniture set from B&Q who use MH Star UK as a third party supplier and the items are faulty and poor quality. It has been three weeks now and they initially refused to engage with me at all and then when I contacted my credit card company they have started to reply but are not listening at all to the fact that I want to get rid of the faulty/poor quality items and get a refund. This company should not be allowed to trade and companies like B&Q should stop selling their shoddy goods.

Zero stars! My son ordered 2x 6 seater wooden picnic tables and we got boxes of fire wood! Condition is appalling, customer service is dreadful. They asked for pictures which we sent and still they are refusing a refund. My son is losing cutome because he has no outside seating. We are seeking legal advice we're not going away MH star! And advice on how to make the company better?? Close the dam thing down and stop ripping people off!!

This most certainly would of been a zero star if possible, they give a delivery date to get you to buy, then arriving 5 days later, after I sat on a site from 9am until 6pm I contacted amazon, they said that they had spoke to the company and assured me it would be delivered by 8pm, still sat and waited, 8.01pm received a text message stating there was a problem with the delivery and would be delighted at a later date, they advertised on amazon for fast delivery, BUT that's all they do advertising to get you to buy, they have not even had the ordasity to get in touch after I told them to return my money, they just sent it at a later date, which by then was zero good as I'd already purchased another, I would definitely NOT recommend this company, I can't see how a company like amazon would actually deal with this company after reading all the complaints, STAY WELL CLEAR.

This is a dreadful company why are they still allowed to trade on Amazon knew as soon as I saw they were involved should not have ordered guess what? The item I should have had delivered yesterday is not arriving until Wednesday thanks a lot was a Mother’s Day gift. Last time with them ordered sunlounger arrived was the most awful thing had to pay to return and still didn’t get my money back complete rogue traders

My personal experience was tip top.
I bought an electric heater from MHStar via B&Q. I really can't complain. The parcel arrived quickly but it was clear on opening that the heater was damaged (the packaging was intact) I contacted them via my B&Q account and they responded the following day. I was offered 20% refund to keep the item but I refused due to there being more damage than I first realised because I never unpacked it fully. I updated them of the further damage and refused the 20% because I wasn't sure if the heating element could have been damaged and if it was safe. They responded promptly again and offered to refund or replace. I opted for a replacement and it arrived the following day. They told me to keep the first heater either for parts or dispose of it.
I'm surprised to read the poor reviews because my experience was tip top. Fast responses and no messing around. Each message offered a helpful, clear solution. Maybe the contact via B&Q is better than via other sites but I'd use them again, without a doubt. I believe it was Abdullah who was responding to my messages so thank you again! 👍🙂
Awful company
Awful company! Ordered through Amazon and was lied to from the start. I was told by MHStar the Package was lost, it was never dispatched to the parcel company and still showing “awaiting package to arrive with them”, I have confirmation from DHL stating this. Second Package never arrived as they decided to cancel the order. Time wasters and dishonest with us. Be aware!

Bought a outsunny 2.7 parasol from them via the range looked good online, took it out the packaging and its terrible quality if I could add pics I would bits of cotton hanging everywhere the ribs are not lined up properly, the top vent bit doesn't sit right either and the material is cheap spend a few more pounds and buy a vonhause parasol wish id just stayed with them excellent quality.... I can't see this outsunny from mh star lasting long.. they did offer me £10 to keep it or stay home all day and they would collect it ,I dont have time for that. When I buy online I normally do click and collect.

Bought a ceiling light unbeknownst to me from MH star. Having an absolute nightmare contacting them to return it… seem to either get automated response or incompetent member of staff who can’t read. After 2 weeks of trying I remain unable to return the item as of the above. I will never buy using this company again. They are incompetent and uncontactable.

My poor boy just wanted a drawing desk and now I have to wait for this one to be returned before I order him something from somewhere else. The price has now gone back up to £122 and I certainly wouldn’t be paying that for a desk

Best company I’ve ever dealt with for customer service. I bought a pet gate from Debenhams and the measurements on the website were slightly off, so it didn’t end up fitting in the space I had measured it for. I contacted the company and they got back to me the same day offering a return or to keep the item with 10% off. I decided to return as I decided to purchase the bigger gate to fit in my space.
The company responded saying they will give me a full refund so that I could then purchase the 2nd gate that will fit in my space.
I’ve never dealt with a company like this, it’s usually such a headache to sort out refunds or queries. I definitely recommend!
The product was also really nice and well made/good quality, hence why I wanted to purchase the bigger version from the same company.
