Always use asda for my travel insurance. There competitively priced and the web site is easy to use. Should you need to contact them direct the customer collegues are always friendly and helpful.

In short they aka asda money aka asda travel, just gave a false report to the Financial Ombudsman to cover the company's back. Fact not fiction. So as for user experience ---- score.
As for service ------- score.
As for the application well that needs so major work doing to it.

Absolutely shocking how credits and payments take so long we are talking maybe a week in some cases they operate a 40 hr week monday to friday ! Going to pay off never to return shocking card !!!
We are still waiting for our insurance settlement 5 months after our accident. No one will answer our emails and the last message was that they are working on our claim and everything in order and should not take much longer....that was 3 months ago. The service started off very well whilst my husband was in hospital but as soon as we got home and it was passed to an intermediate.

Absolutely dreadful. I applied for a loan through Asda Money. I was accepted by Novuna loans, no problems with them
This was in February 2026 and Asda promised a £30 rewards payment into my account 60 days after completion and acceptance of application. It’s now July and there is no sign of the £30. I started my complaint in April with Asda Rewards and Asda Money. I’ve sent emails, messages and made many phone calls. I have kept copies and dates of everything. The replies have been different every time. “It’s been completed and will be paid in a few weeks. They thought they had paid it. It is being looked into. I can’t give you the Chief Executive Officer of Asda’s email (I found it online!) Trust me I know this has been going on for so long. Trust me I understand how you feel! “ July 5th and still no payment
On another issue, I also took out an Asda Credit card at 29.9%. I used it and made regular payments, often before the due date. In March this year , the interest rate rose to 40%. When queried, JaJa the card company said they had sent an email informing of the increase in December 2025. As above, I keep everything and they hadn’t. A few weeks later I did receive an email saying the interest rate was going up to 49.6% to keep in line with the current economy! Card now paid off and cancelled. You’d be better off going to a backstreet loan shark!!!
My advice to anyone would be STAY AWAY and don’t use Asda Money.

Stay away, they froze my account for fraud when the balance was £0 and I hadn’t used the card in over three weeks so no reason any fraud would have happened. I was stranded out in Greece thinking I had £2500 on my Asda credit card. When I rang them they said there was nothing they could do so I shut the account. Worst credit card service on the market. Stay away!!!!!
I had an Asda credit card and intended to use it abroad in Thailand. When I was in Thailand I tried logging into the app and it wouldn’t let me. They had flagged my account for fraud even though the balance was zero and I hadn’t used it in over one month. The card wasn’t usable one month later so I shut the account and told them how useless they are. Never experienced anything like it so best stay away from Asda credit card, leave them to concentrate on their food stores……..

Anyhow never had too many issues with subs, which you can usually tick off to prevent online anyways. All round 10 out of 10 from myself.

Easy to use site & cover that seems to provide everything we need. Great that they also cover older people as my husband is now 72 and have found many companies won't cover him.

I was advised to get my travel money on a card by the assistant in store.
The few days later I received a text message advising me I had 2 cards. I only had one! This caused me extreme anxiety that I had been scammed.
I went back to the store, the assistant advised there could have been someone with the same name. Didn't have any further advice for me and couldn't put my mind at rest. I decided to return the card and get the travel currency. I was advised that couldn't be done. The refund had to be in UK currency.
This action cost me £50. !!!! I can understand that travel currency fluctuates. But the charge for this action is extremely expensive. Especially since it was as the result of a text message from the company.
I will never buy holiday currency from Asda again and will advise friends and family the same.
The assistant couldn't help with any solution at all. Although he did persuade me to put my money on a card in the first place. I have tried to contact Asda money direct, unsuccessfully!
A very expensive lesson learned. I'll stick to the bank in future and definitely stay away from Asda.
