If your preschool is using Lifetouch…
If your preschool is using Lifetouch for school photography, be warned. My son’s daycare/preschool used them for picture day. There were 2 days scheduled to catch all the kids. The photographers just totally no-showed day 2. No call. No reschedule. And the center has been unable to reach them. Half the school just never got photographed. Meanwhile, my son (who was successfully photographed), had 4 pictures included in his portfolio. 3 are great. One looks like a mugshot. I went through the whole m song and dance and ordered his photos (not the bad one obviously) and was most excited for the class composites photo because this is his first year in school and he loves his class and his classmates so much. To my great surprise, when the photos get delivered, I open the packet to find headshots of 7 beautiful smiling kids, and 1 mugshot of my son. He is the only little black child in the class and the only one without an adorable smiling photo. I have been going back and forth with them for weeks about reprinting the class photo with the correct photo and redistributing it to his classmates. Today they officially informed me that they will not be doing that. They have some excuse for why it can’t be done, which in my mind is nonsense. I would not use this company again if they can’t use basic common sense in the way they handle picture day. Ridiculous.

This company takes FOREVER
This company takes FOREVER to send you your photos!! The website says it takes two weeks to ship to your school/daycare and it is all lies. This is 4 weeks waiting for ONE kids photo. There is no reason why it should take this long. I had my wedding photos processed in the matter of DAYS!! Walgreens prints photos in 1 hour! Also, the prices are so high! I wish you could do a more customizable packet of photos! Who knows if I will even get the holiday photo in time to send out for the holidays!

If I could leave a negative 1 star review I would. My son had sports photos done at his middle school today. The package prices to have these photos is just ridiculously high and no options under $45 which is steep. Needless to say, I paid to have the 8x10 Sportsmate individual photo taken. Instead the photographer didn't have a list of which students were taking individual photos, and instead my son had a team photo taken and no individual photo. There are no make-up days for this, so he now misses out on having an individual photo in his basketball uniform. Just Unbelievable!! I honestly do not know who they hire to take these photos but there needs to be more organization on their part. Students have no idea what packages the parents paid for and they shouldn't. I even did this online to avoid having my son be responsible for what photos they were to take of him.

What a horrible company. They have no problem taking your money, but actually delivering the product is beyond their abilities. I placed an order 4 weeks ago and was told there was a technical issue so my order never went through. Do you think I was notified? Of course not. Last time I ever order from them. I'll get class photos of my kid from an actual photographer.

Billed & charged immediately then sit and wait and wait and wait for them to print and ship pictures. Customer care rep was polite but there's no reason it takes so long for this firm to deliver it's product when Walgreens can put out the same product in under 30 minutes.
Overpriced and lazy
Overpriced and they don't even cut the smaller pictures out. They are all on same page with ugly white barcode at bottom. Lazy and no attention to detail.

The customer service is terrible. The management is terrible. Unsatisfied with the entire process and the 50 mins it took on the phone to get the pictures order that from the looks of the previous reviews will b crap.

This is the worst picture taking place ever. DO NOT TAKE Pictures with them. My daughter took her 3rd grade school pictures with this company. They sent the portal pack I chose the deluxe for 50 dollars. I sent the cash with the picture envelope I had my daughter dressed very nice. My daughter comes in yesterday and stated that the teacher wrote a note stating that I should contact the company because they don’t know where the pictures are. I wish I could upload the note. I was furious due to the simple fact I don’t have money to waste. She said it’s completely their fault and to reach out to them. I called it’s like they sent so many people for my one problem. I didn’t like kaliesha and Dorian attitude. It’s like you had to keep repeating the same thing when they was in the wrong. Then Dorian says when people pay with cash it’s takes longer. These are things they should already tell customers before they pay. You don’t take someone’s money and they don’t know how your business operates. Then they said the pictures will come in the mail like two to three weeks. I’m so mad. They need to be BANNED don’t go to them.

worst customer service EVER! The online tool is useless and takes an hour for a simple question. You call line and wait as well, and have to talk to multiple people just to try and get the product that you have paid for months ago. Over Two months, and multiple calls later, and I am given yet another excuse and order number saying it will be shipped!

