A REAL disappointment

A REAL disappointment. Customer "service" has stopped responding, there are bugs that are being "actively investigated" and never fixed (and - you guessed it - upon enquiry nobody responds anymore; and no, when I pay for a subscription, I do NOT want to rummage through Discord for a "community answer" - what is this - a software development gig??), and the flow is generally way worse than I had hoped. It's a great idea, but there are miles between what they say it is and what it really is. The devil is in the details. I have also noticed that they are now teaming up with a lot of content creators who are flogging subscriptions; I can only guess they're trying to hail-mary it at this point.

Hi Ric, sorry to hear about your experience. We do have dedicated support staff who respond to enquiries, and many members of our developer team are active on our community Discord where we triage issue reports and discuss suggestions and improvements. We release updates for both our extension and mobile apps every week or so, which include a mixture of fixes and features.

Sometimes we miss the mark, and a powerful product suite like ours which is on the bleeding edge can be prone to issues. However we are diligently improving things, regularly fix issues, and routinely interact directly with our users. We have thousands of users who can attest to the steady development and improvement of our powerful product suite.

As for marketing, we have a team separate from our growing developer team who have been teaming up with content creators to share Migaku with the world. We also have a free trial available for new users to try out our software before making any purchase, as well as a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Very disappointing – unstable And buggy app

I paid €250 for the Lifetime version and I truly regret it. The app is full of bugs and feels unreliable. Recently, the YouTube integration on iOS devices stopped working – it took quite a while to fix. But as soon as that issue was resolved, the next one appeared: subtitles no longer show up.

I contacted support and was told a fix is on the way. But what good is that to me right now? I paid for a fully working product, not a buggy beta version.

Under these circumstances, it’s impossible to have an immersive experience. Very disappointing – for this price, I expected a much higher level of quality.

Hello Souhail! Sometime our integration with third-party websites such as YouTube and Netflix can be broken when they make changes on their end. We actively monitor this and prioritise fixing those issues when they come up, with patches usually released within a few days. We also have a notification system in both the extension and mobile apps where we can notify users when issues arise so they know what's up and that we're working on a fix. This happens from time to time, but it's not the status quo :)

If you haven't already reported your issue with subtitle visibility, please let us know (it may have been fixed already)! You can report via migaku.com/feedback or on our community Discord server. We regularly publish new updates with features and fixes for both our desktop extension and mobile apps, every other week or so.
