Everything went as planned from point a to point z. Just a minor scratch on a piece of furniture that might have already even been there. Movers were nice and helpful at pickup and delivery. Will use them again if I move.

Nester and his team did a great job! From explaining everything up front with potential of taking longer than anticipated to the care packaging up and loading all items including heavy furniture. Professional, courteous, and honest. Also, thank you. To Christian and Sebastian who were readily available during entire move. Best move experience I had! Thank you!

I had to delay pickup by two days. They rearranged their schedule and didn’t try to charge me an arm and a leg. That flexibility is rare.

Moving is SOOOO stressful but Northern Moving Co. took a lot of that away for me! They showed up on time, were professional, polite, and worked quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a big move coming up!

Please read previous reviews. This company increase our costs by $3000 for the same exact listed items that were discussed.
They are a broker that do ZERO work. Go the you’re local movers. Contact them directly.
I do not recommend northern moving systems and I will be saying that too all my friends, family, and especially my real estate clients.

Movers showed up perfectly on schedule, were extremely helpful, personable, and quick! No surprises and everything ended up where I expected it to!

Be careful - This company subcontracts the work out. In my case, they contracted my move out to an unprofessional outfit that showed up late, moved slow, didn't wear uniforms (not usually a red flag, but Northern Moving Systems said they would). Then that company ended up charging me more than I was quoted. Left with some damaged items, drywall, and trim.

I called Northern about this and the vibe I got was that they don't do much vetting on who they subcontract with. Use this company with caution, you won't know who you will get stuck with.

Buyer Beware! Northern Moving Systems increased our moving cost by nearly $10,000 on pickup day — even though our items were exactly the same as what we showed during the virtual walkthrough. Their representative had specifically said she only needed to see the large items, then later charged us for the smaller ones she chose not to include. We made multiple calls and requested the video recording to prove what was said but received no response. This felt like a bait-and-switch — I cannot recommend this company.

Update:
Since posting this review, the company’s behavior has only confirmed our concerns. They removed access to the most recent quote, ignored calls and emails, and even delayed delivery as retaliation for us requesting evidence of their mistakes. When the movers finally did arrive, they were understaffed — my nephew had to rent a dolly and help them unload — and they got there so late that they did not reassemble the furniture that was in the contract for them to specifically handle.

Worst of all, they were contacted by someone posing as a “complaint specialist” from a FAKE company, who tried to pressure them to take down this review in exchange for “help” resolving their dispute. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident — others have reported the same bait-and-switch tactics followed by fake resolution attempts.

The pattern is clear: shifting blame to customers, avoiding accountability, and trying to silence negative reviews. If you value transparency and honesty, steer very clear!

Hired Northern and we didn't know when we were actually going to move. They gave us a floating reservation and told us that we could come back once we knew when we were going to move as far as the day and go ahead and book it. We scheduled early to take advantage of a price drop and we came back later and we were able to actually get the day after the date that we actually wanted. The day after worked for us because we got our things on the weekend anyhow. Everything worked out pretty good. Thx.

Great company, took their time packing all my fine china and TVs and EVERYTHING! I would highly recommend them to anyone and EVERYONE! Decent price, right in the middle of everyone else, but well worth every dollar!

Movers did a really good job… office staff was very nice

Wow, they somehow were able to remove my first review. This is a scam company! Trust Pilot, please contact me and I will provide all the receipts. This company quoted us 6k for our move from California to Oregon. They never told us they would be hiring sub contractors. The sub contractors they hired were unprofessional and most of them were undocumented getting paid pennies to do the work. Upon the arrival of the sub contractors they told us we are looking at $14k when all of our things had been moved downstairs of our 28th floor high rise and told us they would leave all of it down there if we didn’t sign the contract and agree. No one at Northern was picking up the phone, they were dodging us. After our furniture had been delivered and $1000 in damage had been done, they turned us over to a “resolution” company that is also a scam, is not licensed, no website, and every time I would leave a review he would call me and threaten me. The last time he said and I have proof of this, each time you leave a review they will have more good reviews that will flood your 1 star review and it won’t matter. I have photos, receipts and a huge folder to prove this. Most of the 5 star reviews on here are super fake! There is so much more to what I am saying. This experience caused us financial hardship and extreme stress, no one at that company has a moral compass. They are all heartless and all out to get your money. DO NOT FALL FOR THEM. They ARE A HUGE SCAM!

Very frustrating. I generally don’t provide negative reviews but in this case I’m making an exception. I called and was very clear I needed my stuff on either the 19th or 20th. Was told by Michael it wouldn’t be a problem. Was sent docs to sign stating it could take up to 2 weeks from first available delivery date after I paid 50% deposit but was again reassured it wouldn’t be a problem. I also specifically asked if this was the actual moving company and not a broker. Mike said it was. Well they turned our job over to another company called All Moving Relocation who basically washed their hands of everything we were told. Several calls to Mike at Northern were ignored. At this point we were dealing with All Moving We also added a few small things after we contracted and the claimed the stuff would take up so much space on the truck and charged us an extra $500 over the initial quote. And since they charge based n how much space you have no way of actually knowing if you’re being overcharged. The original quote was $2500 and the stuff we added was nowhere near 20% of the stuff originally quoted for but you have no choice but to pay at that point. The worst was that as of Friday the 18th afternoon they still couldn’t confirm when my stuff would be delivered. Definitely not the 19th maybe the 20th or 21st. This required us to rent a hotel room at $350 a night for 2 nights and take off work. We didn’t get confirmation of when the delivery would be until the 19th. Then was told it would be the next day. And of course several calls to Northern were ignored. This was a horrible frustrating experience. The only positive thing is that the stuff was actually delivered on the 20th in tact and the actual moving men were very nice. But shame n All Moving for stringing us along and not committing to a delivery date until the night before and shame on Northern for saying they weren’t a broker when they were and overcharging us for the few extra things and the horrible service after they got their money.
