Scammed the Elderly

Elderly couple will be going through second hurricane season with windows that have failed the county inspection. Company doesn’t care at all and is doing nothing to remedy the situation. Absolutely sickening and would never purchase anything from them. Thousands of dollars scammed from elderly people is seriously poor customer service.

I am filing this complaint due to no communication and

I am filing this complaint due to ongoing communication failures, lack of accountability, and unresolved service issues.
My experience with Armorvue / Window Nation / New South Window has been one of the most stressful home improvement experiences we have ever encountered. From start to finish, communication has been disorganized and follow-up has been nonexistent.
I have attempted to resolve these issues through the proper chain of command, including:
• District Regional Manager – Brad Sheffield
• Store Manager – Preston Koch
• Production Manager – John Ziles
• Service Technician – Ryan
• Customer Service / Scheduling – Loretta and Gladys
Despite multiple calls and emails, responses have gone unanswered for days and sometimes weeks. Escalating the matter through management has not produced meaningful resolution.
When issues arose with the installed windows, the company failed to take accountability or provide a timely, professional resolution. For a company that markets itself as “premium,” the level of service provided does not reflect that standard.
For the amount of money invested in this project, the lack of responsiveness and accountability is unacceptable. It has been frustrating, exhausting, and time-consuming to attempt to get someone to take responsibility.
As of today, February 27, 2026, I still have not received adequate response or resolution.
I strongly caution consumers to thoroughly research before signing any agreement with this company.

15 Months and counting!!!!!!

It's been 15 months since the "first" installation of our windows. Since then future deliveries were wrong or defective and each time it takes 6-8 weeks for the new windows to arrive. The production manager was verbally abusive and conversation elevated into a shouting match. He said what's wrong with 15 months???? Been searching for 3 hours to find a complaint department- good luck!! Emails given to me were invalid. Horrible, horrible experience!!!

NewSouth Window Tampa installed 2 new sliding glass doors Nov 9, 2023 at our residence. We had an issue with the astragal on 1 door. It was badly scratched/marred. Sadly, there were 8 separate attempts to replace it over 2 years! The last replacement was installed Nov 10th, 2025 and it still had some imperfections/scratches from the production process.

We would never buy a new car with scratches on it! This whole process became ridiculous to the point where we asked for a partial refund. It was agreed by Customer Service Manager and us that they would make 1 last attempt to resolve. The last attempt still had quality issues. After final discussions, they agree only to give us a $250 VISA debit card. Certainly not sufficient compensation for a) the hassle and aggravation we went through and b) for what we paid for this product.

It was frustrating each time they arrived with several astragals that were still damaged and unacceptable. We would never recommend this company to anyone. Their quality control and customer service are deplorable.

Not Impressed!

Not Impressed! We had an appointment to have 18 replacement windows and a set of French doors quoted in my home. They insisted that both my wife and I be there for this appointment. The salesman never showed, never called! I called after they were over an hour late. The person I spoke with apologized profusely and asked to reschedule... we did for 2-days later. Once again...no show, no call. I called again and they once again apologized profusely and threw in a 5% discount off the entire job, so we rescheduled for later the same day. 30 minutes later, I got a call back saying they couldn't come because we were out of their 85 mile service area, I told them their store is exactly 41.2 miles from my home according to Google Maps. After being put back on hold for several minutes, they came back on and said it's not the miles...they don't service my zip code. Sounds like a load of BS to me...the first thing they did when I originally contacted them was get my address. Reading other reviews on this site, it looks like we probably dodged a bullet anyway!

Don't use them

The installers are great. Take great care to keep things clean and provide the best end product they can.
The sales personnel are mostly liars. They tell you one thing and never back it up. They say that materials have been ordered they think and will check and call you back, but they never call back. They say it will take 4-6 weeks to get new windows and it takes 8-10 weeks. They installed one of my new windows with broken glass in it. I'm not saying cracked, the glass is shattered. They knew it when the installers picked up the windows to start installation and 5 weeks later, no replacement glass and no schedule or updates from them on the schedule to get the new glass. Frankly I will never use them again and will make sure that if anyone asks that I steer them in another direction if possible

Had my windows replaced 3 years ago. The installation process was a mess. Great sales guy but zero follow through. Now half of my windows dont function properly and there is zero help from New South. Find a different contractor.

Buyer bewareI of New South window…

I contracted with New South Window Solutions of Charleston to install 4 large panel slider doors. They were installed on 9/2024. I paid the final bill on 9/23/24 after talking to Nikki and Greg, the manager. $500. Was subtracted from the bill since screens were cancelled and floor cleaning was subtracted. Imagine my surprise when Whitney/Jake called me back 6 weeks later demanding the $500. I paid the final bill on 9/23/24 with two representatives. Why are 2 different representatives ignoring the agreement. I don’t trust New South Window Solutions of Charleston.

Zero communication/follow-up/follow through

Signed contract 06/01/2024. That is the last of the good communication. No follow-up or follow through. We have been calling asking for install dates. They lied to us about the permit saying they had applied for a permit but a phone call to the permitting office (and verifying it in the portal) showed no permit had been filed yet. We have renters coming and need this project to be done. They told us the first week of August. I would have been fine with September but it is 10/30/2024 and we are still not done and no one will call me back.

Terrible uncaring company, untrustworthy and unreliable!!

I had the sales guy come and give me a bid, sounded great. The measuring guy doesn't care about anything but himself.

