Very clear, simple and completely understandable review of Grade One aural.

The courses are well-structured, and you can replay any section to refresh what you have learned. I joined Maestros and really enjoy interacting with Gareth, Alex and our community of composers (of all levels from beginners to experienced) from around the world. We listen to and give positive criticism and comments on each others' pieces. There is always a great variety of styles from brass band to orchestral pieces, ensemble works to songs. We all value Gareth's comments and analysis ... and even his jokes!

Before discovering MusicMatters some four years ago and becoming a MusicMatters Maestro (level 3) two years ago, I had always had a hard time with core aspects of composing -- like modulating, which, with Gareth's always supporting guidance and crystal-clear explanations, looks so simple now, even in its most adventurous forms. And I'm still learning from his vast experience! Thank you so much!

The maestro webinars and online video material are all incredibly informative and excellent value. Gareth and Alex are very responsive to follow-up questions too.

The courses offered by Music Matters are professionally presented and highly informative. Even those who initally profess to have only a slight interest in music theory and performance will find the courses highly stimulating and interesting. As somebody who has completed several of these courses, I cannot begin to put into words how grateful I am to the team at Music Matters for the knowledge I have gained, and the hours of enjoyment I have spent in studying their content.

Gareth is one of the best music theory teachers around. His lessons are clear and well-organized. And he delivers his content with a delightful dash of humor.
