Car park scam
Arranged to collect husband from football match at Portman Rd at entrance of the Wolsey car park Ipswich operated by Napier- traffic extremely heavy so no alternative but to drive into entrance of carpark only to get completely stuck there for more than 45mins as huge queue to exit. We did not "park" or use parking space- received parking charge which we appealed -subsequently rejected. Undoubtedly huge number of fines will have been issued so great pay day for Napier. Took them 3 weeks to reply to appeal with deadline to pay £60 in next 2 weeks or pay additional £40. Also advised that if we appeal to "independent" appeals service we will automatically pay £100.
This is a company of gangsters- do not use their carparks.
Reported to Trading Standards and will contact MP. Appalling.
Unreasonable, unsympathetic and unfair.
Drove through a car park in Norfolk in an unfamiliar coastal area. Stopped to look at the map and decided to move on to other locations parking legitimately in the selected parks. On our return home we received two £100 fines for a 10 minute and a 12 minute 'consideration' period. Cruel, unreasonable and should be made illegal. Scandalous misuse of power and institutional bullying. Response to polite appeal was that 10 mins and 12 mins both exceeded the permitted 'consideration' time. No mention of the 'permitted' consideration time was given. That's our last visit to Napier Parking and the Norfolk Coastline. Such bad customer service and aggressive abuse of tourists.

Ive read the multitude of 1* reviews and I am very sympathetic to the people involved. I would of normally given 5* to the Napier carparks company in view of the way my case was dealt with, but in respect to all I can only give 3* as although I was treated with consideration and understanding by the Birmingham Napier appeals department who dealt with my appeal, there appears there is alot of inconsistancies between the various Nationwide Napier appeals branches which needs to be addressed. My circs:.
I had gone onto a camera and CCTV camera controlled Napier car park on Church Lane Northfield Birmingham early on 16th August, as I thought I had put the wrong post code my Sat Nav as I was going the wrong way and I couldnt just stop on a busy main road. I am aware there is a period of grace on all car parks which I understand to be 10 minutes and reasoned I would only be a few moments check and to re-insert the Post Code so I didn't obtain a ticket. I reset my Sat Nav and then immediately continued on my journey. A few days later I recieved a £100 parking fine for 'parking' for 5 minutes. I was mortified. I immediately sent off my appeal explaining that I hadn't parked in a bay, turned off my engine or got out of my car, I had merely used the safety of the car park ro reset my Sat Nav, then continued my journey. I also phoned their complaints office and was told by a very rude female call handler that it was my fault as I had entered private land and parked for 5 minutes and 26 seconds and my appeal would be rejected ! Well I remained calm and asked her how she would feel if she was fined £100 for doing a responaible act then I concluded my call and awaited the inevitable 'appeal denied' letter and preparing for the next appeal and logical conclusion of taking them to court.
Imagine my amazement when today I recieved an email from Napier Carparks thanking me for providing a thorough explaination for using their car park and having viewed the photos, CCTV and considered the circumstances they were cancelling my fine and no further action would be taken, and thanked me for my thorough reply..
The letter was very polite and explanitory hence my 3* rating. At least the Birmingham appeals branch of Napier are reasonable, whereas I have noticed in the reviews on trustpilot, that a number of the same named car parks in other areas where the circumstances, while similar to mine, appeals have been rejected. Inconsistances like this should be challenged.
Total scam
Total scam. Entered their Havant car park, couldn't figure out the parking (no bays) or payment system so left within 10 minutes. Received a £100 penalty notice.
Unfair Parking Management
Unfair Parking Management
I bought a parking space, but the management is very unreasonable. Just giving one day notice, they issued penalty tickets for several days in a row — even when the car was not parked in the bay! This is totally unfair and unacceptable.
On top of that, the car park already does not have enough spaces for residents. Now they have converted many spaces into EV charging bays, leaving fewer spaces for fuel cars. Where are petrol/diesel car owners supposed to park? This arrangement is ridiculous, poorly managed, and extremely unfair to residents who actually purchased a parking space.
Bunch of crooks
Bunch of crooks. Genuinely didn’t realise I was in their car park as opposed to the council owned one as visiting an unfamiliar town. I did not see their signs as I reversed into the parking bay and waited for my friend who eventually phoned and told me I was in the wrong car park. Left after a 14 minute stay as soon as I called , they rejected my appeal and now have to pay £60 for 14 minutes, an expensive mistake ! Signage needs to be much clearer how about a barrier at the entrance which clearly shows that’s you are in an ANPR car park!!’