Beware, they say anything to get a sale!!

He said, "measuring will be in next day or 2, call anytime if have any issues, and install would be in 12 weeks".
I had a problem with the measuring guy never contacted me for 5 days AND a 12 week lead time is ridiculous.
I told my sales guy 3 times to cancel my order on 2nd day and I want to cancel.
Even though I canceled within the contractual 3-day requirement, they charged my credit card anyway.

Now I get the "not my job" answer when I reached out to other employees in company to confirm my cancelation.
The company and 2 employees ignored me and next thing I know, my account was charged.

Very frustrating company, untrustworthy and unreliable!
Sales guys talk big game but they talk out of both sides of their mouths and don't care about customer satisfaction.
Poor communication and no one care about doing the right thing.

Stay away from them!! Awful stressful dealing with them. Still fighting with them!!

Its so disappointing to have to write…

Its so disappointing to have to write this review because we were so excited about choosing New South over all the other companies we met with but fel the need to warn people about how this company operates. We met with our salesman Don very nice person and did a good job explaining to us why New South is a good choice but thats where the good experience ended. Don told us the payment schedule was one third up front one third at time of installation and one third when everything was complete. OK next step is the measurement's and at that time we were told NO one third up front and both other two thirds on the same day of installation BEFORE the inspection by the County BEFORE the permit is closed and BEFORE the installation is completed. We told the person doing the measuring we were not comfortable with that and he said ok i made that note for you but call your sales rep. Fine all of sudden the nice sales person is non responsive and when he finally does respond says I'll check with the manager...so we start calling and emailing the office and finally a week later we get an email from the manger Fred who says thats the way its stated in the contract. Now we are trying to cancel and get our deposit back since nothing is turning out to be what we were told AND they comapny has shown us when we do have an issue they don't repond and avoid dealing with the clients. We should have gone with Pella hopefully this helps anyone else comparing companies for replacement windows that has the same choice to make.
**Update, after emailing the company to cancel our order i got a phone call from Fred the manager who told me the same thing as the email, "the contract says... so it doesn't matter what the salesperson told you" so i said no problem we just want to cancel and then he said "Your way past yuor three days to cancel" This would all be well and good except we told them at time we were signing the agreement we weren't comfortable and wanted to change the agreement and the measuring person added the note and assured us we could deal with it with our sales rep, then nobody would respond to us until after the three days had passed. This is Not an upfront company from our experience at all!

Worst installers and product

Ordered in Feb, got installed end of April, scratched glass, frame bent and tweaked, gauges on frame. They sent another team to "fix". Tried to just cover up large gaps in frame with caulk. Company reordered. Old taken out and new installed, didn't pass inspection for several reasons. Put new trim around 3 panel slider with 3.wood boards not the crown molding we had. Sent same team out to fix. Tried to paint damage to walls and trim. They didn't put paint able caulk so I'm now ripping it all out and having to do it myself. 9 month project.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Overall, it was good.

In sales pitch don't start out with a high $$ amount.

Should not be forced to be issued a credit card & pay a $29 fee for it. It shouldn't take 5 wks for appt for strips to be put back after final inspection. Whole timeline worked well & 2 installers did 8 windows in 1 day & were professional. Customer service didn't follow thru on getting my husbands phone # in system for all calls which was annoying.

Bad installation, worse customer service

Paid 50K for all my windows and doors. The materials seem to be good. Installation is EXTREMELY subpar (I have pics to prove it). They sent the same person over and over, to solve the issues they themselves created. Failed inspection due to wrong installation procedure, non compliance with county code, doors with handles scratched, installed non-square, not closing properly, parts missing (i.e: plugs to cover screws). Broken seams, stucco used improperly (Came off at first pressure cleaning) Crew showed up at least 4 times, not counting scheduled inspection. Last time I had to threaten with a lawsuit to have them come and fix inspection failing issues. I do not recommend at all

Promotion not honored

Over the last few years replaced all of our windows (14+) with New South windows and 5 outside doors and one slider. At the time we signed up for the doors we were told we would get a free cruise or something else. We elected for the cruise but then were sent something else that we cannot use as we are retired. I have called the Orlando office several times and have not received an adequate explanation. After the amount of business we have given them I didn't think we'd be scammed but treated courteously. The product is very good but the followup and follow through are lousy. At this time I cannot recommend anyone to New South as we feel used and abused by 0them.

Avoid this company.
I ordered a hurricane door from Chris. Nice person. New South Window called me the door had been ready and they just received the building permit.
The installers came and installed the door backwards. Someone named Franklin came to help them reverse it and put the lock on.
There is a 1/2 in gap at the bottom!
The threshold plate is silver , they installed a piece that was brown as a spacer,
Not sure this will get a permit.
They said they would be back out to make it right. They did not show up and never called.
They rescheduled.
Not a lot of hope it is done professionally.
Big box sis my neighbors and is very good and not leaks.
I will not be using them for anything in the future.

EXCELLENT AND OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

New South Windows entire team are the BEST in business when it come to professional customer service and care. From the President, who send new customers a welcome email. The sales rep., who were very informative and knowledgeable about the product. The office staff, who communicated effectively during the process. The window tech., who was highly knowledgeable and detail about the installation. And the Installers, who was very professional, flexible, prompted and clean while doing the job. All I can say, I am an extremely satisfied customer, I will highly recommend family and friends to New South Windows. TEAMWORK!!
