Absolutely avoid like wildfire

Absolutely avoid like wildfire, bought a surface pro 2 yrs ago for £1200, it’s a few months out of warranty and the battery completely dies, won’t switch on at all. After spending 4 hours trying to get through to someone on the phone, I was told I would have to pay for them to replace it. This is clearly a hardware issue, and I do not feel I have been unreasonable to expect a £1200 device to last more than 2 years. I have attempted to lodge a complaint and have been completely ignored, no response received to several emails over the last few weeks and no one has even been able to give me details on their complaints process. Save yourself the hassle and buy a mac!

xbox warranty - don't get stung like me

got an Xbox elite 2 controller for my son, i purchased the complete 3 year warranty at the same time - the controller developed a faulty button and was replaced under this warranty - the replacement developed the same fault about six months later so i went to claim under my 3 year warranty - turns out only 1 claim allowed then extended warranty is void - wow - don't get stung like me!

Always get a fair

Always get a fair, competitive price and always receive a high quality item. Microsoft has a firm grip on what made them successful and unlike other company’s they don’t sell out for a easy buck. I hope they keep that sense of passion they have towards all the genres of the hardware and software market.

Disgusted and let down

I only gave one star, so I could leave a review. The staff are incompetent, unreliable, unknowledgeable and have no idea of what is going on. They just push you from pillar to post, to get rid of you. After being on the chat line numerous times, being told a different story every time and that I will get a call from a Level 2 Operator. Haaa what a joke!! I am still waiting.... Microsoft, I have one account, yet you have debited me twice. I sent all the proof and they still have no idea of how to deal with it. Basically you should just give a refund. Don't think Microsoft know how to do this. This is disgraceful for a Company with such financial means.

XBOX series X is amazing

The Xbox Series X doesn’t win on launch exclusives, but when it comes to features it is an amazing bit of kit, with highlights including Quick Resume, Smart Delivery and Xbox Game Pass. These are all elements that will define Xbox for years to come, and usher in a new era of gaming with spectacular style.

Bought a photographic software download…

Bought a photographic software download on Microsoft Store, sent me a download link that went to a dead page. Now the problems start:
I call what they laughably call Customer Service and speak to someone in India with poor English. "have to put you through to Windows10 help" she says. Not Windows 10 problem I say but by then I am listening to hold music; 30 minutes later I am cut off.
Call again. India again with what sounds like someone in the background using an angle grinder. Put on hold and cut off after 10 minutes.
Call again four more times and each time on hold exactly the same 30 minutes and then cut off, I gave up. Have spent 3 hours of my precious time on a thoroughly useless and failed system. It's such a sad and bad thing when you decide to spend some hard earned cash on something that you want and then dearly wish that you hadn't. How did Microsoft become one of the largest companies on the planet?

There is no customer support atall

There is no customer support atall !!!!!! I have been trying 11 days to try and contact someone for a warranty repair because the website is broken and has been for the previous 11 days . Just avoid anything to do with them . Never seen anything like it worse customer service I have ever seen . Had to report to trading standards and it’s now looking like I am going to have to make a small claim in order to get the money I paid for the Xbox back . Even the product is as bad as the customer service .

No loyalty to customers

This company has absolutely no loyalty to customers. I have been buying Surface tablets from them for years. I tried buying the new Pro 8 online n they branded my account as suspicious. They refuse to speak to me and told me they will no longer interact with my account. They have disrespected my reputation and I feel violated by the way they have spoken to me. I have never come across such awful customer service. I would never deal with them again. SHAME ON YOU

Absolutely worse service ever

Absolutely worse service ever. I was working on documents and suddenly excel stopped working and now lost ours of ours of work. can't get the so called support as the staff on chats are awful haven't got a clue what they are talking about.
can't speak to a human either. such a bad company. people need to stop using Microsoft and use alternatives instead.

Do NOT buy Surface Pro X you will regret it!!

