Absolutely shocking behaviour from one of their so called consultants, Jed.
After applying for an educational role I get a call after 7pm Thursday evening. This person began quite sheepish and was not forthright regarding the role. When it transpired that I had applied for several other jobs 'Jed' was overly enthusiastic about getting this school's name, which I understand he wants to make sure it's not one of his. We continued and it became clear that the school was not in his area though he was adamant and rude to continue to ascertain this information. I told him explicitly and professionally, though his response was to laugh and behave in a very stupid manner. If this is the front of house for your agency, get some professionalism and sincerity!

Friendly staff who go through the whole process with you. The app is easy to use and shifts are organised well in advance. Payment is on the agreed dates and check ins happen regularly to see how you are getting on. The whole experience has been positive, polite, calm, organised and professional. I will be sticking with them for all future supply wotk

I work with Now Education Lincoln as a primary supply teacher and have had an amazing experience. There was a thorough background check before I started which gave me the reassurance that they took child safety very seriously. I have had work every week since I started in March and have been paid weekly on time with a decent wage. My manager Jovita is kind, supportive and very encouraging. All the schools I've been in have been varied in size and location but I have enjoyed visiting every one. Can't fault this agency....just been offered a long term post. Thanks for the opportunity..

Don't register with Now Education Birmingham, a very dishonest recruitment agency that will lie to you so they can earn commission pay

I recently had an experience with Now Education, a UK-based education agency, and I must say, it has been a journey of extreme highs and disappointing lows.

Initial Interaction and Onboarding Process:

Their enthusiasm was palpable when I expressed interest in joining Now Education as a supply teaching assistant. The recruitment team was incredibly responsive, and their communication was professional and friendly. The onboarding process, however, was extensive. I was asked to provide an array of documentation and references, which included:

- Proof of identity
- Qualification certificates
- Enhanced DBS check
- 3 Professional references from previous employers
- Right-to-work documents
- Police clearance from home country

While the thoroughness of their vetting process initially gave me confidence in their commitment to quality and compliance, it soon became overwhelming. The volume of paperwork required was substantial, and the process felt somewhat bureaucratic.

Post-Onboarding Experience:

After completing the onboarding process, I was optimistic about securing my first placement. However, this optimism quickly faded. Despite their initial enthusiasm, the agency's communication dramatically dropped off. Weeks turned into a month, and I was in limbo, awaiting a job offer that never materialized.

Attempts to contact Now Education for updates were met with generic responses or, at times, no response. The stark contrast between their eagerness during onboarding and the subsequent lack of follow-through was frustrating and disheartening.

Conclusion:

My experience with Now Education has been a mix of diligent initial engagement and disappointing post-onboarding support. The rigorous documentation and reference checks indicate a commitment to quality, but this commitment seems to falter once the onboarding process is complete. Prospective candidates should be aware of the possibility of a prolonged waiting period for job placements.

While supply teaching roles can be subject to position availability, more transparent communication and regular updates would significantly improve the candidate experience. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I find it challenging to recommend Now Education without reservations. They show great potential, but their follow-through leaves much to be desired.

- Pros: Professional and enthusiastic onboarding process, thorough vetting procedures.
- Cons: Poor post-onboarding communication, no job placements offered despite successful onboarding.

I hope Now Education takes this feedback constructively and improves its follow-up process to support its candidates better.
