We are a family run Motorcycle dealership. We sell Yamaha, Benelli, Royal Enfield, SYM and Peugeot scooters. We have a workshop on site and also a shop and can order in parts if we do not hold them.

Amazing company

Absolutely lovely time dealing with this company , Sophie is an absolute gem and made the whole process enjoyable.

Very patient with me while sorting the bike out and also very informative

Much better experience than some other companies ive tried dealing with

Excellent and friendly staff

Excellent and friendly staff. Excellent bike knowledge not just across the range of bikes sold but over other brands making it easy to compare a vehicle i purchased to one i used for my test. Good value for money if your a first timer. this is my second bike and i cannot find fault. Staff always willing to offer advice and assistance. Excellent turn around times on servicing.

if your looking for your first ride or thinking of upgrading i would defiantly give these guys a look.

I am made to feel like a burden every…

I am made to feel like a burden every time I phone up. Customer service is very bad unless you're one of their favourites. I purchased a bike there which has been constantly breaking down and the waiting time to repair is over one month at times. I was told I was contacted about a part arriving but I didn't receive any call or voicemail. One of the mechanics said what a great bike I have and then a few weeks later said you will be lucky to get a few hundred quid for that if you sell it. I received an angry voicemail after leaving this review..I received criticism about repairing my bike for free but they didn't fix it the first time when I paid for it and was taken in for the same issue..Even after the second time it wasn't working asbit should. They reiterated that they left me a message and missed calls to say my part had arrived but I didn't receive either so I carried on paying a fortune in train tickets and cycling a lot and you wonder why I left a negative review?! I even received a voice message on my phone that was meant for someone else! These are symptoms of being too busy and understaffed. I took it elsewhere and it was way better. I will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on.

Hi Richard, I answered the phone to you the other day about your cable that you had ordered and was friendly and had no issue running downstairs to find out if your part was here. It was and we said it had been a few weeks and we had called and left messages but you did not reply, but it was ready for collection. You have been taking your bike to be looked after some where else for a while now and when they would not fix a part for you brought it back to us. The bike was corroded on parts and the manufacturer refused your warranty as they said the bike had not been looked after well. We fixed it any way for you and did not charge you any money for it and never got a thank you for our efforts. In terms of waiting a month we are beholden to the manufacturer in the case of parts, and the lead times have been longer due to factors like the war going on and the ships on divert, it is unfair to blame us for that when all we have ever done is tried to help. Every time you come in you have asked you how you are, when you came in to get your cable the other day you had to wait a moment as another customer was in front of you and Pete was dealing with him first, he handed you the cable as you looked like you wanted to go, said hello Richard here is your cable and continued with the other customer as it wasn't a short answer. So we are not sure as a business where this review has come from and why you are so upset you felt instead of just talking to us you needed to make a negative review.
* You have now added that you were left an angry phone call message. You were left a message after you refused to pick up your phone..again, so that we could talk to you about why you felt like we had given you bad service, explaining about the fact as above we had fixed your bike, that you did not look after well and why you were so dissatisfied. There was no 'Angry message'. We can see there will clearly be no resolution with you as you have avoided all contact with us and have just kept updating this review rather than simply talking to us to resolve how you are feeling in the first place. We are happy you are with another garage and wish you well in the future.

Really friendly and helpful staff

Really friendly and helpful staff. I just popped in for some advice and the response was great, all the people I spoke to were keen to help and treated me like I wished all dealerships would. An excellent first time experience I will definitely be back.

Would highly recommend Newcombe…

Would highly recommend Newcombe Motorcycles, with a special mention to Sophie. Sophie has supported our son through the whole process with expertise, patience and understanding while navigating what bike to choose, helping with insurance and a special thanks also to the time and assistance to Cam, who ensured that Harry was safe and giving time to him to practice safely under their watchful eyes.

VFR 800 Service

Pete and the team (particular thanks to Tom) did the valve check on my VFR 800 this week. They did an excellent job, offered me a loan bike, and all work completed on time and at a competitive price. Tom took the time to explain all the work carried out which I really appreciated. Highly recommended.

I can't thank these people enough

I can't thank these people enough, I brought a motobike this year and have had nothing but trouble from it.having my own transport is so important to me for my independence and work ect ,every time my bike has broken down and its been quite a few times, without hesitation or an appointment these guys have been my saverours , not only did they see to my bike and get the bike sorted they did not charge me the earth because they new I had fallen on hard times. What else could I say about this great family run business , well loads 👍 the staff are great and the macanick are top fellas always willing to help and get you back on the road ASAP. Thank you so much once again Newcomes.

Service above and beyond

Submitting this on behalf of my neighbour Steve in Goffs Oak , Herts
The engine management light came on 72 plate Interceptor. He phoned Newcombes and they said “bring it down we’ll have a look. “ On arrival they said they were pretty sure of the problem and told him to pop next door for a sandwich. Before he’d finished eating they phoned him and said “ your bikes fixed”. He was told what the problem was and they refused to take any payment for sorting it. He purchased some chain lube and told them to keep the change.

I just want to thank you all at Newcombe in supplying my New Lambretta totally love it and you went that extra mile to locate exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend this company for supplying and looking after your servicing needs

Purchased a bike through newcombes with…

Purchased a bike through newcombes with a warranty, had an electrical fault, after inspection was charged an hour and a half labour and told the bike was completely stripped to find moisture "in the ecu" a sealed unit, got bike back after a week with the main fuel tank/fairing head snapped off, all loom moisture gators not back in the the correct positions to protect from moisture and some of loom loose.. intend on visiting shop in the morning for correction/answers. Very angry customer right now

Apologies we missed this review. In resoponse, you jet washed your bike and caused shorting out on the main fuse of the bike and a damp ECU. it took toime to work out why the bike was doinbg what it did and thetime to fit the mirror. Within the cost you are stating you also needed a new mirror. ( This was nothing to do with anything we did, you had damaged it when using it I believe ) that was £29.00 of the bill. The reason you got charged labour was due to you never having the bike serviced and so there fore the warranty lapsing. You came to us at a milege of 2576. this means you bypassed the first service needed for the warranty to stand.
We always try to be fair and will always honor a warranty if you have had the services done here or at another VAT registered garage. As to the other issues I cannot comment as I can only see what was on the bill. But Pete would have tried to do his best for you and feel this review does not reflect the situation properly.

Bought my first Royal Enfield as a…

Bought my first Royal Enfield as a seasoned biker at Newcombes and what a refreshing experience it was. Tracy sold me a Classic 350 from stock, no fuss, and added all the extras with a short lead time for delivery. Sophie handed the bike over on the day, and made coffee while the workshop guys added something else I needed on the day. First service came around and I needed a pannier set not standard for this model. Peter at Newcombes clearly knows his stuff as he modified and mounted textile panniers in under 24 hrs and they look as if they should always have been there, perfect. Its a real pleasure to have a local shop where the team are interested, knowledgable and engaging. The bike is great and Newcombes are by far the best dealer experience I have had in recent years. Highly recommended.

I’m a new rider and this shop is…

I’m a new rider and this shop is amazing after attending several shops and not having good advice etc I come to here and I was being told about nearly every bike in the shop they was helping me with the perfect bike for me and so far so good! I had my first service today and I’m very pleased with the service I received!! Highly recommend

I bought a second hand bike from…

I bought a second hand bike from Newcombes they were very knowledgeable and really helpfull as I came in and out a few times. Pete was brilliant as were the ladies in the office. Will be coming back when I need a service or MOT.
