Horrible experience with this credit…
Horrible experience with this credit union. I paid off auto loan and the credit union has not sent title to vehicle. I have called multiple times spending a minimum of 6 hours on the phone total. Employees tell me what I want the hear. Finally, an employee listened and admitted to me that they could not locate the title. Frustration continues as they finally located it after a another week of looking. Promised me I would receive the title yesterday however updates of tracking number show Consumers Credit Union still has not sent title. Waiting for return call for updates yet again. Worse experience I have ever had with a bank/credit union. Do not use. They like to pass you around on phone, with long wait times, listening to awful music that repeats itself every 30 seconds. And yes, I have been on hold on phone so long, I actually timed it.

I have had ccu for probably 3 years or so have never had a problem. There so professional i feel guilty when I fall behind. They have always worked with me .Every issue I have they have treated me with respect.

I have been with CCU since they were Motorola Employees Credit Union (since 1994). The very thing I liked about credit unions like MECU has slowly eroded to the point that they have become as obnoxious and greedy as banks. I have my mortgage with CCU and recently, during normal working hours, my calls to their mortgage servicing center are forwarded to phone banks in India. These agents I have spoken with are absolutely clueless and a waste of time. So issues I have with homeowners insurance and escrow have become impossible to resolve.
I asked for my payment to be taken out…of my checking.
I asked for my payment to be taken out of my checking account and the man put it to my savings, There was not enough money in my savings so it said my payment was not made. I had to get back on the phone and get it fixed after being passed around on the phone It finally got fixed. Well we will see next payment. Gurnee credit Union smells so bad.

If you like a credit union that lies and lies and lies, this is the one for you. They are wonderful until you are a member, then things go downhill quickly and steeply. Did I say that they lie?
