CHEAP TAT - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
If I could give this shop 0 stars I would have - doesn’t deserve the 1 star I had to give!
Ordered 3 satin blouses for £93 on 3rd Sept which I received on the 22nd. The quality was so poor that I immediately contacted Nouvar to start the return process. I was offered a 10% refund and keep the items, which was naturally rejected and I was advised that I would have to return the items to China at my own expense. I was also advised that the return process was very long, so l returned them on the 23rd at a cost of £22.50. I continually tracked the package and it sat in Customs in China for weeks. I contacted Olivia Carter AGAIN and she quickly replied offering me a 30% refund ‘as a gesture of good will’ (what a joke!) which I again refused and advised them I would be taking the matter further to which I received no response. I contacted Barclaycard and received my money back. I am still however out of pocket £22.50 (and a lot of wasted time but you live and learn)! Had I of checked their reviews first I would not have ordered - their reviews are appallingly!! They advertise quality items but what you see and what you receive are two entirely different products.

I would not have even provided 1 star - scam company

I would not have even provided 1 star. Unfortunately the reviews are all correct, this is a scam company. I spent £160 and all items were not as pictured. Very poor quality. When I raised it the company said that they would give me store credit or give me 20% refund for keeping the clothes. The issue was that the clothes were so bad and I could never think about wearing any of them. I decided to ship them back to to China (which I was shocked at when I found that this was where I needed to ship too), the parcel has been held at customs for months because it's waiting to hear from the warehouse. I have asked Nouvar to refund me the whole amount but they are refusing.
The same pictures appear to be on other sites so I assume these are also scam websites.

I strongly advise people to be careful when ordering from Nouvar. The items shown on their website are misleading. The sizes are incorrect, and the quality is completely different from what is shown and described online. The products I received do not match the pictures or descriptions on the website.

I have tried many times to contact the company by email to request a refund, but each time they responded with different excuses and have still not returned my money. The amount is £55, and it has now been several months without any proper resolution.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected a professional response and fair treatment as a customer, but unfortunately this has not been the case. If this issue is not resolved, I will consider reporting the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities.

Item Not as Described – Avoid

I received an item that was not as described — the quality, colour, and design didn’t match the website. NOUVAR.com refused a full refund, offering store credit, a 10% partial refund, or a return to China at my own expense. Under UK law, I should have been entitled to a full refund. I would not recommend buying from them.

Bought the anti theft backpack which…

Bought the anti theft backpack which looks great on the site and claims to be leather. This is a flimsy cheap fake “leather” lookalike and it absolutely stinks - that disgusting fishy smell and I cannot get the smell out. Sadly this renders the bag unusable.

Total scam

Total scam! DO NOT BUY! My wife paid $300 for clothing, supposedly linen. Items were cheap and tacky, not linen and looked like Temu. Requested refund sent items by post with tracking number and “never arrived” they then offered 30% refund. Upsetting! Rated no stars!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, I so wish I had read the reviews before I bought from these charlatans. Cheap Chinese rubbish tarted up as quality. They send the wrong item, you have to pay for returns, to CHINA, then they declare the item never arrived despite it being tracked as arrived. I’m sort of glad not to be the only one with a very similar experience as you think you are going mad dealing with their customer “service”. This has been ongoing since early December and still no resolution. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Update - order 5801. No refund received yet and all they say is well we have paid it and here is proof of it leaving our account. Well I had proof of my returned item arriving back with you and you wouldn’t accept that. What a bunch of idiots. Refund now

Absolutely disgusting, Fortunately we pair through PayPal so got a full refund. Talk about scammers, I should have read reviews first before dealing with this scamming company. Quality of "Silk PJ's" was rubbish, not silk at all and quality was a minus 1 star...

Quality leather bag was cheap and flimsy. Doesn’t seem like leather at all. Ripped on second use. Very disappointing, I feel completely conned.

Poor product, poor customer service.

Had a lovely handbag given to me for Christmas but the zip broke the first time I used it. Tried to get it replaced, but they wouldn't! Even offered me 25% off my next purchase!!! Having read the other reviews, I see i shouldn't be surprised! Very disappointing!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Very disappointing!!
The material used is very cheap. They have a returns policy of 30 days but you must internationally track the item. Their warehouse is in Asia yet they only provide their address in China. Item returned on 26 September 2025 tracked was not collected by them at the post office, so was only returned to me on 14 January 2026.
All they do is agree to give you a refund of a percentage of the cost as a gesture of goodwill.

Buyer BEWARE

I am writing this review on January 10 2026 after a long and frustrating and unsuccessful battle with his company.
I returned goods purchased after many emails to ascertain the return address - CHINA! even though the company claimed to be in Europe.
Australia Post tracking indicated the parcel had reached the customs office in the designated region, and was awaiting collection upon payment of a small customs duty.
I notified the company by email of this status and number of times.
No response!
It was never collected, even though I instigated a Paypal claim meaning the company was contacted by Paypal too.
As far as I know the returned goods are sitting in the customs office uncollected, and I have not received a refund from Nouvar (or Stefan Francis, the human behind this company and at least one, other selling the same products and purporting to be based in Australia)
I instigated this return in September 2025. I will never see the refund as promised on the website of tis company

Don’t buy from Nouvar

Don’t buy from Nouvar. The dress that arrived could not be worn, it was 4 sizes too big and made of a completely different fabric to what was advertised. They say full refund within 30 days but won’t do this. They only offer a 10% discount on a future purchase, and when pressed, a 20% discount. I returned it to china, at a cost of $25, but they refuse to acknowledge they have received it.
