The surveyor who did the sampling was very professional and friendly. He also smelled gas (which we hadn’t noticed) and recommended we call an emergency engineer, which we did, and we found out we had a leak. Great service!

It’s very rare you get a great service from start to finish. I had to get some testing done on my house recently and everything was so easy. Quote, technician attends, link to pay the invoice, results in the timescales advice (including an ad hoc bank holiday). All the members of staff I encountered were fantastic & so polite. Well done NSUK Group - it takes a lot to impress me, but you managed it!

I am a children's doctor, with a respiratory condition diagnosed since my childhood. I commissioned survey NS17134 (done on 16/9/22, report released 21/9/22). I paid NSUK £222 for a full Asbestos Management survey after the RICS level 3 survey identified loose fill insulation (vermiculite) as possibly containing asbestos. The £222 included unlimited sampling. NSUK did the survey, sent 2 samples from the textured ceilings but refused to send the insulation for testing; A) despite it being a paid-for unlimited sample survey and B) despite me specifically requesting this was my concern and I wanted it sent for testing in writing and C) me verbally requesting this was sent for testing over the phone on the morning of the survey. I made a formal complaint in writing on PM of 21/9/22 after report receipt requesting accountability - and got a response from someone who did not leave their name claiming I am not an expert so cannot advise what they should or should not decide to test; and stating I could test the insulation myself with a self-test kit. This is a truly shameful response. I have requested escalation to their UK Regulator/Ombudsman (they have failed to provide details of who this is); and in the absence of properly addressing my complaint as per the standard procedure - I will be taking legal action against NSUK. My advice - keep away from this shambolic company
21/9/22PM Edit: NSUK later offered a 'negotiated solution' - they are willing to re-send a surveyor to test the insulation (they should have tested in the first place)...but only after I remove the negative feedback. I informed them I do not respond to bribes - particularly those disguised as 'negotiation' ('It is unethical behaviour, clearly intended to control my feedback as opposed to addressing the real issue - performing a test that had clearly been paid for' were my exact words to them). And I paid the £222 in *advance* as well...Truly awful. (All of the above can be backed up with written evidence, by the way). Furthermore - as is my right as a consumer- I asked for their formal complaint procedure - they never provided it. I asked for information about their regulator – they never provided it. I asked for the address of service of legal proceedings (which they said was 'threatening behaviour') - they never provided it. They have claimed this review is ‘slanderous’
22/9/22 Edit: NSUK's response below is dishonest. They are in the process of sending me a self-test kit after I requested one 3 times (I do not trust their surveyors work, so would never accept him re-attending). I have date-and-time stamped proof emails emphasising my priority is knowing whether the vermiculite is an ACM or not - not to escalate this in any way. There are also emails from Annabel asking Louise to send me a test kit…this is the kit they are claiming I have refused.
What a desperate response NSUK - shame on you. This isn't and was never about money - it's about my health, my principles and holding you to account. Ridiculous company, ridiculous response to a legitimate challenge, and ridiculously dishonest suggestion this is about money. It is yet to be seen if they truly send the self-test kit

Asbestos survey
We needed an asbestos survey done on our new house and it was all booked in really easily. We got a text from our surveyor the day before to confirm the appointment and then another from the company on the morning of the appointment. Our surveyor was on time and was really friendly and knowledgeable.
Fire risk assessment & asbestos report
Needed a fire risk assessment and asbestos report done super quick. They got back to me with a great quote on the Friday, booked in for the Sunday and I had everything I needed by the Tuesday. Can't fault the service.
Surveyor did not turn up, NSUK response alarming.
Surveyor did not turn up, all arrangements such as inductions, security clearances, opening of spaces, individual offices, and access equipment plans were redundant. NSUK's voicemail 3hrs later stating 'its all OK he's on his way' hours after the appointment was frustrating. NSUK then defensively claimed they had tried to get in touch until I pointed out they had only done so hours after the appointment and after my email confirming non attendance. I then received a rescheduled appointment with no written apology for the failings. I noted an NSUK response to this review stating they were not aware of a client that reflects this position, I would refer NSUK to the copious emails they sent to me. Such a denial further brought the integrity of NSUK into question. Another review highlighted NSUK manipulation of previous bad reviews by changing the Co. name- can't validate this but clients beware!
