I have been in regular contact with my wealth for over two years now. The company has advised me all the way through my process of consolidating and indeed obtaining a pension I was able to take at 60 years of age.
After the initial consultation with my wealth I was assigned a very genuine, caring and knowledgeable fund manager. Darren Traynor has been with me all the way through this process, he has been, honest, available when needed, polite and he understood, what my wife and I needed from my pension pot. He spoke in genuine English so you could understand what he was talking about and was always prepared to go over things again with you if you needed to better understand things. One statement he said to my wife and I, while on a teams call, really stuck in my memory, he said that everybody’s pension pot was important whether it be for a few thousands of pounds or hundreds of thousands of pounds, they are all important to the individual. That 100% hit the mark for me. Darren was always able to fit team’s meetings around our work schedules, so very often, early evening meetings were arranged not the usual 9 until 5 of some companies.
I have been very happy with my experience with my wealth so far, the fees charged are slightly higher than some competitors, however I’ve now experienced trying to get funds out of other reputable pension companies to consolidate my investments into one pot, this was an absolute minefield. They never want to speak with you just take your fees and hope you just keep bobbing along with them, but put up as many hoops as possible when you want to take your money out. Darren and my wealth were there to help every step of the process.

I needed advice on whether to take my work pensions or leave it for a while

I am currently receiving my State Pension as well as a Pension from a previous employment. This has taken me into the 40% tax bracket.

I now know that I can reduce the number of days that I work and will still be comfortable with my reduced salary and have very much less of my income taxed at the higher level.

I can continue paying into my Pension for a while longer and add funds paid into my ISA to my pension.

I didn't know any of this before speaking with John.
My main concerns was taking my Pension at a point that I did not feel ready.

Based on John calculations of my reduced income and pension payments. I am now completely comfortable with my future plans.

Had a series of talks with Niamh Baines before I retired and since. She explained complex things clearly and I felt able to make my own informed decisions without being pushed in any direction. Only niggle is that they haven’t got my name right on the app despite chasing (it’s double barrelled and they’ve missed half off) though the account itself has the right name.

The service provides a good growth rate and are keen to discuss pros and cons of investments etc. They dont hurry you and try to get you to invest. Great service
