Terrible Experience

My daughters great exchange experience in Copenhagen has been ruined by these lowlifes delaying repayment of her bond money. She has been waiting for 2 months and replies to her pleas for HER money to be returned are met with anodyne emails telling her payment is on its way. The stress this has caused is enormous. Legal action is underway. I would highly recommend avoiding this shonky company like the plague.

Great student housing!

Great student housing!
I really enjoyed my time living in Nido Bryggen - as an international Master's student in Copenhagen. I loved the amenities, location and the fully furnished rooms of Nido. The staff were always kind and helpful and my deposit was returned promptly after my move-out date. Staff were also very flexible and helpful with my move-in date. Overall it was a great experience and I will miss living at Nido Bryggen :)

Jeg har været så glad for at bo i Nido

Jeg har været så glad for at bo i Nido. Det tæt på byen, shopping og handle mulighederne er gode, der grønne områder i nærheden og der er ingen larm.
Alle ansatte har været så hjæpsomme og søde, hvis der har været det mindste, de ting der har været i stykker i lejligheden er altid blevet ordnet og jeg er altid blevet behandlet godt af både folk der bor der og arbejder der. De ansatte taler altid pænt, er smilende, klar på en snak hvis der er brug for det også er de gode til at lave arrangementer for alle der bor der. Så jeg kan klart anbefale Nido, hvis man søger et stille og roligt sted, som er tæt på alting og hvor der er gode og søde mennesker der kan hjælpe dig.

9.500 DKK rent and the building has…

9.500 DKK rent and the building has just one cleaner. The staff is unfriendly and the building is dirty.
Since I moved here, there have been at least three floods in the gym and a daily fire alarm. I also don't want to talk about the terrible state of affairs with the trash beans. It would be quite simple to locate the individuals causing the chaos there because of the CCTV.

Nido and stuff are disappointing.

Fire alarms: We've taken proactive measures to address the sensitivity of the detectors and are working with our service provider to further adjust them. Additionally, we're exploring options to improve reaction times and enhance communication during alarm incidents.

Trash room: Our team has implemented various initiatives to promote proper trash sorting, including distributing educational materials, enhancing signage, and monitoring with security cameras. We are actively engaging with the municipality to optimise our trash sorting system.

Cleaning: Recognising the importance of cleanliness, we have bolstered our housekeeping team and are seeking additional support to ensure thorough cleaning throughout the property.

Floods: We understand the inconvenience caused by flooding incidents and have expedited responses to resolve them promptly. We're also maintaining close communication with the construction company to address any underlying issues contributing to these occurrences.

Missing deposit, lack of communication, price does not justify the accomodation

- Unbelievable the lack of communication from their side when it comes to my deposit. Still waiting after I moved out two months ago, to get my deposit back. No reply from their side, to the point I’m seeking legal advice to get my money back. Other residents are dealing with the same issue.

- Fire alarm went off at random hours of the days, disrupting people their sleep, studies or free time. Unnecessary and lost time for the local fire department to show up multiple times a month.

- Left my kitchen utilities for 5h in a common kitchen, to found out cleaning staff threw away all my brand new stuff in the trash. ( Luckily management reimbursed my stuff after 2.5 months back and forth e-mailing).

- Company portrays themselves with values such as sustainability and ecology, yet students weren’t allowed to donate stuff. The amount of brand new stuff you could find in the trash was outstanding. The usage of excessive and useless heating and electricity of the building also contradicts their values.

- Their app claims Nido organizes weekly monday breakfasts and friday movie nights, never seen that happening.

- The gaming nook and play area, is also just some cheap marketing. You need to rent a gaming console for a high price in order to use the gaming nook. The dartboard was completely broken and the pingpong table always was missing some stuff.

- When I moved in, I found cigarette butts in my window frame, a lot of dust, a leaking toilet, clogged hair in the bathroom and used toilet paper under my matress. Left over sauces in the fridge from the previous resident. For paying 8.600 DKK/month you expect atleast to be checked in a clean room.

- Don’t be misled by all the positive reviews, they ask their residents multiple times to write reviews in order to win cash prizes. Ofcourse, no one will write a bad review during their stay because high-likely the residents will feel they won’t make a chance to win money.

Positive remarks ( although they heavily outweigh the negative sides).
- The rooftop is amazing.
- Frontdesk was nice and polite and resolve quickly any problems that occurred during my stay.
- The gym was small but effective.
- The room was comfortable, black out curtains were the best, kitchen/bathroom were small but convenient.
- I met some awesome fellow residents during my stay and Nido did organize a rooftop party once which was amazing.

Nido Bryggen

I'll update this review after my deposit has been returned. Its taken 10 weeks but yet to receive it.

Aside from the deposit experience. It's actually a nice place in a good location across the road from the South campus of the University of Copenhagen. The city centre is a 10 minute bike ride. The furnishings and facilities are good. The all concrete flooring, walls etc... keeps the unit warm through winter without any need for heating. Its clean and welcoming.

Not sure if delays in deposit refunds is a Danish custom or just a Nido inefficiency. But it sure is annoying.

Great Support in Booking Process

They were so helpful during the entire booking process and made me feel even more secure about my decision to stay with them! The studio category I wanted was booked out and they reserved a studio for me as soon as it became available again and supported with all of my many questions!

I’m looking forward to staying at Nido :)

Super worry about my future stay in…

Super worry about my future stay in Nido Living in Copenhagen. Started to book 2 months ago and never can reach out to staff via call. Everything can only communicated via email and very minimal thing that i can ask about the apartment information. Anyway, i started booking procedure and more than 3 time the system failed to allowing for signature. After 4th time after I signed the contract and paid deposit, it took 2 weeks and still the portal did not recognize payment and don't allow for check-in. Emailed and was kept asking to update the system.

I am super worry about my future stay, even booking procedure has such problematic with communication