The worst parking management ever
Everyone boycott these robbing…
Everyone boycott these robbing a...holes carparks.
Fined £60 for taking 8 minutes from the time I drove into the carpark to getting the ticket and not adding that as extra time on top of the 4 hours I had purchased, got back to the car when the ticket was up but went over by 9 minutes as had to get a 5 year old and a baby strapped in the car ,, tried to appeal and added details that I was within the grace period set out by the British parking association but they still demanded the fine, I will never park in there carparks again 😡
Thieves
Thieves, they take your money this goes to show how corrupt this country is by allowing such terrible companies to operate. At least when I got robbed by the police in South America they were honest about it.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers. We parked for just over an hour at burgh castle. Car park was very empty everyone finding somewhere else to park. Thought we’d paid for 2 hours through the app but payment had not gone through.
£60 fine.
Avoid at all costs!!!
Avoid …
Just read previous reviews after I have been stung. Easy cash income by an unscrupulous business targeting motorists. It is time the government stepped up to clamp down in these companies. I'm sure a review of the stats on notices issued and revenue generated would be most revealing
Don't stop for a minute
My husband is disabled and we were going to Southampton hospital by train from Havant to see a consultant. I parked in the Napier car park but couldn't find any information about parking with a disabled blue badge so I drove out and left went into the station car park instead. This took 7 minutes. I was issued with a parking fine and appealed. I have now received a message to say that my appeal is rejected. They have sent me a photograph of the parking instructions which are in such small print they are impossible to read. Due to the delay in getting the car parked, we missed our train and were late for our appointment. Thanks Napier!
Absolute scamming *****
Absolute scamming ***** . Had been parking in that car park for over 10 years with no issues, all of a sudden one day they decide to start charging people and didn't even have the new signs up until after I was charged, appeal rejected. Degenerates.
Got lost in B'pool
Got lost in B'pool. stopped for 5 minutes to phone my partner at 10pm and received a £100 fine. 5 minutes and 3 seconds. didnt stop the car didnt vacate the car but due to that extra 3 seconds I got a fine. appealed it and they did not give two cares. greedy greedy greedy. no compassion at all.
Absolute joke of a car park
Absolute joke of a car park. I’ve been parking here weekly for work and when paying for parking on “just park” it would automatically change my parking to end on the next day. There was one day that it hadn’t done so and I hadn’t realised as it does it every other time. For the sake of a pound they’re charging me £60.
Parked at Snettisham beach was 13…
Parked at Snettisham beach was 13 minutes leaving after my ticket ran out due to having my disabled grandson with me who needed support before leaving the car park. I appealed and after 2 months of hearing nothing from them, then received a second letter saying I need to pay £100 now.
I’ve been visiting this beach for years, there’s nothing there regarding entertainment and food places, but it has been my happy place, sadly I’ll never visit this beach again. Disgusting company
I was sent a penalty charge of £100 ……but …
I was sent a penalty charge of £100 … reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days . This was for not entering my car reg details on the parking ticket. This is one of the T @C ‘s at the car park . My appeal was successful and 3 weeks later the charges were dropped by Napier. The moral “ keep the ticket “ as this is incontrovertible proof of paid parking . Give credit where it is due … well done Napier !
I gave volunteer help to a disabled…
I gave volunteer help to a disabled gentleman and made the mistake of parking for 10 minutes in their car park displaying his disabled badge on the gentleman’s advice that this was what he did every week when he collected his prescription from boots. I really believed we had free parking here but have since found out this isn’t the case. I explained the situation on the appeal and that the gentleman was on benefits and I was a volunteer helping him, but there was absolutely no leeway at all. Of course I can not make the gentleman pay but sadly also can no longer be a volunteer helper after being caught out like this. I get nothing for helping, it’s all at my own cost so this was a real blow. I truly cannot believe even after being given all the evidence of his badge that they couldn’t see pass the money aspect of it. What a sad cold company which has no compassion to the elderly disabled people in the community. I would like to see everyone boycott the car park in waterlooville Hants in protest for having no heart for genuine mistakes. Words cannot express my sadness and anger towards this company!
Cowboy company avoid
Cowboy company avoid. Paid for 3 hours, however unknown to us you could not park after 9pm (although they took the payment after 9pm) fine £100. Snettisham beach Norfolk AVOID!!
This company needs to be closed down by…
This company needs to be closed down by the courts they are fraudulently seeking money for fines, they can spend time to see you were there but they cannot see that you entered the car park being full and then left to park somewhere else receive a fine for £100 for unpaid parking industry renowned? Maybe for making people pay fraudulent fines daylight robbery.
