Hi Genette - thanks for sharing this feedback, and we are so sorry for the headache. While we appreciate your kind words about our team, you shouldn't have needed to deal with multiple replacements just to get set up.

Multiple defect issues like this are completely unacceptable to us, and we brought this straight to our Quality Control team to investigate that batch when this was reported. Thank you for your patience with our team through all of this, and for donating those extra chairs.

Hi Katherine - thanks for reaching out. We're glad you liked the overall style, but dealing with stiff, non-functional drawers is completely frustrating, and we're truly sorry for the hassle.

Part of the challenge with this design was balancing crucial tip-over safety standards (like drawer-interlock mechanisms to keep the unit stable) with smooth functionality - and in this case, the glides fell short in the "easy experience" area.

While our team issued partial refunds to assist on the financial side, we knew we needed to fix the root cause. Your feedback directly helped our design team re-engineer these safety systems, and we are launching upgraded, smooth-gliding dresser designs very soon. We really appreciate your patience and input!

To clear up what happened with your product review: our platform automatically holds reviews submitted without a verified order ID - which appears to have been the case with your review. It has since been published on our site.

We want to reassure you (and anyone reading) that all Nathan James furniture strictly complies with federal safety and indoor air quality standards, including EPA TSCA Title VI regulations for VOC and formaldehyde emissions. Because our pieces are packaged tightly right after manufacturing to protect them in transit, fresh finish and wood odors can sometimes get trapped inside the sealed box and take time to fully dissipate once unpacked.

While airing pieces out usually clears this up, no customer should ever feel stuck with furniture they aren't completely happy with. If a product ever has an odor or finish that isn't up to your standards, our team is always here to help with a return or replacement. Thank you for your feedback!