Bought a Surface Pro X from another vendor, so I bought their signature keyboard and slim pencil, for my Surface Pro X, (cost £259.00)and it worked fine on Windows 10. About 3 months ago, the keyboard was not recognised and did not work, so I tried all the methods I could in cleaning the ports, doing a complete reinstall of Windows 10 and Windows 11, still no luck. Phoned up Microsoft support ( no English support for England, has Microsoft abandoned England, and employing slave labour these days, not once was I speaking to an English speaking person, dreadful?), went through all the steps, still nothing. The keyboard was out of warranty, and they had the cheek, to say they would send me a refurbished on at a cost of £143.00(rip-off), as to buy a keyboard a new keyboard, is £159.00, from most vendors and Microsoft. Microsoft competition is Apple, Samsung and Huawei, their tablets work, whether with a keyboard/pencil combination, I just don't get how Microsoft cannot figure out what is gone wrong, was this a Windows update problem, which wiped out the Surface Type Cover driver? Because Microsoft could NOT care less, about the consequences, and cannot supply the appropriate drivers for this device, they can with other Surface devices?? I have always had problems with their products, and never again, I'm selling the device and binning the keyboard, I will never buy Microsoft products again, and neither should you, stick with Apple, Samsung, Huawei, they work, unlike Microsoft, they are a joke company, who are slowly going down the toilet, where they belong.

My Xbox account was hacked.

My Xbox account was hacked into and when I asked for help from themselves I was told that I should help myself. After I finally got my account back I was greeted with a communication ban. I then proceeded to call Microsoft support to try and help resolve this and I was told that it was my own fault and next time have a stronger password. I think that the customer service that I received was disgusting.

Down to the bottom of the barrel

Microsoft are famous for new multiple bugs in Windows when they update. I have used their Windows software before XP and associated Office software. You used to be able to speak to support staff when the Microsoft crapware triggered, now you cannot. They used to decide that you needed to reactivate software if you made a few hardware upgrades. Today my Office 2013 full licensed version decided that I had made a hardware change and therefore it needed to be reactivated. Reactivation was not allowed online (too many reactivations!) and the telephone activation is no longer supported! My hardware change involved swapping my USB adapter for another a few times to check performance difference. The computer was of course not even opened. Next step when you insert a USB drive or storage device = hardware change!!!??? Utter crap company with a monopoly.

Microsoft will not listen.

For the last few weeks I have been pestered by Microsoft on a daily basis to switch from Windows10 for Windows 11.
I have e mailed Microsoft to stop but all they can advise is that if I don't like it then I can restore to Windows 10. This smacks of big brother & I am not accepting it. Does anyone have the phone number of Microsoft UK so I can speak to a human being.

Would actually call this one of the worst experiences of purchasing I’ve ever had in my life , paid £600 for a series x from currys , it came , it wouldn’t launch any games, Microsoft confirmed a hardware issue , and requested I sent it to them , they sent me a returns label , never mentioned not to send any accessories or boxes , I posted , a day later then sent a email saying don’t send the accessories, was a little late by that point . Received the Xbox back in a terrible brown box with no padding around it . Contacted Microsoft regarding this and they took liability and said they would send everything missing back out .. never received it so contacted again , then they were saying they never received the box and accessories ect which really made me mad . And said they won’t send them out . So now I have a £600 house brick sat doing nothing and I can’t even return it to currys due to packaging and accessories missing !!! Absolute joke of a company who charge £500 for consoles !!!! Stick to PS people !!

After over a year of transferring my…

After over a year of transferring my content (Years of family Photos, Business templates, tax details and every document I own from my local NAS and various WD drives to Onedrive I get a notice from MS to say they have blocked my account. Clearly, my account was hacked but MS have never responded to my questions of why and when can I get my data back. All of my data taken from me for trusting Office 365's pledge of being the best solution to secure our data and keeping it safe for ever......NO answers, impossible to speak to anyone with any management responsibility. Just told there is a security team that nobody in MS can contact decided to steal my life's data.....KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEIR PROMISES OF SAFEGUARDING YOUR DATA. So disappointed after being a customer for over 30 years.

I tried to contact them to stop…

I tried to contact them to stop automatic renewal and I couldn’t get through. I tried numerous times and then eventually tried the automatic ‘chat’. I still couldn’t get an answer so I ended up having to pay for another year!!

Following renewal (I couldn’t find a way to get my money back, even a couple of days after the package was renewed) I eventually managed to cancel renewal for January 2022 (at least I hope I did!) but it was really confusing and frustrating. I felt as if they didn’t want me to be able to cancel.

Would have given 0 stars if available. Customer service and support is absolutely hopeless. Eventually got to a chat online with an 'expert' who was absolutely useless. Problem NOT resolved and still causing serious concern. The 'support' is now completely online with no one to talk to. Completely disillusioned and frustrated with the lack of support!
