I’m very impressed with this company
I’m very impressed with this company, I ordered a watch winder on Friday and it arrived the next day! Good prices too.
Not everything included, no wax canvas case.
UPDATE:
I mentioned the below to Nomadic, apparently they were out of stock and have said they will get one sent out next week. Great customer service after the fact, so at this point I’m happy to give the full 5stars which I’d have given them had the Wax canvas case been included.
“I’ve just received the watch,
The watch seems great I’ve got it all set up and set the bracelet to my size, nice and easy to use, removing the links was user friendly with the required tool included.
I’m just disappointed that for the price I was expecting to have the waxed canvas roll to keep everything together inside, neat and tidy when I’m out on my trips while using the watch but unfortunately this item was missing which is a shame as it would have got 5stars otherwise as personally it was meant to be an important part of what I want to use the watch for.
Also to note, not necessarily anything the company Nomadic has control over but on delivery the top corner of the package was crumpled in as if it had been dropped on the corner but the contents inside after opening the package appear fine and the box wasn’t torn or ripped so this hasn’t factored into the rating on my review”.
Expedition to Nomadic Watches in Belfast
Professional and courteous 5* Customer Service from Conor & Greg when I made the trip to Nomadic HQ in Belfast to view and buy the Taurus 914 Landfall. Fabulous watch - especially on the Nomadic Sage Green rubber strap! The 914 takes over from my Rolex as a daily wear.
Highly Recommended.
Great watch, not great bracelet or customer service
In truth this is a 3.5 to 4 star experience.
I bought the Nomadic Marai 401 in Emerald Abyss. Loved it out of the box - great appearance. Crown twist isn't as reassuring as some other brands, but the bezel is wonderful and the dial is gorgeous. Bracelet is a bit lightweight to be totally honest and a touch jangly. Doesn't compare to my Christopher Ward bracelet.
Within 14 days of owning the clasp broke through simple daily use (nothing extreme or excessive) - putting on in the morning, taking off in the evening. It had to go back and it took longer than it should to turn around and send me a new one in replacement.
Meanwhile while that was happening I got an automated email by mistake telling me if I completed my purchasing transaction for my watch (which obviously I already had) I'd be gifted a free watch winder worth £85. I emailed back suggesting that they send me the free watch winder because I had purchased already and within two weeks the bracelet had broken. This was ignored.
I had to chase the turnaround of the bracelet. None of this left me feeling happy. When the bracelet was returned it was simply a new bracelet that they could have sent out the same day I reported the fault (a good fortnight earlier). They might have included an additional strap pack for the trouble, or honoured the watch winder offer they'd accidentally sent me. They didn't do either.
I like the Nomadic Marai 401 Emerald Abyss a great deal. It's a lovely watch - but I'm probably not going to recommend Nomadic and I probably won't buy a second watch from them either. There's too much competition out there from other offers - Christopher Ward, Ginault, Monta, and Traska to name a few.
Ordered my watch on Friday 26 of April…
Ordered my watch on Friday 26 of April and arrived on Saturday the 27 of April great service and great looking watch well pleased I'll wear it with pride cheers sandy x
I wanted to buy a replacement watch for…
I wanted to buy a replacement watch for an old Omega but wanted one that I could rely on, was well made and had a premium feel to it. I trawled through lots of information on the best premium watches at a particular price point. I then came across Nomadic watches which were 'built in Belfast'. After doing some research on the watches and how they became to be. I was taken by the back story. So I took the leap and made an appointment to visit their workshop, with no real intention to purchase a watch. I was met by Michael Rowan who brought me up to the workshop. He talked me through the range of watches, their mechanics and their durability with enthusiasm, professionalism an an indepth knowledge. He,it later transpired, actually built the watches.
I was introduced to other members of the team who were equally enthusiastic about their product. So after a small strap adjustment I walked away as a proud owner of an Emerald Abyss Marai 401 dive watch.
How does the watch feel, well it feels as good to wear as my old Omega and as good as my Submariner. It has kept perfect time. The illumination las
ts well over 4 hours and is very readable during the night. The watch is an updated model with a see through back in which is located 'a nod' to the Nomadic's propeller. It also has 'Built in Belfast' on the dial.