Waited 2 months for my pictures only to find out they were never processed... apparently they had the wrong school but never contacted me or bothered to do anything. They had no problem taking my money though.
Now have to wait another 4 weeks as they do not seem to fix their mistake quicker. Next time I will just get my school photos done elsewhere.
Horrid lighting and quality
I am a mother of my 7th grade daughter, and I have to say, this was the worst picture ever! What did you guys do with your quality? Last year it was good but her hair wasn't done. This year she looked all nice and pretty and I even took my own photos and they looked better (Iphone 11 pro max) LifeTouch is seriously awful. They made my daughters eyes look lifeless and orange. they have horrid lighting. I hope you fix your quality and my daughter's district changes it's photographers!!!
Paid for Re-touch
Paid for Re-touch, this company is a complete RIP OFF! I have done professional modeling, and my husband's Google Pixel Pro 6 takes better pictures than this company. Waste of money!! Didn't receive the class picture, and this was a terrible experience.
They only take 1 photo
They only took 1 photo, and offered it at an insane price! I have no problem paying for quality, but there is clearly a lack of effort on the photographer’s part, as my son looks like he was just sitting down when the photo was taken. WE HAVE DIGITAL CAMERAS TODAY! You can actually see the picture immediately!!! Why even submit the 1 picture if you know it’s not a decent shot!!!
On the other hand, my other son, at a different school, had 5 pictures taken during picture day from a different company, and 2 of the 5 taken came out really, really good, so we’ll be placing an order. These are kids. To take 1 picture and then say, “Next Kid” is absolutely pathetic. I’m so infuriated that our school chose this 1 star company. I will be talking to them tomorrow about other photography business options

The photos of my happy autistic son. Not only does he always look when he has photo taken but he's a happy child. The photos made him look like a zombie they did not bother to try to get them to look. I am livid that the school didn't try and neither did the photographer. I paid $80 for 2 photos and class photo with the retouching you would think they would at least try with the price gouge my son will never have his photo taken by them again. I can do a better job literally any day of the week. I wish I could give them a negative rating. The school used another company 2 years ago a local photographer who was able to get good photos. This company 2 years in a row no eye contact no smile not even facing the camera. Never again.
Preschool Picture
This was my child’s first school picture and all of the pictures came out horrible. There was no effort in trying to get my child to smile or laugh. As a parent I looked forward to getting the pictures and was very disappointed and these pictures did not meet my standards at all.
Lifetouch as a company should take pride in the work they do instead of just snapping photos and not caring. Obviously this company is not looking to make money the right way since they continue to take terrible pictures. This company needs to be bought out.
Zero stars needs to be an option because Lifetouch doesn’t even deserve one star.
Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service. I’m thinking of starting my own grad portrait studio - I couldn’t possibly offer clients a worse experience and/or customer service with no previous photography experience. Actually don’t waste your time trying to reach customer service, this company is strictly a cash grab. You’ll never reach someone to talk to. Just send your money and wish for the best. They don’t answer the phone and when you wait for the chat they just keep disconnecting from you 🤣
Terrible Service Every Single Year!!
I feel like I could post this same review every single year!! I've had two sons go through the public school system and every time I've ever placed an order, there have been issues. Two years, we didn't get the correct package, three years we received an empty envelope with no photos at all. It's always difficult to navigate the website (the order number doesn't work, there's no chat available, etc). THIS year, I paid online but we received no photos (although the rest of his classmates did!), and when I inquired over a month ago, I was told to wait three weeks. Here it is, four weeks later and STILL NO PHOTOS. I cringe when the photo order envelopes come home, whether it's for sports or yearbook pics, because I know it's going to be a time-consuming effort on my part--and here I am again. I wish there was another large company that could show Lifetouch how things are supposed to be done. This is unacceptable and frustrating.
Photographer pushed his beliefs on what we purchase
It was my grandsons first year for pictures. We filled out the form requesting background and such. It also asked if there was anything we'd like the photographer to know so he can better do his job. I wrote conservative pictures please...I get my grandsons pictures and there is a gay pride rainbow strip behind all of his pictures. In my opinion personal beliefs should be taken out of the photographers job. I do not care what you believe however for me and my family we love the Lord. If I'm paying for a product it should be completed in accordance to what "I" want not what your company supports!
Predatory Pricing
$80 for 5 preschool photos (digital, not even prints included). There's no option to even just order one digital photo for the sake of saving money. The smallest digital only package they offer is 3 photos and even that is still $70. Straight up predatory behavior. I have no idea how this company is still around. They do "graciously" offer a 20% off coupon on the order form I was sent home with... but when you read the fine print, it's 20% off an additional package with the full price purchase of another. My son had a total of 5 photos taken, why on earth would I need to purchase multiple packages? The coupon is absolutely pointless. Again, predatory.
