Hi, we're James and Rebecca. Each week we deliver fresh pasta and delicious sauces to your door ready to cook and eat in under 5 minutes In 2017 we packed up our possessions and our 6 month old son and went on a tour of Italy to learn the authentic way to make fresh pasta. Now we deliver fresh pasta and homemade sauces to you. Made each morning, our pasta is the freshest around. Each dish includes fresh pasta, a delicious homemade sauce and fresh parmesan and can be prepared and ready to eat in under 5 minutes.

Food is delicious. Every.single.time. They always send it promptly and at a time where I’m in the mood to get a takeaway but instead I go for Nonna Tonda! It’s like dining out food but at home and u can tell they’re using good quality produce. Love it

Consistently brilliant
Been with them awhile now, their food is consistently brilliant quality. I’m a keen home cook and the quality of their meals are restaurant standard. Tried the pizza’s today and I felt compelled to leave a review as they are the best pizza’s we’ve had outside of Italy!! The kids love it as do the grown ups. Highly recommend!! Thank you!!

I was given a gift of meals by my son…
I was given a gift of meals by my son who is currently on the other side of the world. He knows I love Italian food so this was an incredibly thoughtful gift that I so wanted to love, but sadly I didn’t. The packaging is fine, although I was momentarily confused as to why the box contained a small bag of water until I twigged it was supposed to be an ice pack, I never had ice, just water so no idea how long the box had been hanging around in an unchilled environment! The pasta itself is ok, nothing to write home about but perfectly ok. The sauces though are another story and what lets down what is a great concept. I divided each pack into 2 and had them over 2 days.
Week 1 - aubergine ravioli with butter sauce, the ravioli was well made but incredibly bland as though it had no seasoning, it needed a punchy sauce to alleviate the blandness, the butter sauce wasn’t it. Day 1 I had it just as it arrived but on day 2 I added a small amount of finely chopped fresh chilli and also cooked some broccolini and asparagus tips in the sauce before adding the ravioli - adding the touch of chilli really elevated the sauce.
Week 2 - Lamb and red pepper - the biggest disappointment, I chose the lamb after watching the recipe video. Yes I know in hindsight I should have read the ingredients but I didn’t, I was seduced by the video which really was a case of Instagram v reality. I was fully expecting pieces of slow cooked shredded lamb and visible slices of roasted red pepper. What I got was hunt the tiny morsel of lamb mince and microscopic pieces of pepper and diced carrots - carrots which didn’t seem relevant in the video. The main issue though was the fat, I had to mop it out of the pan there was so much, it was not pleasant.
Week 3 - mushroom sauce, you can’t go wrong with mushroom sauce can you. Again the video shows pasta coated in a creamy unctious sauce but the reality was a thin sauce, no discernible lemon and definitely no fresh parsley, bits of grey slimy mushrooms, it tasted like cheap mushroom soup. Day 2 I added lemon juice and parsley and fried a sliced large portobello mushroom with garlic and added it to the sauce with some extra cream - it made it edible.
Week 4 - Ragu Calabrese & Cime di Rapa, it was inedible, that’s it, bits of mince floating in a thin under seasoned sauce and still using up the cheap carrots from Easter to bulk out the ingredients, I ate the pasta on day 2 but served with my own pork and chorizo ragu I had in the freezer.
I’m sorry to be negative, the concept is great, the pasta is fine but the sauces do need working on and make sure they resemble what is posted on the website and instagram.

We aim to create dishes that stay true to authentic Italian cooking, using fresh ingredients and simple combinations that let those ingredients speak for themselves. That can sometimes mean flavours are more subtle than people expect, particularly if you’re used to richer or more heavily seasoned sauces. That said, what you’ve described goes beyond that, and it’s clear we didn’t strike the right balance in your case.
Your comments about the sauces, the consistency, seasoning, and how they compare to what’s shown in our videos, are taken seriously. While our intention is always to represent our dishes honestly, we recognise that there may be inconsistencies, and it’s clear from your experience that we need to pay closer attention to quality control to ensure every box meets the standard we’re aiming for.

Very authentic Italian
The DIY pizza received today was probably the best pizza we've ever eaten, absolutely delicious. Overall their food is fantastic. We had a wonderful ravioli yesterday, very authentic Italian. I can't recommend them enough.

Nonna Tonda is amazing
Nonna Tonda is amazing. The pasta and the sauces are amazing. If i close my eyes when eating I am taken to the little Trattoria in that part of Italy, how Nonna Tonda manages to get the flavours just right is amazing.
I just wish they would sell the Risotto as a main item as honestly i could eat that and the pasta every day.

Despite this, she proceeded to activate a subscription and process an order without my authorisation. I consider this to be a serious breach of trust and potentially fraudulent behaviour.

my pasta didnt arrive. the ladies in the office were very helpful and i should get a credit off my next delivery on 1st may. however i was looking forward to my carbonara and i never got it.

Blown away! So easy and quick to heat up and have the BEST pasta or pizza. What a find! Fantastic high quality ingredients, great value. But the taste is just wow! You have to try to know. Very easy to skip a week and portions of the pasta are huge.
