"UGREEN has accepted $30 pre-orders for…

"UGREEN has accepted $30 pre-orders for their product on their website for one of their products. Doing so guaranteed you a link to a private order at the agreed upon pre-order price.

They are now not honoring a CONTRACT that has been established between their customers and UGREEN. Since there was an offer and consideration of the $30 deposit.

They now are stating that there is "too much demand" So they are reneging on the agreement of a private link at a private price and redirecting everyone to a public Kickstarter with a promise to "refund you" later.

This is clear manipulation and potentially illegal since money has already exchanged hands for a reserved spot.

Never received my parcel, buy better at other online marketplaces.

I'm not usually one to write negative reviews, but what customer service has been doing here is unbelievable. First, the positive: I've owned a UGREEN NAS for two years and am very satisfied. In mid-January, I ordered a UPS (after it became available again after several months), and when it still hadn't arrived by the end of January, I contacted customer service. However, the inquiry was apparently never forwarded to the correct department, so I inquired again in mid-March. After being told that I had once again been referred to the wrong department, I was informed that the package (since it couldn't be delivered) had been returned to the sender. I never received any notification that the package was on its way to me, nor that it couldn't be delivered, nor that it had been returned to the sender and that I would be refunded. I've been waiting for the item for over two months. There was no communication from UGREEN NAS until I contacted them, and then customer service just brushed me off, implying it was my own fault. I'm really disappointed and would think twice before buying directly from their website again. I'd much rather buy from a trusted online marketplace.

I bought a Ugreen NAS to replace my…

I bought a Ugreen NAS to replace my Synology, and after their successful Kickstarter campaign and all the promises they made, it really looked like a solid alternative. Unfortunately, in real life it’s simply not a usable product.
The bigggest issue is the software. Many of the apps they advertise on their website and in the documentation are not available in a lot of countries - and there's no clear explanation why. Before buying, I strongly recommend checking your app store for “Ugreen NAS.” You’ll probably find only a few basic apps, while the main app and important services like system management, Photos, Music, and Theater are missing.

Even the HDMI output is basically useless, because it requires the Ugreen NAS app to work properly. Yes, you can technically use the NAS, but without proper mobile integration it feels like a product from 10 years ago - actually worse than many NAS systems from the previous decade.

The Ugreen NAS OS is clearly inspired by Synology DSM and visually looks quite nice, but that’s where the good news ends. There’s still no TV app, no proper mobile apps, and many of the features promised on their website have either disappeared or never arrived.

I’ve contacted support multiple times about these issues, but so far there has been no response and no reaction at all.

The only real positives are the hardware. Build quality is excellent, and power management is genuinely impressive. When not in use, it drops to 0W consumption, something my Synology never managed despite all its hibernation and cache features.
But honestly - what’s the point of great hardware if the software is unfinished?
