Where can I start…. Millie summers travel is the best African travel agent you can find. She has so much experience as she use to work there full time and now goes every year to constantly check out undiscovered places for her clients to go. Therefore everywhere on our itinerary was amazing, service top notch and also worked with our budget. She was soo much cheaper than big highstreet names and all gave us way better value for money. The trip was incredible and I have recommended her to a few of my newly engaged friends for their honeymoon already! We also had a bit of a nightmare on the trip home with a cancelled flight and she was on the phone straight away sorting the problem out/keeping us calm and there is no way we would of made our long haul flight without her. We just want to go on our next one already - Millie we owe you big time!

Millie organised the most amazing family trip for our family and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Every detail was thought through, from the beautiful lodge on a coffee plantation in Arusha where we started (the perfect spot to unwind after a long flight), to the stunning safari camps across Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.

Each place we stayed felt special in its own way with gorgeous views, lovely staff, and such a warm welcome everywhere we went. We saw every animal we’d hoped for and more, and my mum’s surprise birthday celebration in the crater was beyond anything we expected.

Millie really knows Tanzania and created something unforgettable for us. I’d plan another trip with her in a heartbeat and would recommend her to anyone wanting to go on Safari!

Millie’s knowledge of Tanzania, its parks, wildlife and accomodation made it a wonderful experience from our first What’s App conversation to the last day of our family trip! We saw every animal we were hoping to see plus more!

I was celebrating a special decade birthday and had some family coming from the UK and some from Aus with me.
After listening to my “wish list” she curated the most wonderful experience with a 2 night stay at a Lodge on a coffee plantation in Arusha to get over our long flight time, before we set off on a 9 day safari with 3 days in each area … Tarangire park, Ngorongoro Crater (with a trip to the Olduvai Gorge and private Maasai Boma visit) and finally a short flight to the Serengeti, before another short flight back to Arusha and a night back at the same Lodge.

The accomodation was absolutely beautiful and the guides and staff at the Lodge/camps were so helpful and welcoming.

Millie made sure my birthday was something the 5 of us will never forget, with breakfast in the crater, so many animal sightings, a spectacular lunch overlooking the crater under canvas, a sundowners experience and a Swahili feast followed by a lively celebration with all the staff and my family dancing and singing around the dining area!

We were lucky to be upgraded at one of our camps and I am sure it was Millie’s close relationship with the local company that prompted this!

Millie put together a fantastic travel experience in Kenya for my family and me. In terms of planning, her deep knowledge of the Kenyan lodging and tourism landscape allowed her to present a range of options which she then tailored to our specific travel needs.

On the ground, we had a seamless experience with support from the exit door of the airplane in Nairobi, all the way to our return back home two weeks later.

Having just returned from Tanzania on a trip organised by Millie Summers, I can honestly say it was a trip of a lifetime. From the moment that Millie was engaged she took time to understand exactly what we wanted such as travel time, cost, accommodation, food and daily itinerary.
Everything worked seamlessly from airport transfers to the choice of lodge and beach resort.

Millie took us to Sands River Lodge in the Selous Game Reserve (we saw no other vehicles while on drives, even those from the same camp) and followed this with a week at the Manta Resort on Pemba Island.

Both places felt like we were staying with family while having a wonderful understated feel of luxury.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Millie to anyone who wishes to explore Africa and will definitely be asking Millie to organise a future trip.

We have just returned from a holiday which Millie Summers Travel oraganised! The whole experience was nothing short of outstanding. Meticulous organising by Millie Summers herself meant the two week holiday to Kenya was the trip of a lifetime. Wonderful lodges and hotels, faultless connections meaning we were met and looked after having flown to several different locations. Millie left no stone unturned, allowing us to sit back and enjoy the entire two weeks. Not one single hitch from beginning to end. I will definitely be using Millie Summers Travel for our next trip!

Millie organised the most perfect family holiday we have ever been on. From the first moment in the Mara we were all totally awe struck, our camp was beautiful, the people and service was beyond our expectations. We saw some of the most amazing wildlife, the great migration, big cats, our guides were so knowledgeable and kind and patient. We wanted for nothing. Millie made it all so seamless and it ran like Swiss train, no hitches, no delays and everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces. We will be back.

Millie arranged a painting holiday for a group of us with Hazel Soan, the artist. We went to Soroi Larsen's Camp in Samburu, Kenya in March 2025. Millie was brilliant on the trip, going out of her way to make sure that all our needs and requests were met, and that the holiday went smoothly. All the arrangements from hotels in Nairobi to the flights to and from Samburu to the accommodation in the game park were so thoughtfully done. Millie also arranged a side trip for me to the Kenya coast, which was fabulous. I will definitely be using Millie again for my next trip to Africa. I went on a painting safari in Kenya in March 2025 (with the artist Hazel Soan) . Millie Summers organized the trip and acted as tour manager. Her attention to detail was excellent both before and during the holiday. If you plan a trip to Africa have a look at the arrangements she can make for you.

We highly recommend Millie Summers for your far-flung family adventure. She listened and curated a bespoke family experience for us in two locations in Kenya, complete with a private house, a helicopter ride to an elephant orphanage, charter flights, horse rides, bush meals, and of course the many memorable sundowners. Above all, she provides peace of mind knowing that you are in safe hands at all times.

When my mom died, I made an impulsive decision to book an African safari by myself. Honestly, if it was a generic big company kind of thing, I never would have done it because I would want to do tons of research and the opportunity would have passed. Because this particular small group trip was organized by Millie Summers Travel, I was able to work directly with Millie and have all my questions answered and feel like I was in the right hands. Every detail was taken care of impeccably and I felt safe and well-cared for every step of the way. I would 100% turn to Millie again and recommend her company whole-heartedly.

Attention to detail and a really knowledgable appreciation of matching people to places in Kenya.The venue ticked all the boxes, good guides, excellent food seamless transfers via Nairobi. We could not have done this ourselves.

Millie Summers organized a safari to the Samburu Reserve in Kenya for a group of twelve watercolorists so well, there were no problems of any kind with the many logistics that she did not fix immediately, often without us even knowing it!! She is friendly, flexible, fun, highly professional, and so accommodating. I have already recommended her to another painting teacher, so sure that upcoming trip will be just as easy & pleasant for us participant.

Millie organised the most wonderful trip for our family of four for two weeks this past December in Kenya. She understood our brief and gave us a good range of options all of which were fantastic. What we would up with was purely magical.
She has that unusual combination of deep and wide knowledge in Kenya and across the region and clearly knows the 'right' people. She also just gets stuff done. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness in the run up through to landing back home were excellent. The tech and info provided were really helpful she was at hand if we had any additional requests. We cannot recommend her enough for helping to create a most memorable experience!

So lucky to have Millie’s help with our recent holiday in the Maldives - from selecting the hotel to finessing all the final arrangements Millie made it all so easy!
