I recently joined the No Theory Club and have been very impressed with the experience. What sets this community apart is its focus on practical, real-world learning rather than endless discussions about theory. The content is easy to understand, actionable, and designed to help members make progress quickly.

The community is welcoming and supportive, with members willing to share their experiences, answer questions, and help each other succeed. I especially appreciate the straightforward approach and the emphasis on taking action instead of getting stuck in analysis.

One of the biggest benefits for me has been gaining a better understanding of rhythm. As someone learning guitar later in life, rhythm was always something I struggled with. The lessons and discussions have helped me start developing a feel for timing and groove in a way that finally makes sense. I’m finding it easier to keep a steady beat and enjoy playing songs more than ever.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve your skills, the No Theory Club provides valuable insights, encouragement, and a positive environment for learning. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to focus on results, build confidence, and continue improving their skills.
Early in my journey a question was asked in the community forum “ If a friend asked you to play rhythm at an upcoming gig would you say yes” at first I said no way now after completing the 7 day challenge and on day 6 of the 30 day challenge I would say yes.

For anyone feeling stuck with trying to learn guitar, for anyone who just don't "get to it" enough to progress or feeling overwhelmed by endless YouTube videos, I can highly recommend giving No Theory Club a try.

I was teaching myself to play guitar, mostly through YouTube tutorials, and I thought I was doing pretty well. But I often found myself frustrated by the rabbit hole of videos and instructions. Different guitarists seemed to play the same songs in different ways, use different chord, and speak a language of music theory that I simply didn’t understand and was hard to follow. It all felt overwhelming at times and made me doubt whether I’d ever be able to learn enough to progress beyond the beginner level.

Then I stumbled across one of Michael Rice’s tutorials and instantly connected with his simple, relaxed, and engaging teaching style.

I decided to try No Theory Club and Michael’s 7-Day Challenge.
I was hooked.

I am blessed to have found Michael Rice NTC (No Theory Club)! Even as I struggle with symptoms of having had a stroke (effects my entire right side & in 2011 my left arm & hand was electrocuted); yet I am convinced this is where I finally become a real guitar player! Michael Rice is a wonderful teacher, taking you step by step & is very supportive of you progress; as is his growing community!! If your dream is to learn to play fast & never be on your own again to figure it all out or to just quit; start with his 7 day challenge! I’m on day five yet have such hope that I also already bought a membership! It truly feels like my lifelong dream (Oh & tomorrow’s my birthday of over 60yrs) is coming true, thanks to Michael, his NTC & I’m glad to be part of a growing family like community! Don’t wait try it!

Michael's club is a fun and supportive learning environment, Not only he is he supportive and offers great tools the members are very nice and encouraging towards everyone no matter your skill level!

I have found The No Theory Club to be an amazing wonderful experience!! I love working and learning with Michael Rice and the others! They are the real deal as opposed to others that are on YouTube and trust me I have tried many! I just love it! I’ve only been with them about a month and have not put down my guitar since!

Great teacher but as usual things change after they get your $$. Signed up for the $1000, 90 day course and only got 1 one on one lesson. Group lessons are far too busy as there’s too many people at once. Ended up getting a $300 refund and VIP for life which doesn’t really help. Takes forever to get messages answered.

I have had my Guitar now for a number of years and haven’t really progressed much beside playing scales. I’ve tried a number of online courses and really haven’t progressed much. I stumbled across no theory club on social media and thought I’d give it a try since I’m also taking a class in a little behind in it thinking this would help me come up to speed. Well, I took the seven day course and am already nearly playing two full songs. This is absolutely fantastic and it’s helped me a great deal. I’ve been excited to learn the guitar, but because of this and that I haven’t had the opportunity to really devote my time to it. Well since finding this course I’ve got renewed vigor. I’ve completed the seven day and looking forward to the 30 day. I would highly recommend No Theory Club if you really want to learn to play the guitar!

Great place to start! supportive and active community with lots of tips and tricks. Excellent content and classroom and the creator Michael is never to long with helpful advice when needed. I was playing 2 songs within the first week! Definitely don’t miss out on this one.

Already made some progress in the first couple of days...the 7 day course is why i now feel like i am playing the guitar. Have some rhythm and it starts to sound like a melody.

Down to earth communication and everything has been simplified. Have only started guitar at the start of this year and at my age (68) Ithought it was to late. No theory club has built the passion to continue.

Great for learning guitar 🎸

I started out March 2 this year with The No Theroy Club and I have never played a guitar. Always wanted to learn and teach myself over many years. I stumbled across Michael Rice on Tic Tok one day and went to his No Theroy Club site. It was the best decision I have made in my life as far as a life changing experience and I am 51 years old woman. I went from wanting to play to actually playing a few songs today. His 1st lesson is called Play your first song within 7 days. And believe me YOU Will BE.. I'm proof of that. The group of folks all around the world become your pals, ur comfort and your critics, as well as with Michael Rice. You can ask questions,get feed back from group and post videos of how you are progressing and or struggling. Michael Rice has wonderful videos with his lessons and instructions and will get back to you with questions. This is the ultimate platform on the Internet in my opinion. You want try anything while or after you give it a try ...

I had tried guitar when I was younger but always gave up because of no guidance. Finding this site and Michael’s patience has made all the difference in sticking with it.After 30 years I am finally playing and enjoying it.

Just starting but I can say the lesson and hints are already making learning seem easier. I'll review again as time goes on. Excited to see what's next, my friends are impressed with the improvement with my guitar just a little bit I’m practicing every day when I have time to play my guitar.

Imma give it a four stars, because it’s great to get some of the easy stuff in quick and play some songs you like. Tho there for me is needing the next steps onward to smth like blues which is what Im currently working on. But also occasionally coming back to get better, because I’m def not perfect

The videos are great. He breaks down what you need to do, why, and how to do chord changes in a logical way. Soo glad I found this group.
