I wish I’d read the reviews on here prior to booking this company. I needed an engineer and found Northumbria Technical Services Ltd T/A UK. They told me on the phone the cost of the report I required was £75 and they’d be able to provide what I needed-a full independent report required by the seller of the fridge, to enable me to make a claim using the Customer Protection Act due to faulty goods, as I was instructed by Trading Standards who guided us through it. I cannot proceed with the claim until this company provide us with a written report on headed paper. This was all agreed on the phone. The engineer came and gave me his findings verbally and promised me it’d all be written down and contain the exact information I needed. They refused to do anything when I rang to ask for the report until I’d paid £90. I queried and said £75 and was told this didn’t include VAT. After several requests and payment of £90, I got the ‘engineer's written report’, which was basically a repair quote. Eventually they admitted they wouldn’t provide one with the information we needed, after telling us they would. So we have a useless quote and are no further forward with our case, no working fridge freezer, and are £90 down.

Feel extremely disappointed and let down by them. Avoid.

I boked this company I June 2022 to…

I booked this company I June 2022 to repair my fridge freezer which was leaking water,the engineer came out & I moved the appliance out of the Space so he could make a full inspection of it..he informed me I would have to defrost it first so he could call back & repair it, we then both pushed the appliance back into the space as we did we realised we had ripped up the lino flooring causing severe damage..when I contacted the company to make a complaint & a valid insurance claim..the engineer stated that he never touched the appliance & I alone caused the damage to the flooring...absolute liar!!!..be very careful when you use this company.

Highly recommend NTS.

Steve was efficient, kind and professional. I trusted his judgement and his experience. He sorted out my smeg coooker hood and the advice he gave was very useful.
Very quick service. Punctual and cleaned up after the job.

They don't know the meaning of customer service.

Northumbria Technical Services Ltd T/A UK Service. This company have absolutely no customer service at all. They basically couldn't care less. Then don't bother to reply to emails, if you phone them they say they will deal with your request/enquiry but of course, THEY DON'T. Been asking for an engineer's written report for over 2 months now, which is required by the seller of the fridge, to enable them to make a claim using the Customer Protection Act due to faulty goods. The seller is unable to proceed with the claim until this company provide us with a written engineers report. Currently have no working fridge and they couldn't care less. They're absolutely useless. Feel extremely disappointed and let down by them.

Not only do they not turn up when they…

Not only do they not turn up when they are supposed to, they don't even tell you they aren't coming so you end up wasting a day waiting at home for them. What's almost worse is the dismissive and surly so-called 'Customer Service' staff when you ring to enquire what's going on! Incredibly rude and insulting to potential and existing customers. The fact that they behave in this manner just proves the owner doesn't care about customer service. Avoid this company!

Unbelievably bad customer service

Unbelievably bad customer service. 3 appointments made, 2 were total no shows and no apology, despite being all day appointments and me taking days off work to be able to cover. Manager, Steve Maguire, refuses to return phone calls to discuss, despite being given the messages! Would avoid this company NTS ltd at all costs