I do find that the bezel rotation compared to my Rolex is a slightly heavier turn.
Regarding the looks.
Well I cannot praise them enough. It definitely looks, feels and is a premium watch in all aspects. I have shown it to friends who are equally enthralled by the back story and cannot get over its quality, looks and feel.
I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It is great that high end watches are made in Belfast and I would like to wish Nomadic watch company all the best for the future.
Must have Micro brand
Excellent customer service and fantastic timepieces.
The selection and purchase process…
The selection and purchase process couldn’t be simpler. I had been aware that the modified Marai 401 was being launched on Friday 15th December, so I waited and ordered the very attractive green dive watch. It arrived as described this evening 19th and I’m delighted with it.
Nomadi Maraì 401 Emerald abyss
Absolutely fantastic experience dealing with the whole team at Nomadic.
From the moment of my enquiry they were extremely helpful, in fact the customer service from Nomadic is the best customer service experience I have had from ANY brand.
The design and history behind each time piece is simply wonderful, each little detail on the watch has been extremely well thought out.
The watch it's self is simply beautiful, the green on my emerald abyss is fabulous, and really changes with the light.
The quality of the watch is excellent, it is extremely well build and it is very comfortable to wear, it really is a tool watch, I have worn it swimming one day, and to work the next, it really is built for adventure and built to last.
I would not hesitate to recommend nomadic watches, for both the quality of the product and their customer service.
You get a lot of watch and history for your money

An absolute pleasure to deal with Peter…
An absolute pleasure to deal with Peter it’s a fantastic watch and an absolute bargain for the quality of the piece!👍
As a watch enthusiast
As a watch enthusiast, I often explore micro brands when I come across them on the web. Scrolled into the Nomadic brand via instagram. Did my usual reads and searches then decided to give them a shot. I went with the Emerald Abyss set, which included the two additional straps. It arrived in approx 5 days (with a customs hold, I’m in the US) packaging was simple and straightforward. Opening the box you’ll find a terrific waxed canvas watch roll. It’s complete the two rubber and nato straps. Both great quality. Tools to safety change the straps if you choose. Then of course the watch. Beautiful finish, weight and detail. The green is amazing especially the dial. The bezel almost looks black at certain angles (which I love). Dial print is crisp and not overwhelming. Nice lume! I love the yellow detail on the second hand. I was able to easily adjust the bracelet, set the time & date and get it on my wrist. Wears well on my 6.25” wrist. I’m 24hours in and can tell it will be in my front line rotation.
A beautiful piece!
Looking forward to what Nomadic brings in the future!
Absolutely beautiful watch
Absolutely beautiful watch. Peter is very helpful. Waiting for the ultimate success of this watch brand.
Quality Nomadic Watch
What a beautiful designed time piece.
I received my Pitch Black 401 watch as a 70th birthday present from my son in Sydney.
My wife Frances collected the watch from Peter the top man at Nomadic watches.
Peter explained the story and proud shipyard history behind the divers watch.
Quality watches from a quality company.
Superbly Designed, Watch Local Brand, Great Service and Back Story
Superb Watch, purchased the Crimson Dawn Marai 401 watch from Peter, the Owner, and Designer of Nomadic.Watches, and I can 100% say I am not disappointed. Peter explained the backstory of the design and concept of the watch, as well as his future plans for a new watch so keep an eye on their socials and web page. He was so geacious with his time, and I was drawn in and am now a dedicated member of the Tribe. The Swiss movement and design are Flawless the dial is so easy read and the sleek bracelet which tapers down fits perfectly on the wrist. Peter took the time to size it and there are interchangeable straps available which are also beautiful, it was a great hour spent with Peter and I hope we catch up again soon, but needless to say I now consider myself a Nomadic Watch Enthusiast. Thank you Peter and Nomadic Watches may you grow from Strength to Strength
Exceptional …
I recently purchased 2 of the Emerald Green Nomadic watches 1 for myself and another as a gift for my father, and I couldn't be happier with the product. The quality of the watch is absolutely second to none.
Peter and the team have been exceptional since my first inquiry right up to receiving my delivery to Sydney today.
I highly recommend the Nomadic watch company to anyone looking for a high-quality timepiece & exceptional customer service.
Thank you Nomadic for making my watch buying experience such a positive one
If you are looking for a high quality…
If you are looking for a high quality timepiece which costs at least a couple of thousand pounds but you want to spend a fraction of that amount than Nomadic watches is the one for you.
The watch itself is stunning. On par with my Tudor Black Bay 58 but with more character and soul. The Emerald Abyss is literally one of a kind, the green is spectacular without being too loud or a distraction. The yellow minute hand sweeps majestically round keeping you glued to the dial face. The dial face overall is easy to read and difficult to look away from!
Add to this the excellent bespoke customer service and you simply can’t beat Nomadic Watches.
5 stars all round - product design, quality, service and VfM!
Well done folks at Nomadic.
Worth taking updiving for.
The watch arrived very promptly after the order was made. It looks fantastic, the alignment is perfect, bezel is very crisp, strap is very comfortable and the colours are perfect - deep and rich. Absolutely thrilled with it. Peter's customer service would embarass other companies - unbelievable engagement and communication. Chuffed with it.
The customer service from Nomadic is…
The customer service from Nomadic is second to none . Peter was in touch with us promptly regarding a difficulty with the watch and arranged pickup, repair and return promptly and with no fuss at all . Beautiful watch !
Just perfect
From start to finish the purchase of this watch has been a pleasure. I'll start not with the watch, but with the owner of the company, Peter. Having measured my wrist (incorrectly as it turned out), I emailed Nomadic to ask if the bracelet would be large enough to fit my wrist. It wasn't, so Peter said he would not only add extra links free of charge, but would adjust the strap to the exact measurement I had specified.
With that resolved I had to bite the bullet and order the watch. Now, for around six months I have been searching for my first ever, and probably only ever, really classy watch. I was sorely tempted by a TAG Aquaracer, but then, after looking at literally tens of thousands of watches, I stumbled across Nomadic. I looked at the watch and the 401 Marai leapt off the page at me. It looked truly beautiful.
Not being impulsive I went to the reviews and realised that Peter had, in this watch, created a timepiece which would not be out of place sitting alongside watches two or three times the price. This was a one off purchase for me, and the unit was more important than the price. To find this and compare it against the others on my shortlist was joyful. My shortlist comprised the TAG Aquaracer, a Breitling, an Omega and a Tudor. There was something about the Nomadic that kept pulling me back to it and so it was I took the plunge.
My watch duly arrived. No fancy box, but a very practical canvas fold up case comprising the watch, two tools for adding or removing links, a cellophane resealable bag with an extra link, glue and instructions on changing links and finally a notebook. Disappointment immediately struck as the strap I'd asked to be enlarged was far too big - my fault! Another email to Peter and I was assured there would be no breach of warranty having it adjusted at a jewellers.
At last I had the watch properly on my wrist. I set the time and worked out the screw-in crown, something alien to me in previous watches I'd owned. Then started my owner's experience. I now understand what people mean when they state a watch "wears nicely." This really does. It oozes quality, punching far above its weight. It sits beautifully on the wrist, is a perfect weight, the face and bezel are stunning, and the yellow second hand sweeps effortlessly around the face, almost hypnotic in its smooth movement. I love this watch. I have no doubt whatsoever that it is every bit as good, if not better than others on my shortlist.
Would I change it at all?
To be incredibly fussy I might, but then I'd probably rather these be incorporated into another watch in the range. I think having the date only in numbers at 6 o'clock would keep the watchface balanced whilst adding a useful feature. Also it seems to me there is space for one or two more holes of microadjustment on the clasp which would be useful for me. Those two ultra-critical things aside, I really don't think I would change anything. The brushed steel contrasts perfectly with the beautifully designed face. The hands glow right through the night making telling the time easy, an experience which would be emulated if used for diving.
Peter, you and your team at Nomadic have worked wonders with this watch. It is truly beautiful, markings are clear, branding is subtle but present on the face, crown and bracelet clasp. You have a very happy customer here. Your customer service is absolutely outstanding and I feel safe in the knowledge that in the unlikely event there is a problem with it, you will resolve it without quibbling.
Thank you for making owning a real quality watch so affordable and such a massive pleasure.
